Best hotels & accommodations in Taipei

Hotel is 2 minutes walk from subway station and it is located above the wanhua station (train). It is new and everything in good condition. bed really comfortable. The staffs are helpful, polite and funny. The toilet is quite small. My knees almost touched the door when i sit down. I think we got more than what we paid, considering this is a new 4 stars hotel in Taipe...

This being my 9th trip to Taiwan, I have stayed at a number of hotels from 5 star to 3 star. I would rank this as one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Taipei. I had orgininally booked for 3 days but ended up staying a total of 6 days. The location in excellent with the Ximen MRT station exit 5 just outside the hotel. The rooms are very modern and the bed is very...

Hotel's location is probably one of the best in Taipei being situated above Taipei Main Station MRT and having its own dedicated exit (M6). Hotel is at the more expensive end of the range of Taipei hotels but I felt I achieved decent value for money all considering. Room for a couple was perfectly adequate, though did not appear as large as some photos I had seen in ad...

As the title says, everything here is good. At least for tourists. It is about 5-8mins by foot from Ximending and Beimen stations. If you are a late-night kind of person, you will like it here - right down the street you could easily find convenience stores as well as 24hrs MOS Burger! If you are into local street food, there are also 24hrs hawkers to fulfil your midni...

I have to say I am in love with the big windows it has in all the rooms. As you may notice, a lot of the Taipei hotels do not have windows in their room yet this one you can enjoy a great view of the busy Taipei. Besides, they have an iPad that allows you to control everything in the room with an app. Though you don't see the usual smart/butt-washing toilet but you ge...

we stayed at united hotel taipei early may 2012. it is a good clean hotel with very good service. airport bus, fay gou, flying dog, stops in front of this hotel, not an official stop, but will stop here by request. we did not know it, paid nt$1250=us$43 for taxi ride from airport, bus would've been much more roomy, comfortable, good view and far cheaper. taxi to a...

I have stayed at the Sherwood many times and it never disappoints. This is one of the older 5 star hotels in Taipei but still offers great value for money and the location is very convenient, the Zhongshan junior high school mrt station is at a walking distance and there are lot of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff and service is excellent, very friendly and helpf...

I think that was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed, on the price I paid. Staff were very friendly, including the bellboy, the front desk staff and the housekeeping staff. Only the restaurant staff may need to have more smiles on their faces, but they were quick in clearing used plates and cups etc though. Room was very well equipped and the beds were very comfo...

Very good location, just 5 mins to Ximen MRT through covered underpass, good for rainy weather. Ximen station is just one stop from Taipei main station, a transport hub in Taipei. Hotel lobby is linked to a 7eleven store on the ground floor - very convenient if need some toiletries, drinks or snacks at night. Cross the road, there's Ximending and eateries like MOS, ple...

i truely enjoyed staying at palais de chine! i have stayed 5 star hotels in taipei, however palais de chine was way better! great location makes it easier to access to any places in taipei. staffs were very friendly and helpful. they recognized the staying guests and try to assist you as much as possible. hotel decor was great as well. usually hotels are very bright, bu...

Hotel is wonderful, much better than any other 5 star hotels in Taipei. Staff is amazing (esp lady Rudy&Ruby). We got complimentary early check in at 12pm, and even never requested for it, room on the high floor with very good view, super comfortable bed - even after check out we purchased their bed clothing at very reasonable price. Our trip was more than one week ago...

this is a very new hotel in taipei which i happened to find it for my 4 days work visit to taipei last week. first, it is in a very good location of the city. sogo, breeze, da-an mrt station and many other restaurants just within walking distance. the staff is quite good in english and thus very helpful to us. the restaurant on the ground floor is exceptionally interna...

Visited in Oct 2019. Hotel has the bare minimum (no pool, no gym) I need for my trip which mostly revolves travelling out to other areas in Taipei. + Toilet has a bidet + Both a shower and tub is present + TV channels were from a TV box and were more than adequate. + Hotel and rooms have a modern design + Attentive staff who replaced the shower and soap when we're ...

The hotel locates in the walking distance area (z10 exit) from Taipei Main Station that is very convenient to access to many places around Taipei and near city. The staffs are very friendly. The best example of us was we would like to extend our stay on Sunday night because our flight time would be at 6 am on Monday morning, but this hotel was fully reserved. The staff...

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel provided unlimited drinks at their entrance, restaurant and gym/ laundry area at the top floor. These 3 areas are open 24 hours and we could have our drinks at any time. The hotel also provided free usage of their washing machines and dryers. The hotel is located within walking distance to the Taipei Main Station (about 6...

