Xiamen hotels & accommodations

This is a brand new hotel in Xiamen. The location is great for both tourist sights (nearby Piano Island is accessible through the ferry boats) and gift shopping. Try the peach pastries at their buffet style breakfast! We also ordered room service and the staff was very professional and helpful (although I still don't think it's a good idea to order a burger while in...

This hotel is sheer class from the moment you walk into it until the moment you leave. there are photos of Country leaders having holidays here, and I can see why. Comfortable, spacious rooms, friendly, courtious staff, sumptious breakfast menu. The loction is superb with views of the sea, and a forest walk, ideal for a couple of days rest on a busy business trip. the ...

This hotel in Xiamen was no doubt one of the best hotel I ever stay in. Superb comfort in the room. Wifi was good. Cleanliness is number one. The interior design was also classy. The marble furnishing in the room makes it really grand. I will definitely stay in this hotel again when I go Xiamen.

The staff was very helpful especially Mr. Aucus whom has provide us with a lot of valuable informations to get around Xiamen. Hotel location was fantastic with bus stops at close proximity, the response to request was swift eg. I asked for a shaver when i was on my way down for breakfast I get it when I came up from the restaurent. When I request for help when the wifi...

Rooms are not big (but I heard it's the same for most hotels in Xiamen) but very clean and nicely decorated. It has all you need. Breakfast was good. Hotel is next to the lake and centrally located. Pretty good value for money and will come back again. Note: I booked via Agoda but when I check in, I heard if you book directly via hotel the price is similar, so if you w...

Overall excellent. I have been to this hotel before many years ago when it was the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Millennium have done an excellent job of renovation. Only criticisms: 1. The hotel could have provided a little more up-to-date local tourist information . Getting to Xiamen's star attraction (Gulangyu Island) is no longer as easy as most of China guide books sugg...

The hotel name sounds a little bit shabby at first time. But after checking in, the room is really splendid, at least the same level with Ramada or Hilton inn. Actually, the hotel used to be the city's Higher Level Official Resorts and once served Deng Xiaoping and received a 99/100 points from him. The location is awesome witn the best seafood restaurant XIAO YAN JIN...

As I was in Xiamen for business, I was sadly unable to enjoy this lovely new hotel further than my room for the night. I was told that Kempinski is the newest hotel in Xiamen which I had not expected, hence I could not find any fault in the room which was completely spotless. I was personally shown to my room and they had left some welcome drinks and snacks on the coff...

I found out that this is HaiCang is a relatively new area in Xiamen, so there is a little distance from city center. It's about 30-40 min drive. If you don't mind the distance, this is a nice hotel. It's not the same as DoubleTree hotels in the U.S. This is a 22-floor building with all the amenities.I particularly love the view that overlook the ocean. There are a lot...

this hotel was my second time stay! 1st time having the best breakfast at 34th floor but this time the restaurant move to 3rd floor! is dissappointed but us a nice place to stay!easy to travel around in xiamen town! staff are friendly, room clean, restaurant nice breakfast!

The Xiamen Harbour Hotel Indigo is directly across a narrow strait from the smaller island Gulangyu, which is the best part of a lovely city. The main ferry docks are all either directly across the highway or a five minute walk away, but make sure you ask the staff which one to go to because it may not be the closest one to the hotel or the one you would expect. The ho...

This is the best hotel out of 3 we have booked thru Agoda for this trip. First, because the owners(husband and wife team),who are also the staff, are fast in attending to our concerns, from check-in to check-out, toilet issue, etc. Second, when we were lost in Xiamen on our first day, they went out of their way to pick us up using their car at no charge. They could ...

We stayed at the Louis China hotel for one night, having initially booked for two. The staff was very accommodating in allowing us to adjust our reservation at the last minute. The location one gulangyu was very convenient, but note you will need to take a ferry to get back and forth from Xiamen which can be a crowded and lengthy experience during the day (easier i...

I booked this place on Agoda, the reviews were not that good. It was an inexpensive booking and reading other reviews mediocre was actually pretty good for Xiamen. I was not expecting anything amazing. Going in undersold, I was ready for anything. Door lock fails. After a day exploring, I find myself locked out. Luckily it was not too late, and they had a handy...

This is a perfect location for the Xiamen 70.3. Nice clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Booked it fairly late so got a large suite with a massive terrace, which was more than I wanted to pay. Hotel breakfast was vast! Evening dinner portion was small! Had serious wifi issues throughout the entire stay which tarnish the experience a little!

