Hunts Hotel Liverpool
Liverpool,Sydney - View on map
"We've stayed at over a dozen places over the years as we come up to Sydney from Canberra to see the footy (AFL). This is by far the best place, value for money that we have stayed at. The location (Liverpool) and stopped us from staying here in the past as it is a ways from the SCG and Olympic Stadium but the traffic to the game and back was no where near as bad as we anticipated. The Family room we hired was just perfect for us and we had a great feed at the restaurant which meant we could have a few drinks and not worry about driving the night before the game. All in all we were very pleased!!!"

"It's the third time that I stayed at meriton Chatswood.Everything was great as always. The only issue that we faced this time ,was that our room was not cleaned till 4pm.We then started calling them around noon to ensure that the room was clean.Otherwise the staff at the reception was amazing and very helpful."

Meriton Suites Kent Street
Sydney CBD,Sydney - View on map
"Was initially abit skeptical since hotels in sydney are not very promising as the price tag goes down. opted for a service apartment on kent street knowing that george street tends to be quite noisy at night, being one street behind does provide good level of quietness at night for sleep. Stayed in a studio only for two, extremely convenient, and the rooms were extremely spacious. Felt just like home, with kitchen, dining table albiet small, sofa, and the bed was tucked away into a separate zone. Stayed for 5 nights and was very satisfied. Would not stay in hotel again, and kent street Meriton will deifnitely be my first choice again next time when visiting sydney. "

Quest Macquarie Park
Ryde,Sydney - View on map
"Quest is popping up all over Australia now and you get a mixed bag with the quality. This one is new and first class. I had a long day, and went to the wrong Quest up the road......But eventually found friendly staff, great shower, easy washing machine, soft bed, lovely breakfast; I’ve stayed in a few around the university and business park area, but will stick with this one from now on"

More about Sydney

As the capital of New South Wales, Sydney is the largest and most cosmopolitan city of Australia. Several large metropolitan areas and a wide network of trains and buses cater to the city. Sydney Airport is the gateway for the majority of visitors, and Green Square station can be used to access the city.

The city of Sydney is host to many famous landmarks, none more so than the iconic Sydney Opera House. The opera house as well as the Sydney Harbour Bridge are both situated on Circular Quay, a hub of activity and the location of the city’s ferry terminal. Beaches are also a popular draw, including the likes of Bondi Beach. Bondi’s Campbell Parade is a busy area both day and night, and shops, cafes, and bars line the beachfront.

Shopping areas of the city are readily available. Exclusive boutiques can be spotted on Oxford Street in Paddington, and Pitt Street is home to the luxury brands and department stores. Sydney is also very pedestrian friendly. The city’s friendly weather and wide footpaths encourage exploration of the city, and with all it has to offer, visitors find it hard to decline.