I have to say that, this, by far one of the most affordable and most convenient hotel in Taipei. It is walking distance from train stations, hawkers area are all nearby and their lobby is very homey. All their staffs are very accommodating. Even though we don’t know how to speak in Chinese, they try their best to explain or answer our questions. KUDOS to this hotel and...

This is a budget hotel located in Ximen area. The hotel lobby is situated at the first level. Breakfast is included, and is served at the lobby area. To get to the rooms level, you have to tap your room card on a censor in the lift to reach the floor. This give added feeling of security. The room is big, in fact it is the biggest out of the three hotel that I stayed. H...

We were a party of five (family) wanting to experience celebrating new year in another country. We chose taipei and booked our holiday with Diary of Ximen. Stayed a total of 6 days & 5 nights in their family room. Since we were arriving at an irregular time and our flight back was just as irregular, we also arranged for airport pick-up service. Because of its location ...

It's a wonderful hotel in Taiwan. Price, place location and room are excellent at Taipei. Hotel is located at Xiamen, which is a hot shopping area and hotel room is in the lower price around Taipei. We walk 1 minutes from mrt station to hotel. All item of living assessories are provided by the hotel even at small room and lower price.

I love my stay at The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel. It's a brand new hotel with excellent customer service. We stayed in an Okura Double Room. Great value for money with the room luxuriously confortable and equipped. Located very centrally and very near to the Zhongshan MRT Station, it makes travelling around all the tourist attractions within Taipei City an ease. The ...

A very good hotel, but feels a little too cold in my opinion due to its 'Ikea-like' deco style. Everything from check-in to the room has nothing to fault. Bed is comfortable, faucets works well (no bath tub), for a modern 4-star hotel in Taipei, the lack of electric toilet seat is surprising. Breakfast bar is above average compare to other Taipei hotel, while there ...

We traveled as a family with 2 young adults children. Booked 2 different size room , the standard double bed room is kinda small . My kids' room was bigger and more spacious so you need to look at the size of the room when you booked if space is priority to you. But for us if was ok as we used the room to rest and sleep only. The rooms and bathroom are very clean but...

Location is 10/10. Right smack in the middle of Ximending. The moment you go down, you can start eating and shopping. Like most hotels in taipei, they do not serve breakfast, but what they do have is a 24/7 mini bar available for all guests. The mini bar is rather extensive and they also have tea leave eggs in the morning and cup noodles at night. Room is rather spac...

Though 5 star hotel, it is reasonable price, but staff are worthy of 5 stars, very courteous and kind. Rooms are clean, relaxing with high ceiling, dignified corridor. Breakfast was delicious while we could enjoy beautiful Asian garden. Especially I like breads and pan cakes in this hotel. This time, we experienced flight cancel due to typhoon and had been in troubled...

Just came back from Taiwan and i have to say the hotel is one of the best we has stayed so far. Its super child friendly (play room is right next door) and spacious... there are lots of entertainment games at the ground floor with free flow of cup noodle... Location is good too.. right opp Ximending.. lots of foods ard .. will book this again if going taipei.. stron...

By far this is the BEST Hotel I have ever stayed in Taipei ! Perhaps even one of the best I have ever stayed in all my travel, period. Excellent room conditions and a great concept & designed lobby. The most impressive thing about this hotel is their staff friendliness and service. From front desk to concierge to restaurant to the lobby café, they were all Excellent an...

Deluxe King Bed Review We are a family of three, staying for 4 nights in May. In summary, it has been one of the best stays we ever had anywhere. Location: it is located in between two subway stops: Songjiang Nanjing and Nanjing Fuxing. Nanjing Fuxing is a transfer station so it is very convenient. I heard from other reviews saying that it is quite a walk, but for us...

The Cosmos probably has the best location of any hotel in Taipei, adjacent to Taipei Main Station. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, with check-in and check-out very quick and painless. The triple family room was super clean, with the best beds ever. The room was made up promptly each morning. The room recommendation I would make is to have electrical outlets ...
Cheapest hotels in Taipei

Disadvantage: Not 24hrs Check-in I wasn't able to check-in during the midnight. there was no staff at all because they don't have 24hrs check-in but allowing guests to book even though they will arrive late. Kept on pressing the doorbell but no one was there. Luckily, there were two ladies to help me to get in but no one is there to give me my key card and room so I s...

Travelled around Taiwan for three weeks and LivePal is undoubtedly the best value for money hostel. Good location - MRT/TRA, Wufenpu clothes market, Raohe night market and eateries. Shampoo, bodywash and handsoap is provided in bathing areas. Free hot/cold water, tea/coffee available in A/C kitchen/common area. Rooms are of mixed variety - bunks, capsules, not all ro...

