love is hotel”
beautiful rooms and Breakfast with view of the Shwedagon so good to stay here
Comfort and convenience combined”
We have come to prefer Clover at Bahan for our many trips back to Yangon, as the price is right for longer stays, and all our basic requirements are covered. The staff are very friendly and responsive, and quite a bit of effort is put in to make sure the rooms and bathroom facilities are clean. The view of the Shwedagon Pagoda from the breakfast room always sets a calming tone to our day!
Always preferred for Yangon stays”
Have been staying here for just about every trip to Yangon in 6 years. Spotlessly clean; breakfast with view of the Shwedagon; rooms recently refreshed; excellent local restaurant a stone's throw away; very helpful staff. Synthetic sheets are a bit slippery
Very nice hotel”
Very nice modern hotel. Good staff, lovely swimming pool, nice rooms and a good buffet breakfast.
Cozy, clean, and friendly”
We stay at Clover for most of our visits home, as we do not want to put our family to the extra bother. Over time, Clover has become almost home-like, in the warm welcome all staff members present extend upon check-in, and in the responsiveness to our requests (for extra water, keeping the air-conditioning on while we are out of the room, and frying up fresh eggs and vegetables for breakfast on mornings that we arrive at the dining room with only minutes to spare before breakfast hours end). Clover at Wingabar is a good location to base yourself, to travel downtown or in other directions, with a trusted pool of private hire taxis there.
Super Close To The Pagoda”
Great place to stay if you're going to visit the pagoda. We left our bags here while we went sight seeing. Staff was hospitable and breakfast was nice.
Good Location & staff”
I stayed here all time , If I came to Myanmar. I like location of this hotel and reasonable prices. Happy to stay there :))
a Hotel with great location and friendly staffers ”
24 hours doorman and front desk staff are very helpful. Superior rooms are good size, low ceiling with short windows. Awesome breakfast with the view to ShweDaGone pagoda, Mont Hin Garr for breakfast was very delicious along with other foods but you have to go there early to catch the good foods. Once you get out of the elevator to the top floor restaurant, you will see a couple of staff sleeping on the table all the time. You will have to wake them up to give them your breakfast voucher or if something you need for your breakfast.
beautiful rooms and great mix of local and western breakfast with huge variety-don't miss it! beautiful view from the top as well where breakfast is served-you can see the Shwedagon and some of the city.
Stayed in superior room without pagoda view (my parents had room with pagoda view which was nice at night, but you get a better view from restaurant) as was busy attending to business and not in room most times anyway. Cheap rates (by comparison with other 3 star hotels in Yangon) but fantastic staff and service comparable to five star hotels I've stayed in in big cities. Limited parking but doorman ensured a space for my friend when she came to pick me up everyday and would stop traffic to ensure she could park or drive out safely. Very convenient location ( my parents who stayed same time as me would walk out early morning to the lake and pagodas). Quiet and safe too. Good breakfast and v clean room. Cheap convenient laundry service. Cant think of anything to grumble about!
Highly recommended to all except those expecting stars facilities! First the plus side. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, from doormen to reception to chambermaids ro restaurant staff. Breakfast though repetitive (I stayed 7 nights) is highly satisfactory considering it is included in the room price (which is highly reasonable for a 3 stars hotel). Both western and local asian food and fruits are available, with cold fruit juice milk hot coffee (expresso cappuccino latte, from machine) tea chocolate all available. to wash it down Dinner also available at reasonable price with a nice beer at just above usd1 per can to enjoy while looking out at the beautiful schwedagon pagoda night view. Location is quiet and convenient. Walking to kandawi lake and schwedagon pagoda is a breeze in the early morning (it gets bright at 530am) when its cool and there is little traffic. Getting taxis is easy and cheap and the doorman will get the cab and the price before you board. Very reasonable and cheap. The chambermaids did a very good job of cleaning every day. Going out for walks to the lake in the morning is nice, the doorman even kept a lookout for us when we were caught in the rain one morning while returning to the hotel from our walk and he sent two assistants running with umbrellas to cover my wife and I from the rain. (Very upset I could not say a proper thank you to him when I left as he apparently worked night shift until morning and was not around when we checked out at lunch time). The minor issues were the water pressure for the showerhead (it was weak for some reason though the wash basin tap pressure was ok) and the need to reset the main aircon switch each time i returned to the room (first time, called reception and they immediately sent up a bellboy to reset it immediately!) If I go back, I know where I will be staying again. Definitely Clover Hotel!
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and traveled with 5-month-old daughter. All staff help us a lot . Convenient hotel near the mall and Schwadagon pagoda just walked around 10 minute . I have a plan to go back there again.
Comfortable accommodation at very reasonable rates”
It's a gem of a place. In a city where hotels are rather expensive, Clover offers more than comfortable accommodation at very reasonable rates. Location is great, being not too far from the city center and close to tourist attractions. The staff are very helpful and non-discriminating, as in many hotels, the staff are inclined to tend to foreign guests first even if the local guest was there first. But it is not the case here and, as a local, that was greatly appreciated. The breakfast was good but better still was the view from the breakfast room. Highly recommendable hotel for those seeking comfort at affordable rates.
love this place”
we've stayed 3 times now and it is very professional and beautiful large rooms for a very reasonable price comparatively with a gorgeous view at breakfast on the top floor looking out to the shwedagon pagoda and city
Friendly staff with professional services ”
The hotel is well-located in the city centre but far away from the supermarket. The room is big and clean with everything we needed. The staff are very friendly and provided useful information, even provides breakfast for us earlier (6:30am) because we had an early flight on the day we checkout.
Good Location, Friendly Staff, Great Value!”
We are repeat customers mainly because of Clover's location (we stayat the Wingabar Road Clover), its friendly and helpful staff, and an overall dedication to be of service to visitors. The splendid view of the Shwedagon from the rooftop restaurant never fails to set the tone for the day. The breakfast buffet now offers more choices for Western and Asian visitors - I was pleasantly surprised to find bacon and croissants on offer this time round. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great location, helpful staff”
Good value- basic but clean & good location. You could walk to Swedagon Pagoda and take short taxi rides to other attractions. The staff is very helpful. Arranged taxi service and packed breakfast for my early morning flight. Thanks!
First time staying, definitely coming back for great service!”
Thank you very much for your amazing service to everyone (from front securities, doormen, front desk manager and staff and house keepings. The restaurant on the rooftop is great and it serves Mont Hin Gar (catfish chowder soup) every morning with variety of Chinese, local foods, pastries and very few selections of fruits. Not a big deal but my recommendation to the restaurant staff not to sleep at the welcome desk right by the elevator at the restaurant during breakfast hours.. we always have more room to improve.. right!
we especially enjoyed the rooftop restaurant in view of the city and Shwedagon. We had a large room with a sitting area in front and tons of desk space which is great with little ones! Very affordable and well worth the stay! We would stay here again.
Cozy, convenient, comfortable”
Clover has a niche following among repeat visitors to Yangon who need a clean and comfortable place in a convenient location (the latter is important because of the oft unpredictable traffic snarls all over town, especially when it rains) at a reasonable price. The rooftop restaurant - where we get breakfast every day - is cozy, with a dazzling view of the Shwedagon that never fails to fascinate first-timers or repeat visitors alike. I was pleasantly surprised with some additions to the breakfast buffet for my recent visit: - there was hot rice porridge and Japanese-style soup on offer daily, an important staple for Asian visitors. I hope the bread and pastry selection could be improved for the Westerners' choice - right now, it's mostly just your basic white bread (which isn't too bad when toasted properly), although some days had local approximations of Danish pastries.
