"This was a good base for us enroute from New Plymouth to Ohakune where we wanted to visit the Army Museum. The manager was very helpful & friendly. The room was comfortable - the only gripe was that any washing up had to be done in the bathroom basin. Room was quite a decent size, clean & comfortable. We enjoyed using the spa."

"We based ourselves at Forgotten World Motel for 5 nights. We received a very friendly welcome from the staff and they were always helpful. When considering the reasonable rate we paid for the room, the motel represents good value for money. The room was comfortable, with all basic facilities supplied for a comfortable stay. We did not notice much noise from road traffic or other guests and we got a good sleep. A good thing about staying in this town is that it makes a great base for day trips to the ridiculously beautiful scenery in the neighbouring regions, such as the Forgotten World Highway, Waitomo and Central Plateau. We hope to return for more adventures!"