This hostel is very cheap for Taiwan, especially given how modern it is and how close it is to Ximen. The staff were nice and the place was clean. We stayed in a dorm room which had nice big lockers, good curtains on the beds and individual plug sockets. The downsides were that the rooms were very cramped, with little space to manoeuvre and the showers are downstairs...

Pros: 1. Staff Loved it! Every member of the staff deserves a shout out: Katie, Tiffany, Weber, Ryan and all the Chinese speaking staff! They literally felt like family and I relied them on so much. I booked with Agoda, loved the place and booked with them directly for the rest of my stay. They accommodated me in every way possible: late night dart game, FREE extra to...

Had a fairly decent stay here, the staff were big on cleanliness and did their best to help. For some English wasn't a strength but they were still very kind. Good place to meet other travellers particularly from Asia. Only had a couple of minor complaints: because I had booked each of my nights separately one of the staff accidentally cleared the stuff from my bed whe...

I arrived in Taipei at 10pm, I actually requested for an airport transfer but no one from the hotel picked me up at the airport. They also did not inform me that they will not be able to pick me up so I waited for a couple of minutes until I decided to take a bus instead. From Ximen station, you can walk to the hotel, but I got lost because there were no visible signs....

I never expected a little bit of luxury experience with Angels Hostel Taipei Ximen! I was super happy I booked and stayed with them. Though it was a shared bedroom with other travelers, I felt my belongings are very secured with their individual card type access! I will definitely recommend this place to my friends if they are looking for the best and affordable accomm...

The place is walking distance to Zhongshan Station MRT. You can also walk Taipei main station for the airport train express. The hostel offers included breakfast of ham and egg sandwich with seasonal fruits and a hot orccold drink. The reception is also cozy where you can dine or chat with friends, watch tv while surfing the web. As per the toilet and shower, it’s shar...

We originally chose this hostel as a cheap option to stay near some friends, after they left we planned to move to an Airbnb. We were to impressed that we canceled the other arrangements and stayed at Backpackets an extra 4 days. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hostel is well equipped, quiet and spotless . The location is a five minute walk to The Mrt...

Me and my brother stayed in this hostel in the first week of February 2018. First off, the location's close but not quite near Taipei Main Station MRT. You have to first go to Taipei City Underground Mall, which connects from the staion and find Z10 exit (Z區) and from there walk south for about 250m and cross the road on the other side where you'll see a signage of P...

The staff was so nice and helpful! They give you very good advise and are always there for you. I had a very nice chilled time there and really slept like a baby. It is small and personal there. Also it’s so close to the station and all the shops. I would definitely go there again 😊

It is highly recommendable especially for first timers in trying dormitories. The place is really modern and cozy. The place is well maintained and very clean. The staff are very friendly and can speak English. The area is near the MRT and Ximen which is a place for good shopping and just entertainment during day but mostly at night. Most of all, very budget friendly! ...

At first, I thought this hostel was overrated because of the relatively few but very high ratings on its review. I was wrong, and they do deserve a 10/10 review after my 3 nights of stay in Taipei Taipei. As a solo traveler, I look for the hotels with the most strategic location. This hostel is both 5-10 minute walk from Ximen Station (where Ximending night market is ...

What I love about this hostel is their friendly and accommodating staff and their comfortable bed and blanket. They have free tea offered to guests. They offer a locker huge enough for a luggage, and they also have a smaller locker near the bed. It is near the Taipei Main Station and Bus Station. I will definitely book this place when I visit Taipei again!

We booked the triple bed room as there were three of us. The room wasn't the biggest but it looked like the picture and was comfortable. Toiletries were provided as well. Was pleasantly surprised by the female toilet as it was very clean and dry (a reason may be because during our stay there were only 2 other females apart from the 3 females in my room). A five minute...

Great location, and cheap. Probably the cheapest that you can find in the neighbourhood. Tips from my experience are that if you're booking a double room when you book it request for the room in 3rd floor. Better room, and will totally change your experience of staying. Trust me. There is a catch though, it is a no-staff hotel (but the staff on the phone are very he...

I will never ever forget how nice and kind Claire was. She accompanied us and assisted when our ATM got captured on the machine. Also, I appreciate Yoyo's effort in having our reservation booked in Starbucks Taipei 101. For us, this hostel is by far the best when it comes to customer service, location (which is just less than a minute away from exit M8 of Taipei Main S...

