Excellent Access to BTS and MRT”
From past visits to Bangkok, we have zeroed in on the intersection of Sukhumvit and Asoke, This intersection is serviced by both the underground MRT (Sukhumvit Station) and the overhead BTS (Asok Station). For this trip, we wanted to be as close as possible to that intersection. The Citypoint Hotel met that criteria. We stayed six nights over nine days. The rooms were not huge, but were modern and clean. The shower had a valve that sent water either to a rainfall sprayhead or a hand sprayer, which was neat. The air conditioning was adequate if not powerful. We noticed the water pressure surged a bit and that caused the shower's water temperature to fluctuate a bit but not so much to be unacceptable. The staff's English was sufficient for all our needs. We included Breakfast in our rate. A buffet provided fruits, breads, cereals and juices. In addition you could custom order hot foods, like eggs and meats. All in all, we will come back to Citypoint Hotel on our next trip.
Great new boutique hotel, excellent location, WIFI”
aside from the hotel being a little hard for taxi drivers to find (make sure to get the directions and/or translation for the word "opposite soi 16" in thai!), citypoint hotel was an awesome find because of location, location, location! it's just a 2 minute walk to asoke bts, 3 minutes to the sukhumvit mts station, about 3 minutes to the new and awesome terminal 21 shopping center, 3 minutes (it's across the street) from exchange tower, and 4-5 minutes to soi cowboy. most of the hotel staff (front desk guys especially) speak excellent english and are honest and sincere--they can help provide tips on sightseeing and the best way to get to your sights of choice. they can help hail or reserve a taxi to the airport or wherever you need to go. the rooms are nice and comfortable, with a nice rain shower in the bathroom and the quintessential aircon to keep you cool. the room we had faced the side residential street so we had to keep our curtains drawn most of the time, and some nights there were dogs barking... it was bearable though. free wifi is always a plus, but can be a little spotty given that they have multiple routers. a couple days the wifi was down temporarily but hey, it's free! the breakfast spread was nice and staff were very friendly. eggs are cooked to order (use the little form to indicate how you want your eggs and with which meat accompaniments), and there was always juice, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee/tea, milk, yogurt, toast... you can even order cappuccinos if you want. overall, a nice hotel and for a great price! if they keep things as good or better, i would definitely consider coming back here again!
Superb location and service”
Citypoint hotel is truly a gem of a find. Got the superior double room at a promotion price on Agoda, which was a really good deal. The hotel is located just 3 mins away from the Asok BTS station, although it can be a bit of a challenge to find via cab initially (it's on Soi 16 on the same side as the Oasis spa). Terminal 21 which is connected to Asok station is a fun mall to shop around, and the supermarket at the basement is awesome. Across the road at Exchange Tower is 7-11, and just down the road from Terminal 21 is Healthland Asok where a full body massage costs just around 20 SGD. The staff is polite, fluent in English and always welcoming & helpful whenever you step into the hotel. The rooms are nothing to shout about in terms of luxury but it is definitely comfortable and no-frills, with high speed free wifi and rain shower (THE BEST). Free buffet breakfast is somewhat limited in terms of variety but sufficient to keep one going till lunchtime. With a multitude of hotels sprouting around in this area, Citypoint definitely proves to be one of the most worthy competitors in the neighbourhood. Will stay here again.
Great hotel in a perfect location”
I only stayed at the Citypoint for one night, as my usual hotel had construction work currently taking place right beside it. What attracted me to Citypoint was the great location, only a 5 minute walk or less to Asoke BTS (skytrain) Station, and the Sukhumvit MRT (subway) Station, both of which put you in easy access of the rest of downtown Bangkok. Terminal 21 Mall, Robinsons, City Bank Tower and a host of other shops, restaurants and bars are all within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. Yet the hotel is down a short side street that means that tho it is right near one of the busiest sections of Bangkok, it is in its own quiet little haven. The only downside to my room was that I had a view of the white wall of the building next door. Other then that, everything else about the hotel struck me as first class.
a very recomended hotel”
Very close walking distance to terminal21 mall, asoke bts and sukhumvit mrt. No deposit needed when checked in. At the first time i booked this hotel, we only think about a pleasant hotel which is close to bts and mrt. So at the first day we arrived there, we quite impresed with their room amenities that is equal to a 3stars hotel. Sometimes quite hard to control warm showers, but it's ok. The hotel's staffs helped us to get a taxi meter and explained to the driver about our destination. We planned to get back to citypoint hotel in the next 2days after we were checking out, so then i asked if we can store our big lugage overthere... an the reception said "yes, of course" ... and it is free of charge! If you are looking for a clean modern comfortable non-smoking room, with a good transportation access in the heart of bangkok, i definitely recommend this hotel.
