Amazing place”
We were the only people staying at Clouds Bungalow. We staid 2 nights and we felt king and queen. Shamalal was there for us, whatever we needed. We could say what we wanted for lunch and diner. They gave us tea, put the fireplace on. It was having our own private house which was amazing. Location is good as well, just outside centre of Haputale. haputale is a small and hectic town. The view in the garden is amazing...! Our room had a bath tub which was really nice..

Amazing place”
We were the only people staying at Clouds Bungalow. We staid 2 nights and we felt king and queen. Shamalal was there for us, whatever we needed. We could say what we wanted for lunch and diner. They gave us tea, put the fireplace on. It was having our own private house which was amazing. Location is good as well, just outside centre of Haputale. haputale is a small and hectic town. The view in the garden is amazing...! Our room had a bath tub which was really nice..

Delightful stay”
The bungalow is in a brilliant location on top of a small hill on the edge of Haputale and has a beautiful garden with amazing views. Shamalal took very good care of us and was very helpful in deciding where to go and what to do in Haputale. He has a tuk-tuk so he can drive you where you need to go or arrange an alternative if necessary. Rajah organised the meals, with plentiful and tasty food. We had a double room with and en-suite bathroom which was kept immaculately clean. There was no air conditioning and being on the ground floor we were reluctant to open the French window so it could get a bit stuffy at night (we ended up keeping our bedroom door open). Overall a very pleasant experience with lovely people looking after us.

Beautiful comfortable bungalow ”
Apart from one unfortunate incident which we discovered after we left, we had a great time at Clouds Bungalow. The Bungalow was very roomy and comfortable and very nicely decorated. Extra blankets would have been good as it was very cold that night. We were a party of 4 adults plus driver provided by our friend's company. I had asked our driver to stay in one of the 4 bedrooms but was told by the staff at the Bungalow that there was accommodation for him at a separate cottage. We were very annoyed to find out after we left that our driver had to sleep in the car as he found the accommodation provided to be dirty and very cold, to the extent that sleeping in the car was a better alternative. We had booked the Bungalow of 4 bedrooms as we had intended to put our driver in one of the bedrooms so we were quite irritated by what happened. One suggestion we have is that the Bungalow is not easy to find. A map on the website will be helpful, plus signs to the Bungalow at the turnoff point on the main road and a sign at the front gate together with the telephone number of the house to call if the gates are locked.

Best View of the whole region - Vue magnifique”
The biggest asset of this place is the spectacular and unique view point from the bungalow. You oversea the Haputale valley on one side, and on the other side the entire plains up to Udawale Park. THe garden is well tended, and offers really relaxing environment. THe place feels like home, clean and comfy. The only minus would be that there is no food service/ restaurant. But staff was super helpful to cook us a home made meal. La plus belle vue de la region qui s etend sur 2 vallees, jusque les plaines du parc de Udawale. A couper le souffle. Le bungalow est propre, confortable sans etre luxueux. Pas de restaurant, mais le staff a gentillement cuisiner pour nous un tres bon curry rice.

We had a wonderfultime in Clouds Holiday Bungalow. It’s a peaceful place. The food was absolutly deliciouse and the staff was very helpful. We can highly recommend this little place of earth.

Enjoyed 4 nights here. Day trips out by tuk tuk easily arranged, and competitively priced, to Lipton’s Seat, tea factory, Horton Plains, Ella. Also onward transport by van to Tissa via Uda Walawe. The room had a terrace overlooking a well- tended garden and fabulous view beyond - a beautiful place to relax. We ate at the property on 2 nights. Food was ok. All guests have access to a kitchen with microwave and fridge/freezer - very handy for a quick spot of self-catering. Deluxe room was quite simple and nothing flash by any means, but had all we needed. Staff - especially Shamalal - exceptionally helpful, hospitable, friendly and genuine.

Warm bungalow in the clouds”
The hospitality and warmth of the staff were wonderful. The location was in the clouds and it was wet and windy during our stay. That said, travellers at other times have commented on the beautiful gardens and amazing views.

Lovely place with superb view”
Unfortunately, we only stayed on night in this super nice place. The staff were sooo friendly and the home make food delicious. The view could not have been better and was stunning. There is a nice library with a fireplace and plenty to read and relax and one can enjoy the breakfast outside enjoying the view, if there is no clouds :-) A beautiful place and highly recommended

Amazing view and helpful friendly staff”
My friend and I stayed two nights and the view is above the clouds. The staff were friendly and helpful , food was good but little variety, room was not made up each day. Common room was comfortable. Gardens nice. But in all I think over priced
