Best hotels & accommodations in Tulum

Great option for self-contained, adults-only luxury. Rooms are large, service is good and restaurants are some of the best hotel restaurants available in self-contained resorts in Mexico. I also like the fact that all facilities are new and super fresh/clean. The styling is also decidedly grown-up and modern. Already planning a return trip!

We stayed at this resort for a wedding. To be honest i didn't really find the hotel or [pool area as beautiful as other hotels on the beach in Tulum. The food was fairly average in the hotel resturants, the buffet breakfast was probably the best though. The drinks were great though! Hotel was clean and well maintained, the rooms were nice but nothing super special. We...

The hotel in general is really nice, and for couples ideal. Food at the beach is amazing, really good. Staff is poor, specially the waiters have little experience and are not very friendly. A lot of improvement in that area. Staff at reception and the coordinators are great. They need a common pool. There is no pool and with the "sargazo" in the ocean it was not alwa...

I loved the stay, the food was great and the staff are so kind; they went out of their way to make us comfortable and helped us with whatever we needed, they were also so attentive. I would come back again. The pool is just as the pictures I loved it, the only con and is not the hotels fault is the seaweed for some reason all over tulum it came out of nowhere!

Friendly staff gave us warm welcome and took us to the building. We really enjoy the rooftop pool, backyard and everything. Clean sheets and fresh towels, quiet location, and appliances very convenient. Especially ice box in the fridge and botteled water. All the staff accommendate us very well, thank you! Its a little stretch to the far end of town, but its no problem...

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Pool and room were great. Hotel itself is ages away from anything unless you drive. Loads of parking for cars. Neighbourhood is a bit of a building site. They have bikes you can use but the handle bars fell off ours and the seat broke mid cycle into downtown. Down town cycle (in 30 degree heat) 30 minutes minimum. To begging ofbeach ...

Traveling with a 1 year old left me feeling very skeptical about where to stay. We did not want to spend all of our money on a room, but still wanted to feel safe of course. After many comparisons we decided on the Luna Maya Hotel. In short, it was AMAZING! Everything we needed... a clean bed to sleep in, a good amount of space for all of our "baby essentials", a pr...

Nice staff, but way too expensive for what you get. Situated in no man's land far away from the beach and restaurants. Bad food and high prices. We were unexpectedly charged 70 us dollars for cleaning for three days. We payed 800 us dollars for three days for two humble rooms but we never used more than one because the other was situated and locked apart from the main ...

Azura is located near the main street of Tulum. It is within walking distance of most of the good restaurants and gift shops. The staff there are super helpful! They emailed us in advance to see if they can help us with anything and they kept offering us advice and suggestion during our stay. Last but not least, the facilities in the hotel are perfect. There is a spa...

The hotel is perfectly located, with good access to public transport and some nice restaurants around (papaya pizza, la coqueta). The pool, the garden, as well as the interior design of the rooms are beautiful! Irma and her team are very helpful and so amiable! Muchas gracias por todo!

I love Casa Ganesh! The property is right in the heart of Tulum, across a boutique, a cafe and some restaurants. They also have parking for guests so that was a big plus. The room we stayed in was quite wonderful as it was beachfront, complete with a jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, a kitchen and a reading/resting nook in the room. The hosts were wonderful and made sure tha...

Stayed with my friend for 4 nights and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The room is very clean and location great as near a taxi rank and about 3km either way to beach, Gran cenote and Tulum ruins. The breakfast was a lovely surprise and offered plenty of choice. Staff are friendly and the place has a nice vibe to it. I would recommend this place and would consider staying...

Good location in center of Tulum main road. Restaurants, shops, bike rental and others just around the corner. Next to Ado buss station so moving around is too easy :) They serve coffee and cookies in mornings and afternoons. Manager is swedish and speaks good english and spanish. She is lovely and helpful person. Miss that place already!

I don't really agree with the term "glamping". Neither is it glamorous nor is it really camping. The "tents" are more like bungalows with walls made of fabric and an outdoor bathroom. The place was really clean and the staff was super friendly. The food smelled amazing but sadly we were on a budget and hat to go for street food. There is no hot water in the shower but...

Great value for the money. Great checking in. Clean dorm rooms with lockers. Building was 3 stories with a roof top area. It was off the main street, so it was nice and quiet. Excellent building. Breakfast was great. Full kitchen to make breakfast. Included was eggs, pancake mix, bread, jam, syrup, coffee, banana orange and apple. Great staff

The hotel is small and simple, but the second is great ! The pool is fabulous, and the free bike rental made our trip... The only thing I would mention is that the bathroom was tiny- and the room smelled a little damp with no AC, Overall we loved it and definitely return ❤

Forget this place if you have just one night in Tulum, choose another one. The staff is nice, but the pool is not clean, the shower has a trickle of water. Not hot Lot of mosquitos in the room because they let the rooms open when they are empty. The cooler works but too much noises so we had to stop it during the night and the heat comes quickly..

We stayed at this hotel after a week in at all inclusive in Cancun. It is a quiet home away from home hotel with very friendly and warm owners with their little daughter and niece. The hotel is completely run by the family, hence it is safe and secure. We got great advice and directions to unique spots to see around Tulum. An easy way to the Ruins and a swim at Akumal ...

