Where to stay in Zadar
Zadar hotels & accommodations

Zadar was a quick stop for us, but in retrospect we would have stayed longer as the old city is very appealing. The hotel was not easy to find, but once there, you realize you are in a great spot. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the staff helpful.

This is more a B&B but reasonably priced with very helpful staff. Has a lovely pool area opposite the sea. Ask for a sea view in rooms. They all have balconies, fridge, safe and on-suite. Could do with a kettle. Good choice of breakfast and coffee machine available during the day. A few good restaurants up the coast but more fast food down the coast! Great little cafe ...

This had to be the best accommodation we had throughout our stay in Croatia! The place was excellently located, just a 2 minutes walk from the Zadar main bus station! Nearby the apartment are 2 supermarkets and a Macdonalds! Also it's near the bus stop where you can conveniently take a bus to the Zadar old town. Our host Suzana was also superb! She was very attentive t...

Apartment is clean and spacious. Perfect location for us. We signed up with More Travel Agent (just 5mins walk from apartment) for our Day Trip to Plitvice National Park. Small group and we did not have to queue for our boat rides, as we started from Upper Lake then Lower Lake. Smooth journey and pleasant walk.

We really enjoyed our stay in our two rooms in Old Town Zadar. We were greeted by Vanya, a very friendly host who showed us the well lit & comfortable apartment, answered a few questions and made some helpful suggestions. The beds were comfortable, linens fresh & clean and bathrooms clean. Apartment had been recently updated with nice appliances and designed with simpl...

Friendship helpful people from getting off the aircraft to getting back on the aircraft to take us home.Has they do a pickup and drop off which is better than the taxi. Clean and well equipped. Excellent solution to have a restaurant as breakfast partner save you looking round for one, its only a quick stroll away. The location is amazing - literally 2 minutes away from...

Conveniently located between the old town and the main bus station. Nina, the owner, was nice enough to pick us up from the bus station when we arrived! The apartment was spacious and very clean, she had maps and restaurant recommendations for us which was great. Definitely a thumbs up from us!

Our days in Zadar were too perfect. The hosts Sandra & Jure at Tyra Deluxe were extremely friendly, responsive and helpful! We had never received such warm hospitality and generosity elsewhere. The extra spacious, fully furnished and artistic designed apartment was beyond our expectations. The neighborhood has easy access to almost everything in town! We feel like at ...

The apartment was well furnished with all modern ammenities. It was clean and spacious. The wifi was fast and stable. We were met and accompanied to the apartment and briefed about the apartment. It was the only apartment which actually gave us a receipt. Cons. The entry way to the apartment is dark and a bit deserted at night.

We stayed 1 night but wish we'd stayed longer. Zadar is hugely under rated, so give it as much time as you're able - definitely warrants more than an overnight stay! Apartments Villa Karla is a great base for your visit - extremely comfortable accommodation, quite new, super clean, nicely decorated, and adequate provisions for self-catering. It's located a 15-20 min...

No cons! The room is so cute and really well done! Nice big comfortable bed :) we only stayed three nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The location is unbeatable as it’s right in the old town in a beautiful ally with amazing restaurants and it’s not too bad of a walk with your suitcases! Would definitely stay there again!

We stay Zadar for two days, and Apartment Donat was perfect choice. Location is perfect, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We traveled via car, so the staff reserved a place for us. When we arrived at Zadar, I couldn't find the exact location of aprtment cause of malfuncition of my GPS, the Staff found us at the street and got in the car to help us.(the city of...

I would call it a 7 stars hotel if I can. The room is tastefully designed with a nice tub in the spacious bathroom. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing! The room is super clean and it has definitely met the standards of a cleanliness freak. The small bottles bathroom toiletries provided is great quality. I will definitely book this place again the n...

Our bus was over an hour late getting into Zadar, but the owner had very good communication with us and was very accommodating. He was enthusiastic and wanted us to be as comfortable as possible. It was a 15-20 minute walk from the main bus station in Zadar. There is a supermarket just downstairs from the building, but the apartment was pleasantly quiet. The main sight...

