Where to stay in Zürich
Zürich hotels & accommodations

we decided to stay here because we had to leave Zurich the next day. the hotel has nice decoration. clean and modern. big beds and comforters. one of my favourite stays in Switzerland. the hotel is nice enough for us to leave our baggage 1 day before we checked in while we were visiting Interlaken.

A bit far from the center, but access is totally easy. Tram is only a few steps away from the hotel, it gets you to the city in around 30 minutes (tram 10). Please note that you need to arrange your journey accordingly. Though ticket machine is available everywhere even in the tram stop outside the hotel, zoning in Zurich is pretty confusing. It can really cost you lot...

The room was clean and organized. The private bathroom was clean and came with amenities. My sister and I only stayed here one night, so we didn't need anything fancy. Hotel Alexander was a good fit for us! This was our first time in Zurich and we didn't do much research before coming. The front desk was very helpful in recommending a restaurant and telling us how to t...

We were hesitant to book this place as it didn't look that appealing in photos. We were pleasantly surprised that the suite had 2 large bedrooms, separate shower/bathroom and small kitchenette. Getting to the train station/main city centre was relatively easy. Just catch the tram which is very close by. Zurich (and Switzerland) is a very expensive place, but for...

Desk clerk who checked us in had difficulty communicating. Room was not made up by 4 pm one afternoon. Shower mechanism was not user-friendly and wasn't explained. Price of breakfast buffet, $43/person, was high even by Swiss standards. Concierge, Dominik Schneider, was excellent--among the very best we've ever had.

The location of the hotel is good, quiet, away from the busy centre but only a short walking distance to public transport and main landmarks. The reception service is good. Althiugh check in is 2pm, they had a room available beforehand and let us check in. The rooms are a good size. Comfortable beds and could sleep well without noise from the street or other guests. Th...

I loved how they constantly sent email communications regarding my booking, any special request, and even after my check-out. It made me feel like they really value their guests. I also appreciated the little touches in the room, the amenities, and that they offered a bottle of water -- free of charge when I checked out. The location is great, which is right next to Ba...

Traveling for holiday with my wife and stayed in this hotel for the weekend. Though away from the main shopping district, it is accessible to the downtown by a 2 mins train ride and the Swiss SBB station is only less than 5 minutes' brisk walk away. There is also a direct train every 30 mins to Zurich Airport on train #16. Singapore Airlines crew also stays in this ...

The room is clean but somehow there is this smoky smell in the room that I dislike. The bed is comfortable and large enough. The room is bright as it has a large window. Need to note that there is no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. That means there is no kettle to boil water as well. The tram stop (No. 4) at Technopark is behind the hotel and it's about 12 mi...

I arrived at the Zurich airport train station from Lucern around 9pm and took the shuttle service provided by NH Zurich hotel. My son and I were the only passengers and we were informed by the driver that the pick-up service is available to 11pm! When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff is professional and warm and am being informed on the shuttle bus service...

Our flight arrived at 6:30am, it was cold and dark and we took the train from the airport. Once we arrived at the main station we followed the walking directions to the hotel and arrived within 10minutes. I didn't get the girls name at reception but she was super helpful.she let us put our luggage in the locked luggage room while we went out to get some breakfast as ch...

visiting one of the most expensive city during summer means a big trouble find an acommodation. four points surprisingly one of the most affordable hotel in zurich. given its reputation because it is under sheraton, we put a lot of expectation. we were surprised with a very spacious room and bed. its probably one of the best bed. the location might not be in the city c...

We stayed at Ramada for 2 days. The room is big enough for 4 of us. Glad it has AC while other hotel (with the same star) has not. Free Wifi..!! so my sons were happy. since we are from Indonesia, we were so glad because there is a Singaporean Restaurant just in front of the hotel (but dont ask about the price..it is Switzerland.. :) )

This is an excellent hotel for a between flights stop-over at Zurich. Free shuttle both ways every 10-15 minutes. Efficient and helpful staff in all areas. Good choice of restaurants and pleasant bar. Comfortable, spotless rooms. (Smoking or non-smoking). Everything you need for a rest between late arrival and early departure. Hotels in Zurich can be ridiculously expen...

Best location ever right next to the river!!! Superb view n we r beyond speechless. Perfect for our honeymoon! The staffs were super top notch!! Friendly n helpful to our questions n needs!!! The room was so amazingly clean, NEW, aestheticly beautiful and the toilets too!!! So freaking perfect last stay in Zurich! Wished we stayed there longer!!! Will be back for sure!...

Atlantis Guesthouse was located near the train station, but it was not so near the main station. It was still convenient to go to the city center. It was clean, and good enough for our 4-day stay in Zurich. The beds were large, which is a plus. Service is good and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was average -- the usual continental buffet. I heard the hotels in Z...

Seeing moderate reviews on Agoda and TripAdvisor, we did not have much expection from the stay. However, surprisingly the room was fairly large for two people, extremely clean, bed was comfy with comforters thick enough for the cold weather for each of us. The breakfast was also adequate with a variety of basics like cereals, bread, eggs and hams. Its location is centr...

