Meriton Suites Kent Street
Sydney CBD,Sydney - View on map
"Was initially abit skeptical since hotels in sydney are not very promising as the price tag goes down. opted for a service apartment on kent street knowing that george street tends to be quite noisy at night, being one street behind does provide good level of quietness at night for sleep. Stayed in a studio only for two, extremely convenient, and the rooms were extremely spacious. Felt just like home, with kitchen, dining table albiet small, sofa, and the bed was tucked away into a separate zone. Stayed for 5 nights and was very satisfied. Would not stay in hotel again, and kent street Meriton will deifnitely be my first choice again next time when visiting sydney. "

Meriton Suites Sussex Street
Darling Harbour,Sydney - View on map
"From the time I checked in on Friday to my departure the following Monday, my stay was exceptional. Staff were very professional, friendly and welcoming. I had a few requests and their guest service department was very efficient and accommodating. The one bedroom apartment was clean, very modern, well equipped, light, airy and spacious, having a lovely view of Darling Harbour. The shower and bathroom were a good size and the king size bed and pillows were very comfortable and luxurious. The coffee machine was a real treat and the kitchenette was well designed with ample bench space and quality appliances and fixtures. I'm looking forward to spending more time at Meriton Suites Sussex St on my next trip to Sydney. Can't wait! "

Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport
Sydney Airport,Sydney - View on map
"The Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport is a lovely hotel that offers everything you need for a short or long term stay. I stayed overnight before flying overseas. The hotel offers a 24hr room service which was fantastic for my late check in. The food was great at a reasonable price and they also offer a shuttle bus service to both the Domestic and International Airport at a reasonable price of $8.00 aud. This took the stress from hailing down a taxi in the early hours of the morning. I was informed by the taxi driver who had dropped me off at the hotel that booking a taxi for a morning pickup would be useless as taxi's will refuse to take the job because of the short distance between the hotel and both airports. Hence, why the shuttle bus is such an asset for the hotel. I recommend the Sydney Travelodge Airport Hotel and will be staying here again in the future."

Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport Hotel & Conference Centre
Sydney Airport,Sydney - View on map
"The room was very big and so was the bed, very comfortable. The bathroom was so big you could have a party in it, so we did. There was a phone by the toilet so you didn't miss a call. Talk about a conference call. The exercise room was well equipped with a very nice swimming pool and deck to lounge on. Be sure to call ahead for an airport pick up, just $6 bucks a head and can be added to your room bill so no need of cash when you land. Some cash might be handy though to tip your porter when getting to your room. Canadians tip you know. The taxi ride was $20 for the two of us so the hotel transport is cheaper. No hotel in Sydney has free pick up that I found. When there, have the seafood buffet in the dinning room, it was fresh, a great value and the deserts could be made into its own meal. Yummy. That's why the gym upstairs is so well equip, you'll need it. Grate value, will stay again the next time through Sydney after a long flight or waiting for our next day early flight home. Minutes from the airport. "

Ultimate Apartments Bondi Beach
Bondi,Sydney - View on map
"It was our last night for the week in Sydney. Reached the apartment but the office was closed. However, our keys were left in a storage and we managed to check in. Very quiet environment, with parking lot. Just a few minutes walk to the Bondi Beach. Plenty of shops along the way. Grabbed pizzas for the night. There were shops with easy access to beers. AWESOME. Room is very clean, nice pantry and a small like living room with sofa. Check out was easy, staff is very attentive and friendly. SUPERB NO ISSUES, WILL DEFINITELY COME HERE AGAIN IF I'M COMING TO SYDNEY! A place to avoid the hustle and bustle after days in city area!"

