"Hotel Savoy is a simple hotel, nothing fancy but in comparison to the Mercure Paris Lafayette, I preferred it a lot more. It was cheaper, same comfortable bed (in my opinion) and larger room and bathroom for half the price! Clichy is not the safest area at night time, but it's what one can expect for lower hotel rates. It is a minute walk away from Mairie Clichy station, and with the Metro in Paris being so efficient, the distance from the centre was quite fast. They had no fan or aircon so it was a bit stuffy, I opened the window but a few mosquitoes came in. Other than that, enjoyed my stay there and will go again if need. "

"The first thing to mention is Marina on reception who went did everything she could to make sure our stay was a good she is a real credit to the company. The hotel itself is new and looks it and although we had a room by the lift it was very quiet and the soundproofing was excellent. Being in Clichy, it is a little way out of central Paris, but right on line 13 of the metro. The downside of this is that line 13 is also the busiest on the network and trains are often uncomfortably crowded. For those arriving on Eurostar, bus number 54 goes straight to the hotel from right outside Gare du Nord. I generally like Camponile hotels in France and appreciate their efforts to be energy efficient. However, the rooms only ever have limited tea, milk and coffee and trying to obtain more is met with resistance which is a shame when you spend hundreds of pounds with them. There’s an easy win to be had there very cheaply and it grates that they are happy to frustrate customers so casually. "

"We were upgraded as the air-conditioning in our room was not working. The room itself was very comfortable, however, missing was the refrigerator. The air con is centrally controlled so when we finally got air conditioning, it was turned off. There is no kettle in the room upon arrival, but we requested one, the staff were very obliging. Lara in reception speaks good English so that was a bonus. Downstairs there is a great free coffee lounge. Close to Cassino supermarket and some great little cafes. The hotel is very expensive compared to travelling in other countries, but it appears here in Paris, you don't get much for your money. Clichy itself is a long way from Paris via metro, that is why you would expect the price to be less, but this is not the case. Anyway, it was a pleasant stay but probably would not go back to this area in the future. "