At first I thought this place is very inconvenient but in reality, away from city centre and yet taxi is always available to take you to nice places in Xiamen from CNY11 to CNY80. Kids and my invited Guests all love this hotel. Plus, dining in this 5 star hotel is very reasonable. Spend at least one night dining at this amazing Chinese Restaurant at 3rd floor.

nice, modern hotel wit clean rooms and good service. nice french restauranton the ground floor. part of the staff speak english at the lobby.located close to city centre, ferry terminal and xiamen attractions (about 11rmb for taxi to get to the most places from the hotel). staff helps you to get a taxi by the entrance of the hotel and speak with driver for directions. m...

This place is located in very convenient area. You can walk to Zhong shan pedestrian street and you can find many restaurants around the hotel. The room and the garden are very romantic and cozy. Bath room is very spacious. Which I especially liked is the staff. Only a few staff speaks english and I don't speak chinese. Even though they were very kind and helped me so ...

I requested for non-smoking room, but the type of suite that I requested is not available on the non-smoking floor. So, they put me in a regular floor. After I went to the room, the front desk called me to see if I want to change in case I feel the smoking smell is too strong. As a matter of fact, there is no smell, so I stayed in the room. This shows their attenti...

we are 6 people in 3 beds. we arrived way over midnight but the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. the hotel is very affordable. breakfast is 18rmb and has a great assortment of typical chinese breakfast. it is centrally located. so easy to get to the shopping area in chong san lu. it is walking distance to xiamen university. it is 8rmb to ride to the ferry to go ...

i stayed in the crowne plaza hotel paragon xiamen for a week on business to attend a conference. the hotel provides very good conference facilities and service as well as the hotel is also good for the business traveller but also to families in my point of view. the location is very good in the midle of the city exactly in the business and shopping district (e.g., c...

Property host contacted me as soon as I have made the booking. As there are some on-going construction work nearby the property, property host send all the necessary information and clear guide to the property. Besides that, he also offered free ride when I have arrived landmark nearby the property. Overall, property is in good condition and distance to railway statio...

The pictures shown on the website are totally fake, the rooms look nothing like the photos. The staff told us they don’t have businesses queen room, all the rooms are the same. The room they charge higher price is for business man who wants receipt of payment. Also we found cockroaches in our room.

1 BTS stop away from Xiamen Railway station. Near shopping district and love the strips of bus guides to get to various tourist attractions at the lobby . Please take note that the lowest end in Agoda gets you a no window room. Ok for 1 night stayover.

The room was very clean. The room cleaner women was very good and do a very good job . The front desk staff are not helpful and inexperience to guide tourist when needed. Very funny that the hotel policy was that they do not provide assistance to call for taxi to airport and was told that this is the policy. Location is ok as it takes about 20mins walk to the most ...

the staff let us wait for 30 mins because they said they have not received our booking confirmation in their email which is totally unbelievable given that when we booked online, we received the email confirmation after 1 minute! also, the staff were smoking in the lobby - INDOORS! so it smelled like hell. aside from these, no issue. I know there was a free breakfast b...

Arrival of the hotel, during check in wasted alot of time 1 hr plus, required the Visa of our passport said it is a company policy. But our country is exempted from Visa. Their staff is under trained- do not know how to handle this kind of situation. Rough handle of our passport, flip through so rough almost going to tear the pages. Next time going to book the hotel be...

Dear all readers , I personally would higherly recommen . My resons are below : 1: Best review of Gulangyu ( it locates on the mountain) 2: the staff are very helpful ( they would willing walk down from the mountain and guide you up) 3: the environment is peaceful . (5 mins a way from the downtown area, it’s very convenience) The bad things are : 1: you have t...

I needed a budget hotel accommodation near my relatives. There aren't many choices, and most of them only allow local Chinese to stay. Me being considered foreigner have fewer choices, and Hanting happened to be available. It offered decent room reasonably clean and equipped. Shortcomings: 1. Rats ran above inside the false-ceilings at night. None came out, but...

Room was cleaner and larger than expected. Staff was friendly and helpful, not only did they arranged for transport to the airport for us, they even came to our room to inform us when the car arrived. The only issue I can think of is the location, as the hotel is not along the main street. The main street has plenty of food though, so it's still really convenient. For ...

It was an excellent stay in this guesthouse. Especially went to downtown and Gulangyu. There are too many people out there and not chill enough. I feel comfortable here and it is very convenience. When I wanna to go to downtown I took No. 29 from bus stop only RMB1 which bus stop located opposite to the main road from guesthouse. When I go other places like University...

If we talk about value for money, then this hotel definitely gives you that. The hotel may look old from the outside but the building is undergoing some renovation right now and may look better sometime in the future. Reception is great. I had several communication with them despite the language barrier but they handled them very well. Moreover, the language barrier is...