Great hostel for budget travelers: big rooms, comfy bed, good shower, good breakfast, bike day rental 75 peso!! While in this hostel, i had to wonder why this hostel is less popular than it should be. I really liked the American owner who try to keep the place neat, efficient and without alcohol and smoking. One thing bothered me was that local employees do not look ha...

When I checked in, I didn't really had the feeling I'm welcome. But my two talks with the receptionists afterwards were friendly and nice. Everything is clean so far but it also appears a little bit sterile. The atmosphere didn't let me feel like people want to socialise. But it is very close to the bus station and you can also book tours in the hostel. They offer a bi...

This place was magnificent. I went with my partner in February and from the moment we checked in to the day we checked out, the staff were incredibly helpful. The managers paid attention to every detail, the pool bar area is luxurious, and the experience was unforgettably comfortable. We felt relaxed and were reminded by staff to do exactly that, and their communicatio...

It was a safe and comfortable place to land in Tulum. It's definitely not a party hostel so getting a good nights rest should be no problem, assuming your roommates are considerate. The owner was super helpful and accomadating. The location was within walking distance of everything.

it's a Party hostel and you get to meet amazing people from all over the globe, great vibe and its right in town. shout out to all the Argentinians Receptionists and Bartenders: they are always pleasant and helpful, extremely friendly and make you feel welcomed right away and Natasha who does an amazing classes and tours in the hostel, she is absolutely incredible!!! The staff are friendly and the rooms are nice. The breakfast is good in the morning. However the price on agoda was quoted in USD dollars and the price charged at the hotel was just their normal rate in Mexican pesos, and I booked on agoda because even the amount quoted in USD at the highest exchange rate was still less than the rate on their own website and the rate I...

We enjoyed a lot our stay at Joy Tulum, and we stayed longer than anticipated there! The hotel is a bit far away from the city (25min walk from the bus terminal), but you'll have access to free bikes :) Our room and the shared bathroom were really clean, perhaps cleaner than in private bathrooms in other hotels. The personnel is really nice (thanks Enrique!). The s...

We had a great stay here. Clean rooms, a nice patio on the roof with hammocks and chairs, a kitchen, and yoga sometimes as well. The bed was nice and comfy and rooms stayed cold- we barely used the AC. Jorge & the staff were great and very helpful . The building was centrally located, just a short walk from the bus station and many restaurants, and very secure. In ord...

L'Hotelito is a very nice hotel runned by very nice owners who make this place into a place with its own character; The rooms are authentic and spacious, clean and bed are good. Location is in the city centre of Tulum, with the ruins, ADO and beach nearby so you can do whatever you would like to do. Included breakfast was good!

Elements is a very charming boutique hotel just a few steps away from the busy main road, the beach is about 4km away. You can lend bikes for free to move around Tulum and the beaches. We had a poolside room which was huge, spotlessly clean and decorated with style. The staff was very helpful from the beginning, explainig and making phonecalls for reservations. The onl...

We were staying in the room with the tile painting on the wall, I forget the name of it. The rooms have names and not numbers. We were awoken by loud footsteps and noise so loud it sounded like it was in our room every morning at 8AM. Every single morning. Bed was hard, the pillows are like throw pillows and not proper pillows for sleeping. I don't understand why it ha...

A really excellent place. Beautifully set out in a lovely garden setting on the edge of the jungle. Lovely, spacious and clean rooms with enclosed verandah and hammocks. Stephanie and Sergio are very welcoming and friendly hosts. I didn't have a car but a it's a lovely 15 minute walk to the main road and then a 20 pesos Colectivo for the short distance to Akumal for b...

I have been to Mexico 2 other times at a different resort. Enjoyed it too. However Catalonia was nicer. Smaller, quieter and better staff. The beach was outstanding! The food was good and the drinks weren't watered down junk alcohol. The price was right as well. We would go back again.

We have never before posted a review on a hotel we stayed in, but decided that this hotel stay was so different/ amazing that we just had to give them some feedback. We were treated like the most special people there by most the staff, the waiters and managers were just fantastic. The hotel itself and the rooms are beautiful and serene. But the best thing was the food....

I had such a magical stay at Tita Tulum!! It will be a vacation I will never forget. The staff is excellent and the hotel is tucked away under all the palm trees making it very private. You truly feel like you are staying on secluded tropical island. I will definitely be coming back for sure! Thank you so much for making my stay wonderful!

Gorgeous garden setting with big rooms looking onto the garden and pool. Lovely room with really pretty drapes around the huge bed. Our room had a nice balcony, fridge, free water, tea and coffee and TV. The bathroom was larger than normal and had a great shower, with nice free toiletries and bathrobes. Location was excellent, just off the Main Street and really near...

I wasn't on a bootcamp but every other guest was which makes you feel a little excluded. Turned up to morning yoga to be told it was only for retreat guests, the nicer breakfast items are sectioned off for retreat guests etc. I had to upgrade to have a nice room with a view of the sea, I was told when I arrived that they only had room for me in their 'chica' hotel down...

The room was very spacious for the two of us. The fridge came in handy. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. They can arrange tours for you if you’d like. A major plus was they have a personal driver that can take you to the main attractions of Tulum. We went to the ruins and the grand cenote. The driver dropped us off and picked us up when we were finished. Very co...
