Regency Hotel in Zhuhai is located very close to the 'Walking Street', the popular shopping area. The other end of the street will lead to the underground shopping complex, a giant shopping madness. The complex will in turn lead to the custom crossing to Macau. Walking time from custom entry to the hotel is about 17 minutes, provided you know the way. Its not difficult as the hotel is rather tall, you can see it from the custom after entering China. Its pink in color and has the alphabet GDH ( GuangDong Hotel). The rooms are very nice and well equipped, hot water is consistent and the bed is comfortable. The only problem is....no central heating, I was there on Jan 1st 2013, outside temperature was low of 7c. The hotel provided a heating coil which helped a little. All around the hotel are small Chinese(Cantonese) eateries, if you like Chinese food, you will have no problem. Zhuhai is a place for good Chinese food, thats about it, the only thing worth mention is maybe the Yuan Ming Garden which has a performance at night. There is a nice walkway along the sea front appropriately named the 'Lovers Highway', you can spend the whole morning walking it as it's quite a long distance, good way to burn off the Dim Sum. there is a reasonably good gym in the hotel.

I have purchased ferry ticket through your hotel but I was unable to board the ferry from Zhuhai Jiuzhou Ferry Terminal at 09:35 am to Skypier Hong Kong International Airport. I was instructed by the ferry staff to purchase another ferry ticket Y265 to Hong Kong Ferry Terminal instead. This is because the first ferry ticket was not meeting the flight departing time at 12:25 pm. With this change involved, I have incurred additional Taxis charge HK360 from Hong Kong Ferry Terminal to Hong Kong International Airport. This was not my intended journey and I would like to travel from Zhuhai Jiuzhou Ferry Terminal to Skypier Hong Kong Ferry Terminal directly. With detour in my travel plan, I have incurred additional costs fro the second ferry ticket (Y265) and Taxis charge HK360. Therefore, I would like to claim these additional cost incurred from your hotel. Let's get back again to advise me regarding this matter.

We have stayed in three hotels in Zhuhai during this holiday as we always like trying out different hotels. By far we like Hampton by Hilton the most in Zhuhai, and also better than the other Hiltons we've stayed in in other parts of Guangdong, China. The check in was efficient and friendly (really made us feel welcome), breakfast, though very busy, had a good selection and refill was quick too. The bed was good so was the choice of TV entertainment. Will stay again if we go to.zhuhai again.

I had never stayed at the Hyatt Plaza but usually Grand Hyatt or Park Hyatt if there is a choice. Having gone through the whole experience I am very impressed by the service and the breakfast. I do commend the young gentleman that checked me in and the other ladies close by for their sincerity and helpfulness also being informative especially when my membership could not be found. The breakfast was above my expectation as I was assuming a canteen type of meal. The selection was not as sumptuous as the five star hotel but I would say good enough myself. I was impressed by the food not being dry, hard or even luke warm because of the long warming up for hours. I would say it was highly recommended. The roof top infinity pool was good for my doing the laps but crowded over the weekend. The attendant were friendly also. Having said that, you may want to consider which area you need to access or visit as taxi driver is selective for customer but is close by the Hua Fa shopping mall.

Grand Nest Hotel is a good place to stay if you travel by car. The area is nice, located by the sea. A bit remote from a city centre, maybe not very convenient if you want to live in walking distance from Zhuhai attractions. A quiet place to stay ( except you have noisy neighbours down the corridor). The room price was not high compare to other hotels that make it double during holidays ( we stayed there at the beginning of October). The breakfast was surprisingly nice- range of traditional Chinese dishes.

When we ask the taxi driver to drive us to the address he didn't know where to drive but when we mentioned the hotel name he directly knew. There is a Hunan restaurant and a massage place nearby. Check-in no problem, rooms are modern, spacious and nice. Comfortable bed, clean, white towels. Doors are not very good isolated against noise because you can hear in the room the floor music and when other guests smash their doors. We were on the 5th floor close to the elevator. We went to bed at around 11:30pm and woke up by 1:30am by boom boom boom music. 4th floor operates a karaoke bar. :-( Staff told us they will stop at 2:30am but karaoke bar said later around 4:30am they will stop. In front of the hotel, at the entrance of the karaoke bar, a lot of taxis are waiting for guests (That's probably why taxi driver knew hotel name well). We went down to the reception and ask to change the room. Receptionist told us that she receives a lot of complains already and she offered us a room on the 7th floor but drawback was that there was a dripping pipe in the room. We still moved to this, a little smaller room, because here we could not hear the karaoke bar music anymore and the water dripping was not that serious. While waiting for the receptionist to change the room, a guy with his girlfriend entered the lobby with a beer in his hand. He probably wanted to visit the karaoke bar. He was probably told that he has to enter from the street side and both entered his car to drive car away. By driving away he crashed his BMW SUV against the small hotel wall and his car was damaged. All in all I would book this hotel again if I can ensure to get a room on the high floor far away from the karaoke bar. Taxi to other places e.g. seafood street, Macau border is less than 15 RMB.