Hotel is located about 10mins by tram from Zurich main station. It's a reasonable rate for a clean and comfy room in high living cost Swiss. And convenient to commute with trams. I love the coffee machine in room and provision of a kettle too. There's supermarkets close by and choices of restaurants. My daughter love the bathtub.

It was a comfortable and memorable stay. This affordable hotel in Zurich is located near to airport with free bus shuttle service and reachable in City within 10 min by an efficient train service. You can travel to the nearby beautiful Lucene City from Airport train in one hour.
Cheap places to stay in Zürich

Easy access to public transport which is bus. The facilities are really good. The room and shared facilities are clean. The only concern is we couldnt find nearest groceries shop or restaurant. Probably we just stayed there just for a night and didnt manage to explore nearby

I stayed there just for one night but I really had a nice time there. The hotel looked small from outside, and it may not be the 5 star hotel with gorgeous interior, but the room was clean with very nice smell, the bath tub was big with good amenities, and staffs were supportive. I could have a nice relaxing time. The hotel is located right in front of the tram station...

It was a comfortable and memorable stay. This affordable hotel in Zurich is located near to airport with free bus shuttle service and reachable in City within 10 min by an efficient train service. You can travel to the nearby beautiful Lucene City from Airport train in one hour.

This hotel is strategical located close to Zurich Airport. Nevertheless the room I stayed in was very quite, you do not hear the planes at all, which is important to me. Rooms are very clean, modern and nice, the food is good, the breakfast as well. This is for me one of the best airport hotels in the Zurich area. I will stay here much more, when traveling though Zuric...

Beautifully designed interiors! However, 2 people in the room have trouble maneuvering around the bed. One person would be fine but 2 was a little hard for such a small room. The 2 women who were running the hotel were just wonderful! Very, very helpful with positive attitudes and patient with non German speaking guests. It is a little pricey considering the size o...

Clean room at the 5 minute train station to Zurich with smiling friendly staff. Coop is a next door. When I called the hotel reception that I have misplaced my shopping bag at the lobby, he kindly arranged a taxi driver to deliver the bag to me at the air port. I definitely will stay there again next time.

The hotel is right at the Hirschen Platz which is in close proximity to restaurants and shops, it's also close enough to the Zurich main train station, which is convenient when you travel to other towns / cities in Switzerland. Switzerland is massively expensive so we were fairly happy that we found a reasonably priced hotel in Zurich. Kindly enough, we were upgraded for free to a large King room for three nights which was luxurious. Nice room and free inroom wifi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also received a free chocolate bar! The hotel is about 20 minutes by tram out of the city whi...

This is my second stay at the Dorint. The location is perfect as it's out of town, so you don't have the city prices, but it's close enough to public transport to make central Zurich a 30min ride by tram. It's on the tram link to the airport too, so no hefty taxi or shuttle bus fees. The hotel staff are friendly and make sure solo travellers are well looked after. Desp...

Honestly, I was expecting a s.hole because most of the hotels in zurich were so expensive and all. but I was surprised to find such cute hotel located at the main train station in Zurich. It’s my first time in Switzerland and with the kindly help from the hotel lady, it make things easier for me. I walked along the lake till the church in the morning and met my friend in the train station. I put my luggage in the hotel until later in the afternoon. All nice feeling about it, I will choose it next time when I visit Zürich.

the plattenhoff hotel is a wonderful place to stay in zurich. they have very contemporary designed rooms that are still warm. it is a good idea to request staying on the first floor if you can as they have the highest ceilings. other good features about the hotel is that the staff is delightful and the breakfast is good. they even have a soft-boiled egg maker (which i ...

The Rex Hotel is a modern, well appointed hotel with comfortable rooms and clean fresh bathrooms. The views from the room we stayed in was excellent. The Rex's proximity to the city is very handy, we preferred to walk the 15-20 minute walk rather than catch the trams that stop close to the hotel. The hotel's breakfast was very nice and the staff member looking after th...

Myself and my husband stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel for only one night, and we both wish we could have stayed longer! The location of this hotel could not have been better. It was in a quiet area, with almost a residential feel to it, but yet it was less than 10 minutes to the train station which also happened to be the starting point for many of our day tours. There were several bars and restaurants all within walking distance. We stayed in a Junior Suite, with breakfast included....

I can not fault the staff service, every staff member offered consistent high level of service that I expected from a 5-star hotel. The location of this hotel made it perfect for walking day-tour of Zurich city. Short easy stroll to Lake Zurich and surrounds. For those who doesn't want to walk, one can easily catch tram to tour this wonderful city. Further, I was abl...

I was stay in the hotel Hilton Zurich Airport. Was very nice area closed to the airport but very quiet when you are in the hotel. Loved this place! Recommended by our son, who is a world traveller as a must stay place when we were in Zurich. Well worth the effort to get there, we took the local tram, very easy, and even though we were only there one night, it could have been a home base as no problem to get to town, quick and simple. Had a delicious gourmet meal in the hotel restaurant, then stro...

