Where to stay in Wanganui
Wanganui hotels & accommodations

We're a family of 3 who decided to break our drive from Taupo to Wellington so we decided to spend the night at Wanganui. This motel is amazing. They have a spa next to your bed, wifi is pretty fast. Staff are friendly and its so easy to access / locate.

We were in Wanganui for the NZ Masters Games. Ron (the owner) was amazing, nothing was a problem, very helpful and our room was immaculate not to mention the price was very reasonable for 4 star accommodation. We were in close walking distance to town and restaurants and there were three large supermarkets close by. We will definitely stay there again and would highly ...

Good quiet location, set back from the road. No room aircon but a fan was supplied. The tv was a bit small and tv reception was not as good as it should have been. The ranchslider entrance door handle was loose on arrival but my husband tightened it up as he had his toolbox in the car :)

Lovely place next to the river. Beautiful grounds with tables to sit outside to eat if we wanted to. Hammocks to lie in and enjoy the garden. Very clean kitchen. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. A fabulous restaurant right next door. I would definitely go back there.

We stayed 1 night in a refurbished studio unit which was clean & tidy, comfy beds and lovely bathroom. Handy to the hospital and not too far from town. The new hosts were very helpful & friendly, always had a smile and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Fiesta Court Motel is good value for money and we would not hesitate to stay again.

I have stayed many places in Wanganui for sporting events and thought I would try Burwood Manor Motel. I was impressed with the service from the young lady at Reception. She was very helpful when I had a couple of queries. The unit was clean and tidy and the beds were amazing! I will definitely be back.

We had stayed at this Motel before and so wanted to do so again mainly because I was craving for one of their steak meals....was so disappointed as the restaurant had closed down....had not read anywhere that it had. We also experienced some rather noisy neighbours so that put a real big damper on things....not the motels fault and they were very sorry about it when I...

When I made the booking I knew we would arrive late and wanted a quite place to get a good nights sleep before another long day driving. As it turned out we arrived very late (nearly midnight) as a result of a late ferry crossing. The owners were very accommodating and we were able to make arrangements to cover our late arrival. The motel was well set out, clean...

Lovely friendly staff but the place feels very much in limbo between the modern facilities of Breakers/the pub (which was open early but closed early) and the outdated B&B feel of the hotel, particularly the 'motor inn' wing overlooking the car park. Quite difficult to navigate with luggage although there is a lift between major floors. Staff were helpful and friendly ...

The Motel was easy to find in a prominent position. The room was a good size even with the cases. The bathroom made good use of the limited space available and suited us fine. The room was well lit thanks to the window which including the entrance wall covered one wall of the room.

Our cabin overlooked the river, and when we woke in the morning the mist was lifting. It was beautiful. The Park was easy to find and the service was efficient. We asked about local places to dine and received a good recommendation. The park was busy but didn't feel crowded.

A pleasant relaxing stay in superb surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only improvement to suggest is that the Information booklet includes a map so that places of interest and perhaps dairies and petrol stations can be easily accessed

I highly recommend this motel. We had a wedding and the reception was at the Racecourse which is across the road so the location was perfect for us. The staff are really accommodating and make you feel very welcome. We arrived to some home made slice and had home made fresh muffins delivered the following morning. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
