Turangi hotels & accommodations

This is a very charming property in a quiet setting by the river. There is a laundry with clothesline’s as well as dryer. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. There are gas grills for cooking, too. The wifi is good. There are movies to use in your units DVD player. We did the Tongariro crossing and this was a great base for it.

The rooms are clean, spacious and quite basic but offer good value for money. The restaurant provided excellent food and drink at a reasonable cost. We thoroughly enjoyed the prawn cocktail starter with a delicious lamb shank main course - the best we had in New Zealand. Thank you!!

Not bad at all - fast, check in, easy parking right outside the room, walk-able into Turangi, although not much there. Only one restaurant was open in the whole town, an Italian, but that was actually very good. Hotel itself is like a motel with rooms around a central field area. Rooms were fine and had everything we needed.

We stayed a Settler’s Inn when we spent 3 weeks in New Zealand March 2018. This hotel had a welcoming appearance, flowers, large yard, quiet. They were cabins that were connected to other motel rooms but never heard our neighbors. Our room as large and very clean and bathroom had plenty of room as well. Kitchen, many electrci plugs that were easy to get to. Beds and fu...

Got more then what we expected. Stayed two night for Alpine Crossing, although didn't go for it due to bad weather, but the friendly owner and the stay make it worth it. Having see my country flag flying when we arrive at the motel is great. The owner's assistance and advice on our hiking trip is great too. The room is spacious and well equipped. Great Wifi, parking at...

So cozy, really makes you feel like home. I stayed at the cottage and it was everything I need after a long day of nature exploring. Clean, quiet, organized. Seeing my car parked just outside my drive way made me feel like I owned the place and the beautiful surroudings. I love New Zealand

Very large, clean room in quiet location but centrally situated. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Had laundry facilities which was really handy at the midway point in our holiday. Would recommend whitewater rafting with Rafting New Zealand
The place has a homely feel -the rooms are big and the kitchen is ckean and has all the things you need if you want to cook which we did. It is near to everywhere in Turangi area walking distance to the grocery and food shops are just around the property including the ISite center. It is ideal for any diy activity-walking, biking or just exploring the area. Highly rec...

It was my fault for not checking my booking online, but they charged me more than what was agreed through Agoda... I noticed several days later so decided not to dispute since the hospitality was great and the facilities clean and kempt with a great kitchen space.

This place is unique. It’s hard not to like it. Has a community feel, chilled out and good organisers who will help you out with any tongariro planning you might need! Also had a really cute tiny kitten which despite being allergic to cats I quite enjoyed! So yeah if you’re allergic to cats maybe this place isn’t for you, I had some fairly big hives! Good basic, homely...

This lodge is outstanding, and it’s all thank to Jason for the great hospitality and friendliness. It is the best in NZ. 5 of us stayed there a week ago and loved it. Plenty of fruit, egg and cooking stuff, breakfast is included. It is super clean and both linen and towels have superb quality. Don’t go any further, book it here and enjoy it. We will stay again.

This was a last minute booking for us as we had previously booked a rather lavish hotel in Taupo but once we arrived in Taupo we realized that our stay coincided with the Iron Man. So we decided to change locations for something a little more quiet. On arrival the staff at the Rainbow Motel were so friendly and gave us guided tour of all the facilities. The private ...
Not bad value for money, basic accommodation - could do with some updating, but the kids enjoyed the pallet swing, I would be concerned to be staying in the tiny chalets so close together with neighbours with kids in the busy season tho. Was lovely and warm when we arrived - not sure how warm it could have been overnight as my son turned the heater off! only one chair ...
