We extended a layover to spend an evening at the castle on our way home from a business trip. It was a wonderful, relaxing evening and a real treat before heading back to work. We made a lovely early morning walk of Bull’s Island nature preserve and the Knight’s Templar church yards before flying out. We look forward to our next stay.
great stay at Clontarf”
we had a wonderful experience at the Clontarf Castle. The staff was very accommodating and the rooms were very nice. The restaurants and bars options were great as well. Iwould definitely recommend staying here.
Beautiful hotel and great staff”
We just stayed the one night but wished we stayed more. Very photographic grounds and fantastic helpful staff. Lovely bar area and restaurant
we were looking for a castle stay for our last night in dublin and came across clontarf castle which seemed perfect, enroute to the airport, less than1 hr away from dublin city center which we were putting up. perhaps we were expectin too much but it turns out that only the lobby and its frontage were part of the original clontarf castle. the rooms were no different from any normal hotels but we were obviously paying higher rates thinking were were going to sleep in castle rooms. given a choice, i would have stuck to staying at the previous accomodation in the city. just our personal thoughts... it is however a nice place to bring yr date for dinner to.
The Clontarf Castle was a very nice hotel to stay in, the room was lovely, unfortunately the breakfast was extremely disappointing, was buffet style, was not hot, got our tea and coffee and end of breakfast and not very good selection.