Tiis is a very nice and beautiful hotel. 8-15 mins walk from the GulangYu Jetty. Located near to the Bank of China at LongTou LU. Follow the staircase under a Big tree next to the Tourist information center then you will find the hotel. The hotel is close to the shopping street, restaurants and cafe. There is no taxi service in the island, you need to walk. Thus, th...

Let's not kid anyone, you get a clean, comfortable room with a king size bed, wi-fi that works in the room (and wired if you prefer, they even supply an ethernet cable), breakfast available (though I didn't avail myself of it), and a short walking distance to the western gate of Xiamen University and NanPuTou Temple, plenty of restaurants, bars, and bakeries. There m...

We stayed in Ibis Xiamen for only 1 night. The rates are really low for a city hotel near major shopping malls and transport system (railway). All in all, it was a good choice given its low price. We paid less than USD30 for a king size room. We were received by cheerful staff who processed our bookings really fast. The customer service standard was remarkably hi...

Though facilities can't be comparable with other star hotels, this Chinese traditional style of housing is a precious experience. The room is tiny but clean, well equipped with air-conditioner. Location is excellent, just few minutes walk to food street, convenient and bit away from crowdy & noisy streets. Most of all, staff are very kind and helpful in providing us...

Every trip to Xiamen, Discovery hotel is the only one for me. Enjoyed the room, set up, cleanliness and best of all, the friendly staffs. For this trip, I ventured further into the amenities and tried the massage centre in the hotel. The price is competitive, the service professional! Another thumbs up!

There is a shopping mall right next to the hotel. Room is comfortable and spacious and there are lots of movies to watch in the room. Although it is close to the airport, it is rather far from the main attractions of Xiamen island which requires cabbing. The price of a night’s stay is exorbitant too, given that breakfast is not included. I would settle for a cheaper ho...

Where to start ? At first I was puzzled by the very diverse reviews this hotel has, then once I appreciated the scale of the place I understood. It is really 2 hotels and a conference centre linked by a fine garden and tennis courts. The building close to the airport looks older and if my room is anything to go by is in the process of being refurbished. When I arrived t...

Overall are satisfied, the management should have upgrade the housekeeper hospitalability for some way. I might be staying again for my next visit at Xiamen. Last but no least, the hotel should provide more information of Xiamen city's information of shopping, best restaurants, attraction places to visit etc. Thank you. Bst rgds, RP

Can't believe that we had such a wonderful time in Xiamen. The Service apartment equipped nice and elegant furnitures, bathroom all comes with KOHLER's product. We can almost find everything we need in the kitchen, if not, employees will find one for you asap! Employees, even the doorman are nice and sweet, they do offer lot of help for us.

despite initial hiccups on agoda reservation and payment voucher (allegedly no formal advice received), rooms were provided but deposit payment required. everything was sorted out the next day after frantic calls to agoda singapore office (always remember the toll-free numbers to contact for similar situation). rooms are good enough, but free breakfast does not meet us...

The glory time is over i think, the swimming pool is belong to other company and as complementary only get 1x Entries for 1 person even you stay for 2 people and for more nights, after a long discussion trough agoda they finally gave us the swimming pool ticket as long we stay there..

The best thing about Xiamen Xinyi Hotel is the very very generous breakfast buffet selection however, without any warning, they closed the breakfast area and there are absolutely no decent clean place to eat that is walking distance from this rather ageing hotel located in a not-so-tourist friendly far-off location away from the city center

Lovely boutique hotel by the beachside, close to public transit. A little gem hide inside a small alley. Good front desk, largest hotel rooms I have seen in China, modernly priced. Very good breakfast with Chinese and Western selections, relax atmosphere; I would come back in a flash next time when I visit Xiamen again. If you are looking for place to relax, ocean...

- great location : close to airport (20 mins by taxi), haiwan park (5mins by bus or take a walk), zhongshan rd. and rundu ferry terminal (10-15mins by bus). there's a bus stop just behind the hotel. - guest room is clean. but if there's no window, it smells a bit. i recommend you stay in a room with window. - hot water comes a little later after you turning on...

Really no complain here. The breakfast buffet was exceptional with local fare and western dishes. They have better Amoy pies than what you can buy in the shop. Staff friendly and professional. Room spacious and beautifully decorated. Free wifi and domestic phone calls. I will stay here again.

I have been seeing the hotel was built back in the 80s. It's my favorite hotel and had the best service. I stayed at the hotel every time when I go to Xiamen. However, it is a bit different during this stay. 1st, the carpet in the lobby seems to be dirty and wear out. 2nd, I stayed for two nights, the service staff didn't take away the glasses and teacups. Even though I book the hotel room through Agoda but I m still recognise as an IHG member and got upgraded. The Seaview room is breathtaking. one of the best hotels in xiamen. located jingmin area, which makes it close to the factories and export agents. excellent staff, who can also speak english. fantastic breakfast. excellent chinese and international restaurants. calm atmosphere. i enjoyed my stay, and would highly recommend it.

