Went to Yellowknife to see the Aurora Lights and it did not disappoint. I saw the lights for 3 straight days.
I went with 3 different tours to see what the experience was like for each tour. Aurora Village- 1st night, saw the light at night. Boy was it cold. They do provide you with a tepee that you can keep warm in. They provide you with snacks such as warm bread and soup. Unlimited amount of Hot water.2nd night went with North Star Adventures. It is a much smaller group which was nice because Joe the head of North Star Adventures drove us around to see the lights. This was a mind blowing because we saw the beautiful light in the night. He stated that it was a 3.5 out of a 5. I recommend booking with him. 3rd night went with Carlos and his snowmobile auorora night tour. It was freeze cold to be driving there and back. But it was worth it as we see the lights from his cabin. It was still close to the city but at least you can see it. We can warm up n his cabin and enjoy the treats that he serves. Overall a good experience.
