This hotel is probably one of the highest quality hotels in Windhoek but it is pretty typical of a mid-high end hotel from a chain like Hilton. The hotel is very new so everything seems fresh - the room was well designed and slightly small but comfortable. We only used the hotel as a resting place on the way to and from the airport so didn't have much use of the facilities, but we had no complaints. But I always find it disappointing when these big hotels charge for internet, while every smaller hotel that we stayed at on our trip gave guests internet for free.

Our family stayed over for 1 night at Paragon Cresent Suites. On arrival between 4h30pm - 4h45pm there was no one to welcome us at the reception / administration office to ensure a smooth check-in. I had to ask for assistance for another company on the same premises to please assist us, the lady then informed me that Paragon Cresent Suites' office are closed for the day. A bit taken away, by them being fully aware of our booking, and still they closed early for the day. The lady from the other company then thankfully assisted me by getting the key from the Cresent Cafe on the same property and not being her duty at all then show me to our apartment for the night as well as made sure that all is in order. Second disappointment came in, when one of my main reasons for booking this apartment was to have complimentary wi-fi. With no-one at the Admin office whilst checking in, I could not ask for the wi-fi password, and therefore we could not make use of it. There is a beautiful booklet on display in the room about the luxury apartments, explaining that there is wi-fi and all other amenities included, but with no-one to offer you the service, I feel hugely disappointed with my booking. We stayed in the apartment above the Cresent Cafe, which was rather noisy early the following morning. Just before 7am they started playing their music so loud and getting ready for the day. All you hear is banging chairs and moving table as well as the LOUD music, word for word and it only stopped at 8am. (When all other offices were open for trading as well) The apartment block is located in a very busy street, so if you looking for a quiet place to spend a few days this will not be the place for you. If I need to review the apartment only....it would be a good review, the apartment was spotlessly clean, lovely inviting and calming aroma from the diffusers when you enter the apartment. Beautiful, neat, luxurious attention to detail with the decor.

This is a very nice hotel in Windhoek. It is cheaper than the Hilton Windhoek but I doubt the Hilton could be more comfortable or convenient. The room was very comfortable, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. The only problem with this hotel is the Internet as we had real difficulties sending out email. The hotel staff tried to help us but were never able to really solve the problem. For this reason alone I would say that it is not practical for business travellers to stay in this hotel. However it should not be a problem for tourists. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of a shopping mall which seems unusual at first but is actually quite convenient. There are some great restaurants in Windhoek which are all a short cab ride from the hotel

On our recent trip to Namibia we stayed for two nights an Pension Steiner, both at the beginning and at the end of our stay. It is a quiet, pleasant small hotel tucked away at the end of a quiet street in the central city. It is easy to walk to other central attractions and one of the main shopping malls is literally opposite the hotel. The staff were very helpful, both in booking restaurants etc. and quickly arranging for a fault in a wardrobe to be fixed. Breakfast can be enjoyed from the buffet - with cooked eggs on request - and eating it on tables in the garden near the small swimming pool makes an excellent start to the day. It is easy to understand why Pension Steiner is so popular with small groups touring around Namibia: a perfect place to begin and end one's stay!

I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming reception and very efficient staff who booked me in for my overnight stay, pre and again post my 6 day tour of Namibia. The room I slept in on my first visit was neat and welcoming. There was a slight leak from the shower which wet the bathroom floor and staff were most appreciative when informed about this. I was given a ground level room on my post tour visit and this was very close to the dining room. Food ordered from the restaurant was very well presented and most affordable. The locally produced Roof Draught was one of the best beers I have consumed. Staff generally were more than willing to accommodate all my needs and I would highly recommend this facility.

Very flexible ! (Unlike the car-rental company Aloe.) Our flight was delayed for over 48 hours and we were afraid we lost our booking. We were very happy that they were willing to alter the dates to the end of our journey instead of the beginning. Than we were back in Windhoek 1 day early and again no problem. We enjoyed the quiet place and friendly hosting! Don't doubt, just book. R&M Brinda

A one night stay after arriving late into Windhoek. After a little confusion about my booking the manager was extremely helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the B&B had suffered a lighting strike that knocked out WiFi but otherwise the room was comfortable and very clean. For a longer stay there is a very nice garden area and pool. Breakfast was very good with a good range of fresh items and prepared choices.

We stayed at Maison Ambre guest house for one night at the beginning of a two week driving tour of Namibia. Maison Ambre is conveniently located within safe walking distance of the center of Windhoek. On arrival we were met by the owners and shown to our wonderful suite. The compound is very secure and the villa/guest house is very comfortable. We had just come from 12 days traveling in South Africa so we were in need of laundry services--but since we only had one day in Windhoek, it was nice that the guest house has very efficient laundry services. The breakfast was cook to order and nicely done. The owners gave us very good recommendations for restaurants for dinner within walking distance. The only suggestion for improvement I have is that I could not find a way to directly make a room reservation on the guest house website. In the end I was able to make our reservation through the Agoda booking site and that worked well. In the future I would probably just phone the guest house directly to make reservations as the owners handle the reception and they speak multiple languages fluently.

The stay was great and the front desk very help full But I would never recommend their restaurant as the staff did not pay attention to guest request and very tardy to execute your request and was more interested in the business meetng than the individual guests. We ordered medium steaks and got it rare and to fix - it took them almost 30 minutes and 3 request by us to get the meat back. We ordered cappuccino and plain ice cold filter coffee was delivered also after various inquiry about the coffee. Loud business meeting was conducted on Sunday Dinner and they did nothing to get other clients to lower the noise. The hotel swimming pool is a mere splash bath.
