Whangarei hotels & accommodations
After hour check-in was easy and efficient. We were fortunate to get free street parking close to the apartment for the night. The one bedroom apartment appeared to be newly renovated and was a very decent size. We were given an apartment on the higher floor (Level 2) as requested. As we were on the road side, we did hear some cars intermittently revving by. Would hig...
Natasha met me at the reception with a welcoming smile and a very prompt and efficient check-in, much appreciated after spending 6 hours driving from Auckland to Whangarei in Easter holiday traffic. Went to the room and could not falter anything!!! Wow your housekeeping staff could train some of Aucklands hotel housekeeping staff on how to clean a hotel room properly! ...
Generally the room was comfortable to stay, despite the condition is a bit old. Recommend for small family staying overnight at Whangarei! =)
These guys deserve some free advertising, great place to stay, great staff & management, go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Best price ever for really clean & modern rooms, hard to beat, in fact I will discussing with my management around our company staying here as well for work as really reasonable. Food is excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Flames - up there for the Colgate Athletics games, so the Pool was used in between events to cool down on the hot competition days! About 10min from Central Whangarei, but in a lovely quiet area with the local stores across the road and a bar/restaurant also available. Easy to locate, and handy to the aiport, day trips galore to b...
Honestly the best motel I've ever stayed at. Clean room, modern inside and out. Perfect sized sparkling clean pool. Kids loved it! Really friendly Staff. Great location. Can't find a fault. Will definitely stay again
I had one night in Whangarei between appointments and the Central Court proved very satisfactory for my purpose. Located on the main highway, yet back from the road far enough to avoid traffic noise, the complex is very functional. The unit was very small but adequate. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was easy to use. No air conditioning but a simple ele...
The standard is very good and all was clean and fine. The Hotel is good..Bed and Bathroom very good...Heaters in the rooms available.
This is a great little gem of Whangarei. Superb value for money and excellent central location: walking distance to grocery store, fast food places and restaurants/shopping. Very clean, very friendly, accomodating owners and nice and quiet at night. Plenty of free parking on motel grounds. Flat screen TV w/lots of SKY channels
excellent fan heaters heated the room very fast, thank heaven, because it was a frosty night. unfortunately they turned the sleeping blankets on for us, which we hate, but i'm sure most people would have liked that as an added plus! old style motel which was clean and had fresh coat of paint, curtains, etc. tv & fridge in the room, cooktop & microwave, so you could eas...
Stayed couple pf nights here while diving at Tutukaka - lot cheaper to stay here and only half an hour drive from herw to the dive spot. Overall a Comfortable stay.
Elegant and wonderful place. Every body may feel like home. Room and living room are wide and clean and comfortable. I and my wife felt as if we're royal family. Hostess and host are kind and friendly. Breakfast was gorgeous and coffee and tea were nice. The best B&B we have ever stayed in. We will go there again whenever we go to Whangarei.
Really.enjoyed.our stay here friendly staff and our children loved the grounds.with a trampoline and ducks. They provided us with a portable cot at no extra charge which was nice. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Only thing it didn't have was rubbish bin liners which made it.hard when doing dishes and wanting to discard food scraps. The reason I chose th...
Of all the hotels we have stayed in while travelling NZ, this was by far the best. I had a wonderful sleep on the comfy bed and pillows. The bed was comfy, the room was noise-proof and the facilities just perfect. The bathroom was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed.
We enjoyed our stay at the Lodge Bordeaux, we arrived to a warm welcome. The one bedroom apartment was luxurious and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was of a high standard and had a comprehensive mini bar which included beautiful New Zealand wines. We would definately recommend this hotel.
Was ok, but had a rough night because of the heat. Would find a place with A/C if in Whangarei again during summer.
Friendly welcome, good location, close to supermarkets and not too far from town, fantastic Indian Restaurant up the road! Clean and tidy, good sofa to watch tele from. Very comfy bed. My observation of Whangarei motels is they are all a little squished in, all quite close to main roads and therefore a bit noisy. If you accept that is going to be the case I’d recommend...
the host were great and friendly... told me some nice places to go nice quiet vicinity that is close to eateries.... will be better if you have a car or else it is very inconvenient to reach the place nice quiet place to stay and rest for the night before carrying on the road trip whangarei falls is a nice place to visit
The Lipton Lodge is a off the beaten path location for your next visit to New Zealand. Andy will welcome you to the Losge, bring your bags to your room , make a wonderful and tasty dinner and even a better breakfast to you for a reasonable cost. The room we stayed in was large, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The only slight draw back to the Lodge is you hav...
Enjoyed my stay at Stonehaven as the bed was to die for - I really loved the pillows and bed linen. It was clean and serviced every day and the staff were friendly. Would recommend to anyone going to Whangarei
A very good room layout, with the kitchen just behind the counter to the side of the bed. Very good service provided by the hosts in doing the laundry, providing an umbrella and offering to help donate our clothes to charity. We stayed there on the last day of our trip to New Zealand, and didn't want to take all of our clothes back. The hosts, Dean and Judy offered to ...
Manage ment were very helpful pleasant large rooms the only complaint would be the wifi Not working properly otherwise it was fine
Got told on arrival wen checking in tht showers Were just warm due to the fact of the steam setting fire alarm off ( ridiculous at this time of the year winter and having a shower that wasn't even warm enough and in a freezing room that didn't have a heater or xtra blanket We had to ask for both Dining room pathetic it was so cold that you had a runny nose no heaters ...

Whangarie is a mid-way town where you travel from Auckland to Phihia. This town is a resort place where you can enjoy shopping among the shopping malls.
Whangarei is located on its own harbor on the east coast of Northland. Because of its port (and the nearby Marsden Point oil refinery) it has become the commercial hub of Northland and has a full range of services.
Clapham Clocks at the Town Basin, Handy to local beaches, they are beautiful! The ethnic people are friendly
Its population of about 30,000 makes it a lovely country town with country town hospitality. Lovely harbour town with restaurants by the "river inlet" of the harbour and a very interesting clock museum there too, plus some great shops.