Surprise at end of Soi”
Within 40 meters of Asoke BTS and Sukhumvit MRT CityPoint Hotel is perfect for anyone traversing Bangkok by mass transit. The hotel sitting on a very modest dead end Soi might mislead you into thinking that this will be a questionable stay. That all changes when you walk through the doors and gets even better when you enter your room. Everthing exceeded my expectations. The bed is do comfortable and the room far exceeded my expectations. I will return.
"Convenient, quiet, modern, excellent"”
There are many excellent attributes of the CityPoint Hotel. It is a very short walk to the Asoke Sky Train and the Sukhumvit MRT (subway) stations. It is close to shopping malls. The staff are most agreeable and helpful. It is quiet at night and in the morning. Very good free bkfst is served until 10:30 AM. Rooms are large and modern. No, they are not plush. The baths are modern, with separate rooms with doors for toilet and shower. Shower has both hand held shower and a rain shower. Hot water is abundant and does not fluctuate to chill or scald you. Reasonable prices. We loved our five night stay in January 2017.
Cleanliness, Comfortable & good services”
When I was checked in Citypoint Hotel, they help to take care our luggage, serve us some drinks with warm smile. They provide 24 hours counter services to let customers drop their room key too! Thus it is good for me that will never need to extra cautions on that damn room key XD By the way, the location of the hotel is really convenient, just a few minutes walking distance to Terminal 21 and BTS Asoke Station. You will never worry for food & shopping! Although it is just a small hotel, but the overall experience stayed there is comfortable & good for me! Definitely will stay in the same hotel when i travel to Bangkok again. Highly recommended for those travel couples!!
Jewel near Asoke”
CityPoint is a hidden jewel located about 40 meters from Asoke BTS and Terminal 21. It is hidden away in a small Soi across from Exchange Tower. At first glance from the outside you will be underwhelmed with the hotel and maybe question why you booked here. Once you enter the hotel your opinion will change. The lobby is small but nicely done. The staff is very friendly and efficient. When you head up to your room and 1st enter you will know you made the right decision on a hotel. The room is ver very nice with flat screen TV, wide channel selection, in room mini bar plenty of electrical outlets where you need them and a super comfortable bed. You are close to all of Bangkok with the MRT and BTS within a 2 minute walk. I give CityPoint high marks in all categories.
Great location and great room!! ”
My husband and I were very happy with this hotel after our short stay in Bangkok. The hotel is new with modern, clean and spacious rooms, the beds are extremely comfy. The included breakfast is good. You have a selection of eggs and breakfast meats to choose from and a self serve juice/bread/pastry/fruit/yoghurt/cereal bar. The location of the hotel is fantastic - right next to the Skytrain (BTS)and underground (MRT) stations which makes travel very convenient; there are various western and Thai food establishments/stalls nearby plus a huge retail shopping complex next to the stations. The staff were also very friendly and accomodating. Overall we were very happy with our stay at Citypoint Hotel.
I had a great time”
I had a lovely time at Citypoint Hotel. This is my second time staying there. I booked the superior room for 6Ds5Ns and my stay was very comfortable. Its a simple hotel that completes all your basic needs in a more comfortable manner. It is also very near (within 10 mins max walking distance) to Asok BTS station and Terminal 21, one of the popular shopping malls in Bangkok. There are many food areas in this area be it local or western cuisine. The staff is always pleasant and willing to help. Breakfast is simple but very filling. Its not a buffet spread but there are plenty of options to choose from. I will stay here in the future as well if I were to go to Bangkok again.
Close to perferction”
We stayed 3 nights at Citypoint. First time at this hotel but surely not the last. The hotel is fairly new, the rooms although not very big are well designed and you feel very at ease. The staff is really good, smiling, very helpful (they allow a late check-out at 15:00), breakfast is nice. The best location in Bangkok : 3 minutes from MRT, BTS stations at Asoke/Sukhumvit, another 30 seconds to Terminal 21 shopping mall!!. Perfect.
Citypoint Hotel ”
The hotel is located right next to both the BTS train line (Asok) and the MRT line (Sukhomvit), making is extremely convenient to get around Bangkok. It was good value for money, a big clean room, with a very comfortable bed and quiet aircon. OK breakfast (nothing special). Very friendly staff - they let me check in early as I arrived on an early flight. The only down point was that there was some construction work going on between 10am and 6pm, but as I was out most of the time I didn't notice. It was a good choice to stay here - I would stay at Citypoint Hotel again.