Right smack in the center of Ximending shopping and eating area, the best location so far since I started booking with Agoda more than five years ago. In front of the hostel are food stalls and souvenir shops , besides it are some mango shaved ice stores, convenience stores and a lot lot more. Dormitories communal bathrooms are clean. The best feature is the lounge are...

The place is not difficult to find. Nice and friendly staff. The room is clean and comfortable. I booked 2 triple rooms and the space is just right. Fast wifi connection. Accessible to almost everything and Taipei Main Station is 15 minutes walk. 7/11 convenient store is just beside . The only thing that needs to be improved is to have a variety in the free breakfast....

My boyfriend and I stayed here from 27 Dec 2015-2 Jan 2016. It only cost us ~450 Singapore dollars, the location is great. The staffs are all young people and very friendly. It is very closed to the central subway station and the nearest MRT station is really only 2-3 mins walk from hotel. A lot of great dinning stores are around there. 台南碗粿(a small bowl of some flour...

I've stayed at 2 hotels in Taipei before this and I must say that this one is the cleanest. The only issue is that it's small and you don't have your own bathroom. Duh, it's a capsule. But the capsule itself is clean. Everything you need is in there. You have a locker and you can fit in bags inside the capsule and still have enough leg room. AC is nice and cold. The be...

just 3 blocks away from exit4 of Ximen MRT, the place's very accessible to everything in Taipei. Hole-in-the-wall eateries are just a few steps away. Facilities were very commendable, well, except for the busted night lamp we had in the room. WiFi is operational. The girls manning the reception area were very helpful! just had 3 concerns though: 1. CheckIn time start...

The hostel is located some distance from the metro station / taipei main station. However, you can walk to the hostel within 10 minutes. Make sure you exit thru eslite book store to get to the nearest street to the hostel. There is a convenient store right below the property. There is also a lot of eateries nearby. You can basically have your food any time in the day ...

i think this is a good choice for solo traveler like me. facilities are fine. nice common area, laundry, wifi, kitchen area, friendly owner and hostel mates, and things were so clean there. :) i was doing a 5-day solo trip in taipei. not expecting much, just taking it as a retreat from my hectic hong kong city life. this hostel is ridiculously clean. after staying t...

I stayed at the Here There Hostel on Saturday, 2 May, 2015. I was looking for a good cheap hostel, centrally located for one night stay before I did the Taipei 101 Run Up. I found exactly what I was looking for with this property. I had a hassle free booking through Agoda, where I got an excellent rate. I was booked into a 16 bed dorm, but was allocated a bed in a 6 be...

This hostel is highly recommended if you want to stay in Ximending area. Walking distance to shops, Ximen MRT station, and very near to Taipei Main Station and West bus station (express bus going to Keelung, Taoyuan Airport). The place is very clean, and got cute decorations :) The pantry, common shower area and toilet are well maintained. The hostel is a good place to...

It was a pleasant no-frills stay. The room seemed way too small at first, but we soon got used to it, as it was comfortable. There was a small toilet in our room with a hot shower. We had a queen-sized bed which was raised up. Below the bed, there was a couch area with a mini TV. There was also a fridge and hair dryer. The Internet station outside our room allowed me t...

One of the best locations in Taipei right next to Ximending and a few feet from MRT exit. So much food and shopping close by and easy to get anywhere in Taipei with MRT. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. There are even forms at the front desk where you can order stuff from famous shops and bakeries all across Taiwan and get them delivered to the hote...

We booked this hotel based on positive reviews on Tripadviser and were not disappointed. The hotel is very new, tastefully-decorated and is 2-minutes’ walk from subway station. The room is bright and modern, with nice bed and linens. Although the room is a bit small after opening two suitcases, we find it very comfortable. Bathroom is functional and shower has good...

Stayed in Taiwan for 7nights. Stayed 2 nights in S hotel. Best choice made. Service was impeccable.. The service staffs came running to our transport immediately with 2 umbrellas. 1 of them held the umbrella for us while the other was unloading our luggage. Our luggage was mad heavy from our shopping. Didn't pant nor complain. Service staff were mostly young and good l...

The hotel has one of the best hot springs that i have went. there is also a huge no. of choices of hot springs available. Service staff is friendly, and the restaurant serve nice food, but a little expensive. The hotel is not very accessible from taipei city, with only one connecting bus from taipei. Taking a taxi, which cost around is recommended if you have b...