Travelodge Hotel Sydney
Sydney CBD,Sydney - View on map
"Travelodge Sydney Hotel is perfect for first time visitors to Sydney, returning visitors and the like. It's easily accessible location ( from the airport) and closeness to everything makes it the perfect hotel. Trains were only a few minutes walk away (Museum Station), buses, monorail and light rail were also within short walking distance. Rooms were adequately sized and well equipped, they also included Foxtel channels. The hotel is very close to Chinatown, World Square and Paddy's Markets/Market City so it makes it very easy to find something to eat or a place to shop. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Travelodge Sydney Hotel and I will definitely stay there again if I returned to Sydney!"

Hilton Sydney

"Stayed overnight only, however was greeted with friendly smiles. I have stayed at most of the deluxe 5 star hotels in Sydney and this would have to rank in the top 5 along with the four seasons, Shangri-la, Intercontinental and the Westin. Modern clean and friendly without being pretentious. The only downer was our bathroom tv not working properly it could have been a flat battery on the remote but we were only there for one night. Breakfast was good without being great offering all the commodities of a full breakfast in sydney."

Oaks Sydney Castlereagh Suites
Sydney CBD,Sydney - View on map
"Hotel is 400 m to Central station, Lite Rail and Museum station, 15/20 min walk to Circular key. Coles and W/worths nearby if you want your own food (the latter near Central station, Coles near China Town which also is about 500 m. Spa and pool open all year and spa is heated. Staff very accommodating - actually went out of their way to help. Accommodation was good (we were on 27th floor) with good views - ours looked towards Central station. Changed towels daily. Quiet room. If you are a senior, go immediately to Central station and obtain the concessional Opal card - on producing interstate seniors card. This allows you UNLIMITED travel (train, bus and ferry) for $2.50 per day (each card holder). We trav all day on ferry, buses and train to Newcastle and Blue Mountains. Recommend train to Bondi jtn t 380 bus to beach then 380 bus to Watsons Bay where you catch ferry or 324 Kings Cross. Stayed in around 6 Sydney hotels at different this is the only one would go back to again."

Annam Serviced Apartments
Potts Point,Sydney - View on map
"The apartment location is quite strategic. Supermarket Coles just near by to the apartment and you can drop by once you get off from King's Cross station. Our room was clean and comfortable, the kitchenette was well stocked for 2 adults. There was a great selection of coffee shops, pubs, bars, restaurants in the area, King's Cross Station is a 5 minute walk and multiple bus routes were a 3 minute walk. As we known, the King's Cross is the red zone since there a lot of pub, and bar, this apartment not suitable for weekend night for those travel with family. by for mine opinion, this apartment reserve 5 star apartment due cleanliness, good staff and everything. We wish we will come again to Sydney and will stay in this apartment again!"

The Grace Hotel
Sydney CBD,Sydney - View on map
"I recently returned to stay at one of my favourite Sydney hotels. The Grace is just that, gracious, welcoming and comfortable with a touch of class. For Art Deco devotees its a must. I requested a room with a bath and enjoyed a luxurious soak in the large well appointed bathroom. With heavy rain keeping me indoors I ordered room service and was pleased with the quality of the food and reasonable prices."

More about Sydney

As the capital of New South Wales, Sydney is the largest and most cosmopolitan city of Australia. Several large metropolitan areas and a wide network of trains and buses cater to the city. Sydney Airport is the gateway for the majority of visitors, and Green Square station can be used to access the city.

The city of Sydney is host to many famous landmarks, none more so than the iconic Sydney Opera House. The opera house as well as the Sydney Harbour Bridge are both situated on Circular Quay, a hub of activity and the location of the city’s ferry terminal. Beaches are also a popular draw, including the likes of Bondi Beach. Bondi’s Campbell Parade is a busy area both day and night, and shops, cafes, and bars line the beachfront.

Shopping areas of the city are readily available. Exclusive boutiques can be spotted on Oxford Street in Paddington, and Pitt Street is home to the luxury brands and department stores. Sydney is also very pedestrian friendly. The city’s friendly weather and wide footpaths encourage exploration of the city, and with all it has to offer, visitors find it hard to decline.