Location is the best”
We stayed at Citypoint just after the opening of the place for a long weekend. The hotel itself has nothing special but the location is awesome : you are only 1 min walk from Asok BTS / Sukhumvit MRT / Terminal 21 so it's really super convenient. Bonus, the hotel itself is not on the main street so it's really quiet (like no noise at all during the night). The room are standards, the bathroom / toilet has glass walls (to avoid if you care about privacy) but overall is quite good cause the hotel is brand new. Not sure if it will be the same after a few months / years. We will definitely comeback because of the location. If you're only looking for a place to sleep and not planning to spend much time in your room, then it's probably one of best location / value-for-money hotel in the neighbourhood.
What an extremely nice place!”
I have read reviews for 3 star hotels and thought: “you expect 5 star accommodations but only paid for 3 stars” therefore any review should be written and interpreted for what you have paid for or willing to pay. I have been to Thailand for about 17 previous time’s in the last 12 years (mostly in Bangkok) and for this specific stay I wanted a hotel near to the sky train as well as near the train coming from the airport and this was perfectly situated. Although a little tricky to find the hotel, we manage to get to it in a few minutes after disembarking the train, but you can arrange transfers or a taxi that would bring you to the door of the hotel. The hotel was clean and in crisp condition, no broken tiles or any defect. Staff were overwhelming friendly and want to try and help and please you where they can. Linen was brand new, so were everything else in the room and the hotel. Décor was smoothing and aircon worked perfectly. The bathroom excellent with a nice flow of constant hot water with glass and mirrors that helped gets the feeling of luxury. I have stayed in Bangkok before in 4 -4.5 star hotels and except for the additional 1-2 square meter in room size that these hotels provide, City point can easily compare to them for a cost far less. I will anytime recommend City Point to anyone, there is a shopping mall very close (at the sky train station. I did not have time to explore the other surrounding areas for entertainment and markets to be able to comment on this point. If this is not this far from my normal business I have in Bangkok I would have loved to stay here every time
Beats my last room at the Hilton in Dubai!”
The stay at this hotel was absolutely pleasant. Everything looked clean and new. It was a better place to stay than my last stay at the Hilton Hotel in Dubai, but way cheaper. I'll definely be stay at this hotel and avoid the overrated hotels. They always seem to disappoint me. At the Citypoint hotel the staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bathroom was spacious, everything worked, free wifi, free upgrade, quiet, but not far from all the action. More than what I expected from a 3 star hotel. Definetely a winner and a must-do-again.
Service, Location & Value. Did I mention Service?”
Even with the ongoing expansion construction at CityPoint Hotel, our stay met or exceeded all of our expectations. The location is great in terms of what is accessible including the BTS and airport trains. And the fact that it is tucked down a small alley makes for a quiet stay in a bustling city. The room was big enough for the two of us as was the king size bed. But the thing that will always stand out for me here was the friendly and helpful service. Everyone we encountered was great and made our stay a comfortable oasis every time we walked through the door. A big khop khoon na krap to the staff and management of the CityPoint!
A nice stay at this hotel”
Stayed 3 nights at the Citypoint Hotel in August 2016. Checking in was a breeze, the room i booked was a superior double room, very clean , spacious and quiet. The location is superb, very near to BTS and MRT staion, from these stations we can travel almost to any where in Bangkok city. A few shopping centre near by with plenty shops , supermarket and eating outlets. Loves to stay here again on my next trip to Bangkik
i really liked citypoint. i arrived in bangkok 5 hours before my friend on a separate flight and was happy to be dropped off at a nice modern hotel with friendly staff. the rooms are gorgeous and one of the only places i stayed in thailand with a full separate shower. the breakfast was included and not too bad, pretty good granola, and the staff were helpful in showing us how to get where we needed to go. the location was great right along the subway and skytrain and made getting around bangkok pretty easy. there is also a great shopping centre right across the street.
Very nice and warm hotel”
We checked in this hotel in September 2011 and found this hotel extremely a good one, especially for budget trip or backpackers. The hotel is with good value and it is very near to the BTS (Asok) & MRT (Sukhumvit) station. This is a new hotel and therefore the facilities are very nice. This is a budget hotel, so don't hope for bathtub and swimming pool. After all a nice stay at Citypoint! And with a nice massage place nearby- Urban Retreat, it's a well located hotel. Just lovely!
