"We enjoyed our stay here to hike the Tongariro Crossing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Be mindful of the check-in hours of this location. The spa was not working when we stayed but the laundry was helpful at $4/load. We booked bus service with National Park Shuttles, but ended up taking Adventure Lodge shuttle since they are partners - just FYI. If staying to do the hike, be sure to stay at least two nights."

"Excellent choice to rest before and/or after the Tongariro Northern Circuit! We did our laundry for free, which was really convenient after the tramp. Really nice staff, everything's clean. You can use the kitchen and park the car in front of the hotel. The beds were so comfortable, we loved them!"

"We booked a private double room with ensuite bathroom. When we came into our room, there were no towels. When we asked about that at the reception, the answer was "We don't put towels in the room. Guests must ask for it.". Strange policy! The kitchen was big enough with everything you need. Unfortunatly, tea and coffee are not provided for free. Wifi is also not free. If you want to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, don't book the shuttle with them. Even if weather doesn't permit the crossing, they will bring you to the crossing. There is a better shuttle service at Whakapapa Village."

"We travelled with our sister in law, 6 month old baby and 3 1/2 year old son so wasn’t sure what to expect. The perfect location for a long weekend of skiing. The weather wasn’t great but we loved our stay and the location was perfect for us. We could drive up the mountain, come back easily when we wanted and it didn’t matter if half our party stayed up they could easily get back down to the skotel cabin. Perfectly clean and cosy with comfy beds and a large fridge/freezer and well equipped kitchen. The shower was super hot and even a little heater in the bathroom for when you got out. The views from the deck were gorgeous of mt ngarahoe and the Tongariro National Park. We got to rug up and sip champagne watching the sunset while our kids slept in the cosy cabin. We will definitely be booking a few weekends here next season!"