We had to check in late due to our flight. I am really amazed that everything was ready from that time that we arrived. I just had to sign a printed document with my details and presented our passport. Our room was cleaned and our toiletries and towels were replenished for our 2nd day. Will be staying there again if I go back to Taiwan. 😀

I had a wonderful trip in Taipei this time. I went there quite often,so I tried a few hotels in Taipei. This is definitely the best one. No matter how late I check in or out still very efficiency with warm and friendly attidude. Good location, taxi to everywhere within TWD 200...easy to get taxi on the street in front of the hotel.

Its a surprise to us honestly. Very happy with our choice! It’s situated in a good neighbourhood where the famous restaurants are just within minutes on foot. Also close to 東區 shopping district. There is supermarket and wet market just downstairs of the hotel. It may not have international 5 star lobby and restaurants, however, one won’t spend much time in the hotel in...

Taipei hotels are expensive to begin with, so this is not an exception. Location is great, less than 100 metres away from Da-an MRT. Surrounded by eating places. Rooms are modern and very clean. Small but for a solo traveller or couple, can seem cozy. This hotel is geared primarily to the business traveller, but thankfully, not as formal and intimidating. The best thi...

Location - great. In between two MRT stations, and bus station, walling distance to Taipei 101 and Exhibition center. Staff - friendly and accommodating. Breakfast spread - good variety. Room - The first room they had booked us stank of cigarette smoke. We had booked a non smoking room, but the first room stank of cigarette smoke. That was on 17th floor. The carpet ...

This is the second time I stayed in Songshan Amba. The hotel is located right opposite to Songshan station, just one stop next to Taipei train station. The area is quieter than Taipei station but still have a night market within waliking distance and is a good choice for traveling to the small towns around Taipei, e.g. 九份,十份,宜蘭。 The hotel looks popular with foreign to...

Well-designed hotel. The art installations found around the hotel were nice especially the one by Yu Fen-Wu. To be honest, every spot in the hotel is instagram worthy. As for the rooms, there were not big but thoughtfully designed. There is also a laundry room available but was not able to avail it. Maybe next time I visit. For the location, the hotel is located i...

The hotel seems fresh and really well maintained. I felt that I got more than my money's worth. The room was really spacious for a hotel in Taipei, the bed was very big and comfortable and the room was well-furnished. There was a bathtub and a TV in the washroom as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend others to stay at t...

This was my family’s first trip to Taiwan and we stayed at the hotel for one week. As we have two kids, we selected the family room which had two very comfortable beds and nice pillows. At least for our room they were able to watch TV while taking a bath. I was extremely impressed with the hospitality, service and friendliness of the hotel staff. Check in and out...

It is along the long busy Nanjing East Road which is undergoing major roadworks to construct a subway line. From the outside it doesn't seem any different from many hotels in Taipei. It has a small simple lobby. The receptionists are friendly, efficient and spoke English. The room was the pleasant surprise - it was very modern and looks like it had been recently renova...

The staff was amazing, and the decor of the hotel was well done. However, the hotel is a bit far from the MRT. There's a bus stop near the entrance, but it's a bit of a long ride to downtown Taipei. It near 2 7-11's and a Carrefour so late night food is not an issue. The hotel breakfast is nothing special, but filling. (Your standard breakfast congee, toppings, toast...

Thank you for making my stay a memorable one. I appreciate the staffs' effort for arranging a preferred room and delighting me with the warm decoration. I enjoy the luxurious bidet/washlet where the seat is always warm - most Taipei hotel have bidets but they are not as high tech as this one. Modern features such as a panel which controls the room lighting. I am especi...

Luxurious stay with the perfect view from our room. The bed was comfortable and the ambience of the room is superb. There was also ample space in the room for two huge luggages. Furthermore, staff were very friendly and professional. Suz has brought up the standards of hotel in Taipei and I cannot wait to stay here again. Highly recommended.

My first time in Taiwan in a long long while, and my friend who sponsored the trip booked the hotel. Knowing him to be frugal, I thought he had booked us into a pension house, so I was grumbling all the way to Taipei. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a grand hotel, after all. The room was fantastic: great bed and beddings, hi-tech amenities (power curtain, power suns...

Highly appreciation to Mr.Ren (front desk),for his professional suggestions of my staying arrangement enquiries. As well as his friendly attitude. Upon Arrival, I was quite surprised to receive a Birthday card and a cake! Therefore, I had a very nice Birthday celebration Holiday for 3 nights in Caesar Park Banqiao. Consider the reasonable price, facilities such as swi...

Easily one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in in Taiwan (and possibly worldwide). My family loved the comfort and the perfect view of the Pacific Ocean you can get from your balcony. The hotel is very well-maintained despite being right next to the ocean. The beach is literally at your doorstep and it makes for the perfect getaway from city life. The staff were really...