Great… The major complaint is that if you are a guest at this Hot Springs Resort and you go to the hot springs in the afternoon, then leave for dinner plus a rest… then want to return at night you are not allowed to enter the hot springs as they have a CRAZY policy of one access per day unless you pay another 98RMB (US$16.33) to enter. Based on this policy it will be...

This is a very nice hotel, the included breakfast buffet is huge and excellent. Nice and large rooms. Overall excellent value for the cost. This is an excellent hotel with great ambiance. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they were very welcoming. The breakfast was very good as were the gym facilities (super hi-tech!). The only thing I found strange was the poor English of most of the staff, especially the phone receptionist, so making ourselves understood was sometimes a challenge. It was a sm...

I found the people here to be very friendly and helpful, even though I only speak English. It was not hard to find someone who understood English, but even the ones who didn't were still friendly and tried to help.
Unfortunately we travelled during Chinese New Year so it was extremely busy. There cues for everything and some people waited all day to go across to the other island or go on boat rides or indeed do anything.
Lots of development going on, clean city, great variety of food. Many historical places closely linked with Taiwan.
Nice place and easy to get taxi around Quite orderly and environmentally friendly with dustbins with recyclable and non recycleable.
I adore this city. Its growing very fast.. but it remains vibrant because of the universities. It's also very safe with strolling on the boardwalks by the beaches a major attraction, live music and BBQs.
it was worth a visit! Very clean city, clean sandy beach, wide and open road, many avernues in the city.
Worth a visit at least once. Very impressive with its infrastructure ... however, the High Speed Train Station is kind of ridiculously far from the city centre .
Xiamen is the second city of Fujian province. Located further south, it is easily accessible by the Hangzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway.
Spend one night in Gulangyu Island to explore it entirely. Spend an evening in the pedestrian street or taiwan food street.
The Tulou is fabulous. Gulanyu is too crowded but you just can't miss it. The food is not so attractive.
excellent snack food! wonderful. xiamen university and the old buildings on the gulangyu were very beautiful.
Clean, safe, less crowded compare to other parts of china.lots of Taiwanese influences especially over the food
It is really a civilized city. No metro train but buses and cabs are ok. Just check meter for payment and give exact change.
This is a very friendly and Eco friendly city. The city is surrounded by it's garden and big trees, make the city very breathable city.
A nice city with clean air and blue sky all the time. Beaches are not too clean and not recommend for swimming.
Nice and beautiful island in Fujian province. Easily access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, nightlife areas, and place of interests.
We only had two days in the area, which I feel is far too little time to truly appreciate all it has to offer.
XIAMEN IS FULL OF RICH CULTURE. IT IS A RELAXED AREA WITH PARKS AND ALSO WATER SPORTS. FOOD IS GOOD.
I enjoyed the island of Xiamen and the island of gulanyu. I cannot forget the yummy giant fried quid sold by the road.
The food is very very cheap there. But the taxi drivers there are not very nice for example they will refuse to go to ZhongShan Road because of high traffic hours.
Xiamen is nice and beautiful city. Surrounding by beach and mountain.. Its a relax place to stay in china, food and shopping are not recommended because its more expensive compare other city in china.
Xiamen is nice and beautiful city. Surrounding by beach and mountain.. Its a relax place to stay in china, food and shopping are not recommended because its more expensive compare other city in china.
Fantastic Seafood; Cheap and Good. Never though Fujian food could taste so good! Try the Ginger Fired Crab and Fried Rice Noodle.
"Changes" is the word from me about Xiamen, Xiamen always updating and keep changing whats need to change and keep Culture and History always.
Xiamen is a nice place to shop and eat. but as compared to Hong Kong, it is not as pleasant, food wise is also limited.
Most of the tourist spots are crowed of people, it's not easy to find a taxi back to hotel at midnight even you're at the center of city.
TT IS NOW A MODERN CITY. REAL ESTATE PRICES SUCH AS CONDOMINIUM UNIT HAS INCREASED ABOUT 10 TIMES OR 1000% IN THE LAST 10 YEARS.
Xiamen is a port city with Portugeuse heritage. It is quite a fun mix that really comes together in the food, architecture and environs.
Big city with good roads and pedestrian walks and some history and culture especially in Gu Lang Yu however the shopping is so so and things can be expensive.
Xiamen is a nice place for travelers and visitors whom are looking for relaxation. It is different for other city of China where the environments of Xiamen are really relaxing, peoples are friendly, no rushing as compare with Shanghai, Shenzhen or Beijing.
