We often go to Tweed Heads for the night as a get away and stay at Baywater, the staff are lovely and the rooms are clean and neat. Highly recommended.

The Blue Pelican is very conveniently located on a main thoroughfare close to the centre of Coolangatta - Tweed Heads. In spite of this, however, traffic noise is quite unobtrusive. This is a fine establishment. Good staff, good management. Only one small problem. When leaving the premises there is a small leafy tree on the footpath about 10 metres from the exit. It blocks vision of traffic approaching. It is DANGEROUS. Do not destroy the tree just get council to trim it back.

Disappointing as it was advertised as a two bedroom - only one available...had to sleep on a lounge or offered another apartment to sleep on a single bed....no air conditioning and the fans that were avaiable did not work to full speed and were noisy. Over all - disappointing and not worth the money