This is a busy hotel in Taipei. Upon arrival, we discovered Carre Four, Starbucks, McDonald were nearby. Carre Four is open 24x7! A hospital and traditional market were also within walking distance. We chose this hotel because we had to take High-Speed Rail down to central Taiwan. After several hotel nights in Taiwan and Japan, kids unanimously voted Taipei Garden...

Service was excellent. The staff are incredible and it just feels like a very traditional Japanese onsen hotel or maybe even better - a hotel where you could feel like in Japan in the hotel while traveling around Taipei. All details are taken care of and it is definitely worth the price tag. The only disadvantage may only be the need to travel 30 mins to reach Taipei d...

The Landis Taipei Hotel is a beautiful 5 stars hotel for business travel. Although a bit small, but the services and facilities are great for any purposes. It is located a little off centre from the business part of Taipei, but it has good local restaurants all around. It is also within 5 minutes walk to the nearest MRT station making leisure travel very convenient....

fairly good sized rooms, great location - 1 block from sogo (5 minute walk) like the larger hotel feel, more services/amenities requested early checkin and room was available upon very early arrival - big plus/bonus! service was efficient and friendly all around wifi in the rooms is a bit spotty/slow - as with many hotels in taipei bathrooms are dated, b...

I had an excellent overnight stay at Grand View Resort Beitou during Feb 2017. Pros: - Location: the hotel is located near all the other hot spring resorts in the Beitou area, less than an hour drive from downtown Taipei. - Hotel Facilities/Rooms - the hotel facilities were of top quality - the room (including the bathroom) was clean, spacious and very well kept. The...

This hotel has a fantastic roof top swimming pool on 41floor. you can watch taipei 101 building at top side and enjoy great time with your family or friends. Employees of this hotel are very good English speaker and you can communicate with them. This hotel is located in main area of Taipei city. so you can reach easily many attractive places. If you are lucky, you are...

Stayed 3 nights for meetings right next-door building so it was very convenient floor. I didn't realize it is a Nikko chain until I saw the sign at the entrance. So you can think of small but cosy room with all kind of high-tech equipments that help you relaxing you a lot (e.g. heated toilet lol). The room by far is much larger than a similar standard room in Japan whi...

This is a 5-star hotel, so one has an expectation for 5-star quality and services. While the hotel and location are excellent, there were some minor things which should not happen at property of this level. The list includes: - No slippers in the room. Even basic hotels in Taiwan provide slippers. - No soap in the bathroom. We had to request it. - No list of TV ch...

This has been our preferred hotel in Taipei since our first experience with them in Feb 2018. As such we hv also recommended to our friends in Spore. Their feedback was very positive. We were very happy to see familiar faces like Jack Nam -manager guest services division. As well as another lady at front desk. And Shaun -F&B on weekends only. Excellent service! Best...

The check-in was handled quickly and smoothly. The staff was very attentive, including the dining service staff. Location: The hotel is not within walking distance to the MRT station but there is an hourly shuttle that takes you back and forth from the station. Taxi is easy and inexpensive: $70 NTD or $90 NTD during night time (less than $3 USD). Cabbing to center...

Very comfortable and quiet poolside room. I would go back to Ambassador Taipei Hotel again. Definitely a must recommendation place to my friends, because it is near the train station and the bus stop for Taoyuan International Airport is just right in front of the hotel. And great tasting restaurants are every where.

Hotel is situated not too far from Taipei city yet affordable when compared to city hotel prices. Hotel external looks grand and more importantly, the rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and modern Food is convenient with shops and eateries just surrounding the hotel. Hotel staff are always smiling and very polite and goes the extra mile when approached by a...

We did not aware this hotel is far from the Wulai old street and we walked in a wrong direction and took us a long time to reach the hotel. You should get off the bus on 2 stops before the terminal and you can find the hotel on your right just behind you. We booked the room with the breakfast and dinner. We are surprised the dinner was so good which has 10 courses and ...

The hotel is one my favorite hotels in this part of Taipei. It is relatively new, and is very clean. They have a nice sauna and hot tub that is open for guests from 7:00 to 22:00 which was a treat. The breakfast was good and has a wide selection of traditional Taiwanese breakfast and as well as some continental Western options. I especially loved the hot soy milk whi...

