Where to stay in Thekkady
Thekkady hotels & accommodations

Warm and friendly staff, great food at the Patio restaurant, spacious rooms with a great layout, right in the middle of Thekkady ( although, we would have preferred to stay within the Periyar forest reserve). Great value for money overall, had a fantastic stay for 2 nights with a group of 6 people. Definitely worth another visit next year, when Kerala calls again :-)

We took a family trip - 4 adults and 2 children. Forest canopy is close to almost all activities, resort is well managed and clean as well. Hospitality of the staff here is probably Canopy's best highlight - Every team from front desk, restaurant to guest services/concierge were great. Most of our activities were coordinated through the resort and the quality of servic...

Superb is the word to summarize my stay in Thekkady. Hotel location was tucked behind the busy town of Thekkady. Resort is beautiful, a santuary of its own. Wonderful services of the hotel staff is what makes my entire trip unforgettable. The hotel staffs are flexible is catering to the guests needs making each of us feel special. My choice of Thekkady Greenwoods Natur...

We were there for 2 nights. The manager Sabeesh was great. He is very resourceful and hard working. The staff are very friendly (Justin was great) but they still have a lot to learn. I believe, it's a pretty new resort and they have lots of plans to improve and have some pre-defined goals. I did speak the owner who is a really nice gentleman and got a good genuine feel...

Despite the fact that the stay in Thekkady for 2 nights is considered long, but Peppervine hotel is an excellent place to stay. Rooms are by far the best in Kerala and worth every penny, the staff and very helpful, friendly and ready for anything you ask for. Rooms are very clean and looks tidy and comfortable. The WiFi is strong but disconnects occasionally. The loca...

I spent a couple of nights at Niramaya and had a great time at this place. The place might be a bit difficult to find as google does not show the Map correctly. But the property itself is nestled in the Hills of Thekkady. The spa is great and very relaxing. The staff is super friendly and willing to help. You won't regret booking this place.

I must say this is one of the best resorts I have visited. Breathtaking view of the hills and forest, overlooking the borders of Kerala and Tamilnadu! This resort has a English look architecturally that blends perfectly well with nature. An infinity swimming pool with a such a great view is a newly built one. This place is picture perfect, serine and worth the experien...

Resort location is on the slope of a hill. It is surrounded by tall trees, especially spice, beetle trees. Most trees are labeled properly giving information about different kinds of plantation around thekkady. Rooms are awesome with big balcony and washroom. We enjoyed watching many birds in the morning. On the top of all, the food in the restaurant is amazing. I par...

KTDC Aranya Nivas is absolutely wonderful place to be. The staff is courteous, very helpful, food is really good. If anybody likes to live in a jungle and have absolutely no vehicular noise this is the place to be. The staff even booked our boating trip tickets which helped us avoid long queue. Boating too is an excellent experience. Must visit. Real value for mo...

Great host. Friendly, helpful and went out of the way to ensure that our trip and stay at Thekkady was the best. Great breakfast made us feel right in Gods own Country - KERALA. We were even booked off road adventure by 4x4 amongst the Tea and Rubber estates of Thekkady. Our trip was a great experience for all of us.

Excellent location for Nature Lovers. Best part was the early morning Birds waking u up with their chirps. Waterfalls behind in the valley is just awesome. The staff is friendly and food is good. However the cost of the traditional cottage seems to be a bit on the higher side. Overall a good experience.

Unfortunately we had only one night and couldn’t try the food for dinner and same thing for the breakfast, but seem good. For the room is large and comfortable. FYI, Shower, put the hot water but stay close to be ready to reduce it with cold water, and I stopped during soaping to keep as much hot water as I could and I had just enough hot water. But it’s like this ever...

Decided to go to thekkady as I was in Theni (60 kms from here) and I booked online for 2 families. Price was good when compared to the resorts in Thekkady, resort has most of the amenities one will look for, a good kitchen, swimming pool, holiday activities etc. Checkin was smooth, I wanted to upgrade one of our rooms to a suite which they did. Restaurant did not ...