The hostess who met us at the restaurant was very gracious and friendly. (We had to 1st meet at the restaurant before being brought to the apartment. This resulted in a fair bit of walking). She gave good tips about dining options and things to do and see.
Cheap places to stay in Zadar

I really enjoyed my stay at Zadar Youth Hostel. The location suited me about 5km away from the busy part of town but still on the water. It was perfect for having a rest and relaxing. The outdoor courtyard with lounges and large umbrellas gave a real holiday feel and it was nice to sit outside in the sun to have breakfast. I'd definitely go there again. The breakfast i...

Our host met us at the airport quite late (we were only staying one night in Zadar before heading south). When we told her we wanted to see the Sea Organ, she explained that we HAD to see it at night, and got her husband to drive us there. It was, of course, great advice - as we went back the next morning, but it was a lot quieter. The room was great value, with kitch...

We had a lovely stay at Brankica apartments , i felt like a home away from home and the owner was very helpful and friendly and offered us coffee and wine on arival which was lovely, it was only 10 minutes by bus to the city and i loved the area as i was on the water.

Really good place to stay for travellers. Good: Good price, friendly and helpful owners, great location in old town, excellent kitchen, decent bathroom and room. Bad: Near bars so does get noisy at night with drunks. Not a big issue for us but tv didn't seem to work. Overall highly recommended

I had the single room for four days. While small anf basic it was very well presented and clean, and very comfortable. Air conditioning worked very well. No problems with the shower or bathroom. The location was fantastic, squirt little suburb about 10 minutes walk from the beach and old town. There are a few small shops and restaurants very close by. The owners were ...

This place has a great location, with the market and the supermarket right outside the door. Close to restaurants and bars, but still in a quiet area. Minus for this apartment is that its alot of stairs and no elavator in the building. Balcony was very small, the chair only fits sideways. And we had the bathroom outside the apartment. Staff was not as friendly and help...

We stayed in Rooms Toka for two nights. It's quite far from the city center but it would be perfect for people who get there by car. The room was nice, however the bed was quite short as some of the previous comments mentioned. The kitchen was ok, it had everything we needed, but the fridge was a bit moldy.Overall, it was an ok experience.

We loved our stay here! The owner saw us before we even found the place and showed us to the door. He was so lovely and helpful with everything, even carried my bag up for me! The room was perfect. Clean, comfy and spacious. Great shower and also great location. Wouls definitely stay again!

Cute, comfortable, clean and conveniently located in the middle of old town. The owner Josko was also very helpful looking up ferries for my travel the next day and giving me late checkout for free because the next guest wasn’t getting in until 4. I also met the housekeeper and she was lovely as well. Highly recommend if you are heading to Zadar!

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment which had an outside private terrace. It was fabulous. The apartment was a really good size with a fully equipped kitchen with even a dish washer! The bathroom had a fantastic shower and was a good size. The actual villa has 2 super marketers very close by and bakeries. It is a 15 minute walk to the old town and there is a bus st...

The location is great, just near the People's Square. The room was comfortable and the interior design was appealing but we are not quite sure where the art was. We ate only breakfast in the restaurant. The food was ok but served in a haphazard way and with no cheer. In general the staff lacked warmth. Not rude but compared with other places we have stayed at in Croati...

One can not be much closer to some of the main attractions in the old city of Zadar. It has views of of the unique old church, belltower, and sea. Though plain in design, this is a perfect small apartment for city exploration. The owner was amazingly helpful in responding to arrival details and even gave excellent suggestions of activities. We were really happy wit...

Booked a room for 2 as a couple but were given a twin and told for 10 euros more we could have a double,so be careful when you book here that you don't make the same mistake. View was nice, host was friendly. Beds very uncomfortable and thread bare sheets for the price. Bin was full hadn't been emptied from previous person.

Holiday Center Ivona is located in the center of the old town, in the middle of all the sights and attractions. It was really convenient for us; so much so that it allowed us to go back several times a day to drop off our shopping and rest our feet. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The hosts Bozena and Zarko were extremely helpful and friendly, ever ready to...

We were blown away by the stunning view of ocean, islands and the old town from our villa. We arrived late at night but were greeted warmly by our hosts, and they continued to be lovely and helpful during our whole stay. The apartment was perfect for us, our baby played in the small garden under the olive tree on most days. We enjoyed strolling into the old town most d...

The lady who received us at the apartment was friendly, courteous and always smiling. Offered us juice and even a bottle of local beer. The apartment was spacious for 3 people but could accommodate 4 comfortably. Location is awesome but during summer I believe the noise level from the forum could be heard at the apartment.