We stayed at fullon hotel in Taipei for 5 nights. We like the location there. It's about 10 mins walk to the MRT station, and 1 MRT station away to the famous 永康街,where you can find a lot of food choices. The hotel is clean and room facilities are new. We booked two rooms and the staff gave us 2 rooms at an exclusive corner with a lot of privacy. My two kids loved run...

the imperial is about ten or fifteen minutes walk from the nearest mrt station; it's not hard to find a taxi in taipei, but that might be an issue if you need to be somewhere early in the morning and don't want to deal with traffic. the hotel's not brand new, but that's not a bad thing; there's a gorgeous stained glass ceiling to the inner atrium, and overall the p...

have been stay in couples taipei hotels(from both large hotel brand and boutique ones), this one can definitely be rated to top three among my experience. the room is very well designed and new. the amenities are just beyond your expectation. rooms are not extremely big but definitely you wont feel squeezed inside. the hotel is located in one of best residential area i...
Traveler impressions of Taipei
If you haven't visited much in Asia then Taipei is your choice. Taipei is like a mix of Japan (Osaka for specific) and Singapore and Thailand.
Many attractions, shopping & dining. Usual 4-5 days is good enough to cover Taipei alone, but definitely requires 7-10 days to cover the other cities like Taichung/ Kaoshiung.
Travel to Taipei can be by the way of purchasing package. It is important to go to the night market (Shilim)at week day to have a walk, there will be many people at weekend.
People are friendly if you approach them and ask for a direction altough English language is an issue very often, but they still want to help you.
My first trip to Taipei and I'm looking forward for another. Thanks to the cab driver. I took 7 months to prepare this trip and it never fail me.
I visited Taipei for the first time during the Chinese new year and peak season. There are many interesting places to visit.
I do really love this place that appreciating different arts, such as art pieces, music, local culture.
Friendly city and no worries of night out if you was alone. most of the goods are in fixed rate, therefore hassle free , not like china .
Get a "relax travel card" at any MRT station which allow your to enjoy 20% on all your trip with MRT & Bus fare
I love Taipei and would love to come back to Taipei with my mommy or husband one day. People are very friendly and weather is nice.
We stayed in Taipei for 10 days and enjoyed every single day. Visited almost all places of interest and eaten almost everything on the street and restaurant.
Shopping area, good weather on month Dec and Jan. People is friendly. A lot of good taste street food.
One of my favorite place. Residents is friendly and helpful. Public transport give convenient to tourist.
Plenty to eat, plenty to shop and plenty to explore. I spent about 4 nights in the city and it is not enough.
I've been to Taipei twice and stayed at a few different areas, which were all very different from each other.
if you wish to do currency exchange, do either in your country or else change directly at the airport or bank to get a better rate.
We tried the Modern Toilet in Ximending, its kinda weird to eat in toilet bowls, urinal bottles but it was fun and the food was also good
It's a city with super convenient MRT(subway) system, you can just go every where by yourself and safety, oh, cap is every where as well, no worries!
Very convenient and friendly city where it helps you to travel around no matter with MRT or Taxi. You can easily get a taxi just in 5 minutes.
TAIPEI IS A NICE CITY, CLEAN AND VERY COMFORTABLE TO TRAVEL, THE WIFI CONNECTION IS REALLY EASY TO FIND.
the buidlings are old but people are friendly, and very customer focused. places are clean and spotless.
Have good nature view and good maintain the old town to attract traveler , some local foods is quick good and with reasonable price.
wonderful stay. The traffic system had improved over last ten years. The art system reaches most of the attractions.
Taipei is really good and well-known for streets food and shopping. basically I couldn't even try all the foods that i want during my 5 days trip.
Taipei has a combination of culture, nightlife, dining and shopping which is suitable for people of different ages.
Apart from the a bit chaotic road traffic if you are not used to, everything is pretty much ok and good to explore in Taipei.
It is a very tourist friendly place with many sighseeing attractions. Shopping and eating spots are plenty and value for money.
Good Transportation system. 24 Books store. Many Many good food....Should put extra night to get to know the people here instead of rushing for food/places and leave.
Fun city, most, if not all, places are accessible through public transport, which is extremely reliable, making touring the city a breeze.
There's a lot to do in Taipei, and in Taiwan. It is one of my favourite places on earth. You can easily get into Taipei and go to other provinces / states using their metro / bullet train.
Taipei's best hotels with breakfast

Hotel's location is probably one of the best in Taipei being situated above Taipei Main Station MRT and having its own dedicated exit (M6). Hotel is at the more expensive end of the range of Taipei hotels but I felt I achieved decent value for money all considering. Room for a couple was perfectly adequate, though did not appear as large as some photos I had seen in ad...

the hotel was refurbishing and they close some of the equipment like swimming pool. i was awake at almost 8:00 am. the construction was noising and annoying that i couldn't get back to sleep. fortunately, we ask for late check out for staying one more hour and it was quiet. besides that, we love this cozy room with comfy bed. and we really enjoyed the hot bathe can see...