I have been there twice as the hotel rooms are good for families or few couples' acccomodation. You could play sports like swimming, bowling, table tennis and snookers there, just the air-con is insufficient during night time. Don't even try the Chinese restaurant in the hotel, there was a 68折 notice board outside the restaurant, but when we checked the bill, the waitress told us no discount at all with bad attitude, and said the discount on notice board is expiried (then why not remove the board instead?) Alternatively, there are plenty of restaurants and shops outside the hotel area for less than 10mins walk, food is delicious.

Staffs in this hotel is very kind and warm-hearted, they even introduce some place and great restaurant for us. We ordered some food as room service, the food was delicious and made a deep impression on us. However, we came across some difficulties using the room wifi, we hope the problem will be sloved when we check in this hotel next time. All in all , this hotel is really great!!!

Good hotel for Zhuhai in the low to medium price range. My group and i are regular customers, but i dread check-in and out every time, the reception is badly laid out, sitting down, pushy customers try and talk over you and the reception staff operate like it is their first day on the job every time. but the hotel is clean and reasonably priced. Western style hotel restaurant on site is good. if only reception understood what a check in and check out process was

Being a frequent traveler to Zhuhai for work, I prefer to stay a little further away from the crowd at the border. For the rates that I had paid, I did not expect much, but was presently surprised. The rooms were much better than many of the more expensive 4 stars hotel in Zhuhai or even Shenzhen. The breakfirst package offer were good value for money at RMB15/set. The pub/cafe besides the hotel also offer a wide variety of food at reasonable cost. It takes only about 15mins to walk to the border to cross to Macau. Or RMB10 by taxi in 5 mins.

great location for seeing things in zhuhai , about 10 - 15 taxi ride to zhuhai macau boarder crossing with a taxi fee if about 20 rmb . you could step out of the hotel and walk to shopping , resturants, and ktv's . the room was very nice new carpet big flat screen tv and big shower . the room is a little on the small side but if just for relax and sleep then should be fine.

The Hotel is nicely located closed to a busy suburb with plenty of shops and local restaurants, and just across the street from the outstanding mall which opened a few months ago. Very convenient if you do business on the Western part of Zhuhai. 30 mins taxi ride to ChimeLong Ocean Park. Rooms are spacy with good quality bedding, at least on the 16th floor. WiFi is working perfectly. Breakfast is so so for a Western palate. I survived with black Nescafé shots and bread from the nearby bakery!

the feeling of the hotel location quiet and it's outlook is quite new. it's located on main street, easy to find. must take taxi from zhuhai custom, approx. 15 min. (cost less than rmb 30 by taxi). hotel design is fashionable and trendy. good taste for most of wall hanging painting art in room and corridor. good hot water supply and stable temperature in shower room. room is small for i have chosen a special room, but very neat, warm feeling, and clean. there is no smoking smell in smoking room. requires rmb300 deposit when check in. latest check out time is 2pm. there are many good sight seeing places nearby hotel. one western restaurant is just across the street, surprise me, they serve not bad western food at all, price is cheap (average in china). hair dryer is provided in room, however there is no fridge in room, this made me a bit disappointed. hotel front desk staff service quality is minimal just like many any other hotels in mainland china at this price level, therefore can't expect too much. still, overall feeling for this hotel is good. please note that i've missed their breakfast, therefore i have no comment on the hotel food.

What an unexpected delight compared to the surroundings. Very minimal English but staff gave 110% and could not do enough fr us. They apologized for the renovations but the hotel was spotless and 5 star quality. Amazingly comfortable king size bed. Exceptional ceiling shower with maximum pressure. All toiletries plus some. Breakfast included although western choice very minimal but served perfectly and the best coffee.

I took my wife here for our 13th anniversary and she was impressed. I should mention that we stayed in the a room that was 55sqm with the red and black bed and couch. I can't remember the name of the room, but it is larger than most others. At the time I only paid about 500 rmb including tax for one night, so I think the value of the room was pretty good for the price. Of course you can find cheaper rooms in this hotel and in Zhuhai, but I wanted a special room for a special occasion and this was well worth it. As far as the location it is in a decent area. There isn't much of a view from the rooms, since this hotel is in a residential district. However, it was only a 5-10 minute drive from Gongbei port and all the tourist attractions and shops. There were several restaurants within 5-10 walk of the hotel, including a western style restaurant that specializes in steaks. When we went the buffet breakfast wasn't a buffet, rather you had to order your food from a menu. But you could order whatever you wanted from the menu and it was included in the free breakfast deal. The only negative thing I would say about this hotel is that they advertise they have a fitness center which isn't true. I specifically searched for hotels with a fitness center and chose this one in part because they said they had one. I was a little disappointed but other than that the hotel was excellent. I'm not sure why many people only gave it a 5.5. Perhaps my opinion is based on one of their top rooms available, whereas the other reviews are based on one of the smaller rooms.