We only had 3 days in Zurich and wanted to make the most of them so we booked something as central as we could. Not only was the location amazing, but the service was also incredible. I needed a hotel well connected to the tramway system and the central station. This location was perfect. 2 minutes by tram to the station, then 15 minutes by train to the airport. My 24-hour travel card included trains/buses/trams and did cost 9 CHF between the 2 zones, covering both central Zurich and the airport area. No need for expensive taxis! Check-in at the ho...

Very pleased with the stay, nice breakfast, Sunday one even extended until 2pm, new & cosy room, had no prob walking from Oerlikon station with 2 luggages, abt 5 mins away. The only thing was the room abit warm when sleeping at night, just open up the window n u’ll be fine. Will definitely come back if i ever visit Zurich again

it was our first night in zurich. as this hotel has top ranking, we decided to stay there, but the experience is a bit disappointing. it is a small hotel so we were assigned to a room on the 1st floor, even we booked the junior suite. the view from the room is not good, but the cost of the room is very high. however, the service quality of the staff is very good....

The staff performance here is amazing. Our room was upgraded from the deluxe to superior at no charge! We requested for an early check in at 9 AM and we could do that. The night before we left, we had quite a lot of shopping so we had to pack a box. The concierge gave us some bubble wraps (which we didn't know where to buy in Zurich) and lent us tape and scissors all f...

I have been coming back to this centrally located hotel for 20 years and I very much appreciate the old world charm and total grasp of quality and comfort that the hotel understands. It appears to be under new management since my last visit to Zurich a few years ago now but the hotel was pretty much the same. My only disappointment was the inability to use the roof ter...

We received an upgrade upon check-in as it was my birthday on the second day of our stay. Service was top notch, on the morning of my birthday, staff at the restaurant where breakfast was served each greeted me and conveyed their warm wishes. The manager of the hotel prepared a handwritten card, and this was given to me with a delicious cake as soon as we settled down ...

Nice city but one night stay is enough to see the city as there's lots to see in other parts of Switzerland
Its a nice and clean city.Good for shopping of branded goods, but price is comparatively higher comparing to other parts of Europe .
In overall, the first thought during my first visit to Zurich is it's peaceful. The transportation network is well connected and convenient.
Zurich is an expensive place. Not much shopping to be done mostly are expensive and shop closed early - 6/7pm.
Great city for sight seeing, hiking, shopping. Other cities to see are Lucerne, interlaken, and the great jungfroujoch
Safe and pleasant short stay in Zurich. Romantic spot for honeymooners, but most likely autumn/ winter will be the most pleasant seasons to visit.
It's a big city, nothing much compared to others. I'll suggest just 1 or 2 night stays will be enough!
Most of Zürich's sites are located within the area on either side of the Limmat river, between the Main railway station and Lake Zürich.
Zurich is a very expensive city, as far as food, accommodation and shopping are concerned. Unless you have a very good reason to be in Zurich, there are many other cities with more places for sightseeing in Switzerland.
It is a beautiful city. But the city limit is small. Almost 90% of the shops are expensive branded ones.
Nice friendly city with great scenery and shops around. You may find alot of sports equipments are sold here.
Although small, Zurich has a lot to offer. And as Switzerland is small and public transport very efficient you can use the city as a base to discover a large part of the country.
I did not get to travel in the city much. As I only stay for a night before I catch a flight home the next morning.
Prices are very high especially for food. The cheapest being stuff around kebab joints - which still starts at Eur11.
You will find everything in Zurich, best restaurants, shops, discoteques and a beautiful boardwald by the lake.
In general, Zurich is a big city, there are many restaurants, shopping centres and the lake view is spectacular.
Nice city for 5 days maximum and more city is quit good and middle of swisserland near the international airport
Prices are high as expected, but the historical buildings and city atmosphere were beautiful. It is a walkable city and relatively relaxed.
Great city to visit. Not very busy. The public transportation are trams and buses, no subways. if you have Swiss pass, you can take tram and bus for free (within the date that indicate in Swiss pass).
i did the train tour up the mountain. It had beautiful and stunning views. Zurich is a beautiful city with amazing tours inside the city, and up the mountains.
It a beautiful city and it's quite relaxing and easy to go around the city. The Zurich lake is beautiful and easy accessible by tram.
One of the lovely city with world class shopping street like Paris but good transportation by Tram. A lots of museum and close to very beautiful Lake of Zurich
Beautiful city with a great transport system but a pity that all shops (except for those in the train station & airport) are closed on Sundays.
The city ia very clean. The trams connection is great. The day pass is also excellent, it comes with free boat ride.
Great Clean city with lots of attarctions to see.Restaurants are very good and so is the shopping.Went back to the Airport by train very well organised and cheap
the transport are really good, people are really nice and helpful. really good for great photo taking, lovely place but was a little too cold for me during my visit
Its a very beautiful city but very expensive. The locals are generally nice but not all could speaker english.
Compared with other cities in Switzerland. The tourism spot in the city is limited. As one of the major cities in the country, it is recommended to take a look.
If you want to go shopping in Switzerland, you should come to Zurich. If you works for the financial industry, you should also visit Zurich as many Swiss banks' headquarters are here.