Everything positive you've read about Linsen Fun is true. Due to a prolonged trip, my stay here turned from 3 weeks to nearly two months! But I can say my stay here has been overwhelmingly enjoyable and positive. First, the room I booked was a Business Twin that overlooks a school courtyard. My experience with the sound insulation was very good. Even with neighbor...

we stayed at united hotel taipei early may 2012. it is a good clean hotel with very good service. airport bus, fay gou, flying dog, stops in front of this hotel, not an official stop, but will stop here by request. we did not know it, paid nt$1250=us$43 for taxi ride from airport, bus would've been much more roomy, comfortable, good view and far cheaper. taxi to a...

One of the best decisions I had during my Taipei trip was to book at Just Sleep Sanchong. Perfect stay, I must say! Very modern and stylish ambience! Check out the photos and judge for yourself, you will surely enjoy and appreciate every corner. How much caffeine can you handle for a day? because there’s unlimited coffee and sweets! What I also appreciate at this ...

This must be the best accomodation i have ever stayed in my whole life. It's more than 9000 sq ft in size with spa pool, steam room, sauna, massage chair, mini golf-putting green, karaoke lounge, roof top swimming pool...all these within 1 room! Everything in the room is clean and tidy, and the super-super king size bed is really comfortable. The most unimaginable i...

i loved this hotel. my friend and i were traveling together in taiwan for a week and we started off with this hotel, which set the bar high! the bed and pillows were very comfortable, towels lush and new, and all the complimentary toiletries were better than some of those given at 5 star hotels (such as handmade tea soap, vanity pack with facial cotton & panty liner, b...

Superb quick check-in with only one passport required. All ready for me. I've booked two Classic Rooms which provide a big jacuzzi and a King bed. When elderly open the door, it is a 'Wow !' to them. They mentioned that the rooms are great. Initially, they have a thought of not so good hotel with 3 stars, but they are wrong. 3-stars also provide great environment and s...

Location not bad, 15 to 20 mins taxi ride to shopping area or 8 mins ride of high speed rail to Taipei station. But allraxi Drivers we had been overcharged because hotel at this far location. Bed are all comfort and bath room is big and clean , we may consider again if the price is lower

i recently stayed at fx hotel in taipei with my other half over the new year and it was great. first of all, it was really value for money. i have stayed in other hotels in taipei in the past, which charge around this price, and the size of the rooms were nowhere near fx's. furthermore, as the hotel is newly opened, everything in the room is new and functional. bathroo...

There is a hotel for five days. The first day we arrived at 9 am, but Kisblno the room just three. When we left our flight was at night and we confirmed late check out without a problem. The hotel is located near a train station (three minute walk), the area is very, very quiet and friendly, there are restaurants, bars and clubs abound. Like almost all hotels in Taipei...

It was such a pleasant stay at Just Palace. I booked two rooms for business trip in Taiwan. Because it's a new hotel around this neighborhood, taxi drivers had to use GPS but other than that the staff members were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean, and especially it's located away from the big streets I didn't have to worry about motorbike noise at night...

Green World was an awesome find in Ximending, Taipei. I had previously stayed at 2 other hotels in Ximending but this hotel easily tops the list of my favourite hotels in Taipei. Hotel was spacious, clean and modern with a little quirk to the furnishings (you'll find floating sculptures of hot air balloons throughout the hotel area, and also a man holding a functioning...

An impromptu vacation with my son from 5 to 11 April. I must say that I am really lucky to have find New Riverview Suites. The room is very spacious and the beds are very comfortable too. I would give the room a rating of 5 stars instead of 4. This is lot better than other hotels which we had stayed during December 2017 when we travelled with tour agency. It is only...

If you're looking for a suitable place to stay near MRT zhongshan station, this is the right one. It is located just few seconds' walk away from the station, but taxi drivers mistake this hotel as 'The royal taipei hotel' which is just another few walk away from here. As it's lobby on the 8th floor, it's not that crowded, and the crews are willing to serve you as possi...

The university and expatriate communities found here contribute to a fresh, international atmosphere. Ximending is another of Taipei’s commercial giants, and many of its boutiques, galleries, and art-house cinemas are kept in buildings dating back to the 1930s.
Accommodation in Taipei comes in all categories with budget hostels next to the kind of franchise giants seen around the world.
