Clarion Collection Hotel Principessa Isabella NOT a 4 star hotel - BUGS, Rude Staff
The entrance to the hotel and lobby are very nice and we were impressed. The man at the front desk was short, cold and rather rude to us. We needed directions and had a few questions. Although he answered our questions, he was very short and rude about it. In fact, each time we needed to ask questions, we felt as if we were bothering him. The directions he gave us each time were not concise, so we were always getting lost. The room was ok except for the beds. There were only bed spreads over sheets on the beds (not even a duvet with a cover). The bed spreads looked dirty and the seams of the mattresses were very dirty. The feeling was that this was not a clean hotel. We had asked for twin beds, due to I was travelling with a friend but they presented us with the twin beds pushed together. They stated they weren't told I requested twin beds. After a few hours they did separate the beds and that was ok. While I slept, I could feel myself being bitten up. By midnight, I jumped out of bed and looked in the mirror. My fact had 6 welts/bites and my neck had as well. It was disgusting! I don't know if these were bed bugs or mosquito or spider. I mentioned to the front desk man (same rude man) when I was checking out in the morning and he brushed me off saying I probably just had a mosquito in my bed! No apology or anything. In any case, I will not be coming back to this hotel ever.

good position not to far and not too close
Helpful staff and nicely done rooms
the hotel principessa isabella is a nicely appointed hotel in a district just a few steps beyond the locus for tourists, so it has the advantage of being quiet but still very close to many of the major attractions of rome. staff was nice and helpful. problems were the drain in the shower didn't work and so i had a flood in the bathroom by the time i finished my morning wash. this was just a glitch - i expect that if i had stayed more than one night it would have been fixed. internet access is available, but not free and not particularly cheap. 1 euro only buys 30 minutes of time, and 24 hours is 15 euros. breakfast was acceptable but not particularly interesting.

Noisy, no lift, unfriendly staff... not worth it
Balcony
Only one member of staff was friendly, the others were unhelpful. Was allocated a tiny room on the 5th floor, with a lift under construction which meant 102 stairs to climb or descend. Room is a mere 15m square but nicely decorated. Breakfast room in a tiny lobby with adjacent toilets. Food is simple and unappealing. Location is up the Veneto steet. Not much around there.

Decent hotel but a bit overpriced for what you got
Good location close to metro
Elevator was being replaced while we were there and we were on the 4th floor which entailed a lot of steps. Breakfast was good.

Standard triple?
Location was good
Room was not a standard triple room but a small single
Other than the room I recieved was not a triple, but a small single my stay at the "Tea" Hotel was acceptable. The location is close to the middle of Roma and there are several restuarants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. Not a bad place to stay, but I am sure there are better ones for the money.

Stylish Upstairs ordinary down.
Quality Rooms and fittings, excellent location, fair price, nicely decorated.
Reception and breakfast room are awful. WIFI Internet is only available in the reception area.
We stayed in this hotel exactly two years ago, nothing has changed. The rooms are excellent value with quality fittings and furniture, ceilings are a feature in each room. There is no seating in the reception area, luggage from departing and incoming guests strewed across floor unsecured. Breakfast is paltry, poor quality food in an unpleasant environment. Angry looking staff reminiscent of a Dickensian orphanage patrol the breakfast room which is located in a dungeon like basement only accessible via the sole creaking lift which services the entire 7 floors of the building and looks like a leftover from the Rocky Horror Show. The property is conveniently located to the Villa Borghese Gardens which are spectacular and a shopping tip for fashion and accessories is the La Rinascente store at piazza fiume a few hundred meters away. All the best brands are represented without the pain of Via Condotti. A really good shop. I was satisfied with the hotel because I had been there before and knew what to expect. Breakfast and WIFI are two real problems though.

Upgraded room, especially the bathroom was clean and elegant. Free continental breakfast, especially cappucino machine. Near the "Quick Step" area.
Hotel's reception hall needs to be upgraded. Suite room is quite small and no kitchenette.
Good locations for all transportations such as 10-15 min. walking to Berbeni metro stop and open bus / hop on-hop off bus, 15 min. to main train station (termini), and 5-10 min. to the city bus. Waling distance to US embassy and Via Veneto for shopping and restaurants.