The best shower we had during our month in India. Mr Shibo made excellent restaurant recommendations and booked massages for us. Room was spacious and comfortable with sublime views out over the game reserve. We were walking distance to everything we needed. Be careful of the monkeys. One walked into our room. Definitely don’t feed them. This was a great place to u...

My original booking at Thekkady was rescinded by the property at the last minute and Agoda booked us at this replacement hotel which was the best thing ever! I stayed for 1 night only with my older folks. STAFF! So lovely, welcoming, smiley, helpful and accommodating. A big shout out to the front desk Suhasini and Mobin (sorry I didn't get the names of the others)...

It being off season, we didnt see much of crowd. Apart from us, there were probably only two more families occupying the property. We where there for 3 days. The property is as beautiful as in the pictures shown. We had a package inclusive of breakfast and in house peddle boating and fishing and spice plantation visit. We could not do peddle boating cause of low water...

Nice spacious clean room for good value! A 5 minute walk from Kumily bus stand. We arrived @10:30pm and staff checked us in. Thank you!...this was a stop to go visit the Periyar Tiger Reserve...15 minute walk to the PTR bus shuttle that takes you inside PTR.

More than 5 star! Our stay in Wildernest was nothing short of amazing with their friendly & helpful staffs, clean & comfortable bed. Being a nature lover, i truly enjoyed the beautiful landscape of the hotel & interior design of the room. The value for money is totally worth it. This hotel indeed the best hotel i have ever stayed in Kerala.

We visited in December 2016 with family for a one night stay. The location is a drive of about 3-4 km off the Kumily Theni highway - which is not too far, and in the midst of farms and beautiful green fields all around. The road has a small rough patch, but otherwise very much drivable. There was enough network signal for us to get right up to the farm using google map...

To be frank, it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It was a bit expensive, but they cover it up with their services, cleanliness, location and amenities. We were given the package with the free breakfast. The buffet breakfast was good. I had booked a room, but they upgraded us to the cottage. The room was splendid, a two bed cot with mattress and white cl...

You pay to get in 2 pax 900rs in top of the room rate. No comun public area no activities after 5pm, when you can no longer go outside. The boat trip they are just making money with tousen of people per day, that make so much noise you see no animals apart from monkeys, for what you pay you should get more, very basic infrastructure

I simply loved the night view. During my stay I made a lot of new friends. The other lodgers were great fun and kind too. Knowing people from different countries was altogether a new experience. Furthermore, the dorms were too cozy and very clean and gave a good view from the window. The staff was amazingly great. From the top level to the junior level all were very co...

I stsyed for 4 nights with my sister and we were very comfortable here. We had a great big room with big balcony overlooking the garden, comfy beds and hot water. It was in a great location with shops and restaurants close by but the street itself was quiet. The owner was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Very friendly host, respectful of your privacy too. Can arrange local activities and always willing to drive you somewhere. Is less than 10mins by bike to centre, or owner can auto rickshaw. We stayed at Dean Dale for 2 nights and had a great stay. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the hosts are friendly and lovely to speak with and very accommodating. It is a little out of town, but for the vale of money it isn't a problem Only 20 mins to walk, or 5 by tuk tuk. Would highly recommend!

Very lovely place to stay for a few nights, we extended our stay here because we really loved the town and the staff at Quadiriya palace. We had a very comfortable stay with warm showers and comfortable beds along with an excellent breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

After travelling for two weeks through Kerala, we were really surprised to get to Neema Homes and find out they had hot water! What a luxury :) The host was really kind and the breakfast (we asked for vegetarian) was delicious with good portions. This place was such a good deal for the price! Rooms are simple, but clean. Our group of 4 friends stayed at Chrissies during our holiday to Thekkady. It is a charming boutique hotel with a distinctive personality and genuinely warm hospitality. The property is centrally located yet suprisingly quiet. The room we stayed in had a very cosy feel to it - leafy balconies, warm hued walls, comfortable linen and wooden furniture. Disappointing walk in the forrest and bamboo raft on lake was relaxing as not very interesting with no sights to see, you could easily nod off to sleep!
There isn't much to do in Thekkady. You can visit the Periyar Tiger Reserve but don't count on seeing tigers! There is a boat ride on the lake and you may see some elephants, deer and birds.
