"This hotel is located right at the doorstep of Shin-Takaoka Station, which makes it extremely convenient. The bus stop there has a World Heritage Bus which will bring you to Shirakawa-go for sightseeing. The check-in process was hampered by the language barrier between us and the staff. However, they tried their best to communicate with us. The rooms were rather small, but normal by Japanese Standards. The bed was comfortable and provided us with a good night's rest. The room had a wide-screen television but lacked english channels. There was a sign in the lift which mentioned that a simple breakfast was free for all guests staying, which was not mentioned on agoda. The hotel seemed extremely popular as it was fully booked when we checked in. In conclusion, despite the hotel staffs' inablilty to speak english well, this is a great choice if you are looking for a hotel in the area. "
