Good Hospitality & Sweet Environment”
We arrived rather late at approx 640pm and it was aldy dark. Doug was still patiently waiting for us and took us through everything we needed to know abt Clonmara cottages and Port fairy. He introduced the neighboring attractions and food places for our understanding. He even showed us to the cottage itself and explained how the fireplace works. Only in the morning, did we realise how beautiful and sweet the entire compound was. The fresh lavenders growing in front of each cottage and the generally well kept and lush vegetation all around was a sheer delight. Doug also sent an email to us a few days before arriving to remind us about the need to arrive early. While we were unfamiliar w the roads and did not expect the sky to darken so quickly and hence arrived late, we were nevertheless grateful to Doug for his hospitality and were well looked after in one of his cosy and pleasantly quaint cottages.

This is the best place I've stayed in this Aussie trip !”
I was doing the great southern turning route road trip with my sister and we came to the cottage to stay during the night in port fairy. Mr Douglas was so kind to give us a tour about our cottage and the port fairy city. The fireplace was nice and it was a very cozy room with the massage bath and even rubber ducks! We can see alpaca outside our room too! Overall it's the best place we have stayed in this trip, me and my sister truly loved it.

Great Location, Lovely rooms, lovely people”
I'm very happy to stay a night in Clonmara although I booked it last minute and arrived there in late night. There are few different rooms surrounding the garden. Very cottage feel and facilities in the room are good. small kitchen area, TV area and a queen size bed. I think it's a great stay for honeymoon !

This is our second time staying at Clonmara and again it was absolutely amazing! The Cottages and the surrounds are so beautiful and make for a really special stay. We loved the spa bath and the balcony overlooking the Llamas was so nice. Look forward to our next stay

Gorgeous cottages for a cozy stay”
Beautifully appointed cottages with comfortable bed, gorgeous large bathroom and very functional kitchenette. Set in gorgeous gardens complete with chooks and llamas. A perfect spot for relaxing after a day on the road and for exploring Port Fairy.

Best cottage ever!”
This place was amazing! Decently priced, this cottage offered everything, they even had Panadol with the coffee 😂 honestly, would recommend, especially as the spa bath and Epson's salts ready to go was so great and just what I needed. But my favourite part was when leaving, there was chickens outside. A sign of a good cottage for sure.

Dream like stay.. ”
It was dream like staying here! I chose this place to surprise my wife for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Even though it was for 1 night, it was warm & comfy. Owners: Steve & Anna had surprised us with Champagne & note on arrival. I wasn’t use to the self check in but it was great having the privacy of our own little cottage. Ps: Make sure you check out the chickens & Alpacas- there’ll be Alpaca feed in your room to feed them

Good Accomodation”
Nice big cottage with lovely bread and drinks and breakfast cereal all well provided upon check-in. Host Anna is very helpful as we arrived after dark and couldn't locate our cottage. When we called her over the phone, Anna even offered to come over to help as she is just staying across the road. Wonderful gesture.

Very good”
Room, decor, bed, kitchenette, bathroom and owners were very good. Road noise was not good and we were surprised we were placed in the cottage nearest the road considering we were there for 4 nights. However, location of property from town centre suited us. We enjoyed walking the 1km in and out of town. Tree fairy lights adjacent our bedroom were annoying because they shone in our eyes when in bed and did not turn off until after midnight. All else was excellent.

Cosy cottage in great location”
The cottages are situated in a rural setting but close to all attractions. The furnishings in the cottage were beautiful and the breakfast was superb. The owner even bakes his own bread in the early hours of the morning and our stay here was delightful.

Lovely country cottage feel”
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed. Owners go out of their way to make our stay feel comfortable. We stayed in the studio apartment. Set back so you hear no road noise. The room has a lovely spa bath and small veranda. Lovely glass of port and chocolates on arrival. Will definitely be back.

Quaint cottage”
The cottage was lovely and well appointed. Lovely, peaceful location with lots of animals to interact with, which was great. The chooks were cute. My only criticism would be that the grounds could do with a little maintenance, looked a bit neglected.

This property is lovely. Very well equipped with high quality soft furnishings. Fantastic spa bath. Cottages 4 and 5 are at the rear of the property away from the road. Loved feeding the alpacas. Short walk into the main town centre.

Charming little cottage”
We arrived late evening and the owner was very helpful, settled us in & gave us many good tips for restaurants in the area (we ended up at the Stag which was amazing). The cottage is very nice, very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, kitchen & overall tastefully decorated.

Magical!”
Charming cottage. The high ceiling within opens up the room. Well setup with a small balcony that looks out to the pasture where Alpacas and sheep are. Felt very at home.

A charming self-contained cottage in lovely garden”
Very pleasant few days - not far to the main street, with many lovely shops to browse, plenty of variety in restaurants, & many historic buildings scattered throughout the town. A great location for beaches, fishing, painting (we were with a group of artists, enjoying a reunion for the weekend), walking, observing wildlife, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere in this lovely country town. Owner Ruth is very friendly & obliging, & runs a lovely Tearoom serving breakfast & lunch, with an adjoining Gift Shop. The neighbouring paddocks are home to some very cute alpacas, quite a photogenic little herd! Cherry Plum cottage even had fruit trees in the garden - complete with blood plums in season, which the birds were happy to share!

Facilities and Location.”
I stayed mid week for one night between client visits. For a business traveler the location within the township was excellent as was the outlook from my cottage. The setting was peaceful and relaxing. The space was suited to both work and play with a tastefully decorated interior. I'll stay again.
