Nice hotel but expansive ”
You got everything you need. Nice welcoming comfy room (one small issue the queen size bed was two single bed side by side. At this price you could expect better) People are nice, breakfast and restaurant very good, it’s quiet at night. Easy to get a taxi to go more in town, there I a nice park you can walk to. So nice place, but I think to expansive
Nice quiet modern hotel near Schwedagon”
This hotel is primarily a serviced apartment, but has several rooms for shorter stays on the 5th floor. The hotel is new, clean, and has a good gym and a rooftop pool. Breakfast is mostly Asian but with a large variety of hot dishes, as well as yogurt and fruit. Best of all for a business travel, they have free laundry machines available - so it won't cost you $15 to have your underwear and jeans washed!
clean but noisy”
Stayed here several times over the past 2 years: Pros; relatively good location, relatively new and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful front desk staff Cons. Rooms doors are very thin and one can hear all noises in hallways, …and most of all, cleaning staff operate in gangs of 3 or 4 in a extremely noisy manner, shouting to one an other from opposite sides of the hallways, talking & joking constantly in a very loud manner (not isolated incident, happened to me each and every day at different times from early am to pm despite my numerous interventions); Internet slow. Tiles in the rooms slippery when wet. Breakfast &restaurant far from great; they have a wonderful new Italian espresso machine but refuse to use it, even if you offer to pay (they says it is working but that they will not operate it and do not want to say why) , they serve you sub standard coffee instead. Price of rooms has gone up but service is degrading
I stayed her twice during my trip to Myanmar - when I first arrived and again before I left. The wifi is ok, not great (but that is the case for most of my trip). The breakfast was ok but the spread is limited compared to other higher tourist areas. The bed and pillows are comfortable. There is hot water to shower. The rooftop pool is the highlight. Great to lounge in or in one of the chairs nearby. The location allows to walk to Shwedagon Pagoda along with a few others close by. It’s approx 2400kt ($2USD) to take a taxi downtown. Two days is all you need to have some time to enjoy the pool while seeing the highlights of Yangon. I like that they gave two 1litre bottles of water (more than other hotels)
Great value hotel”
We enjoyed our stay here. Good location near to lake and famous pagodas. The staff were brilliant and many thanks to Mika at reception. The breakfast was good but there are not many restaurants near by
Calm atmosphere at the heart of Yangon”
Location is a bit not comfortable since it's just 1.5 Km. to Shwedagon Pagoda but a bit hard to find some restaurants, supermarket or even convenient store. Staffs are very kind and friendly. Room is big. Boring choices of breakfast. Excellent wifi. Swimming pool and gym are very nice. Not much taxi-driver know this place so remember to bring the hotel's business card or map to show them.
we only had two nights in Yangon,so this place was ideal for us”
If you want to visit the large temple, this place is ideal. It's a 10 minute walk to the temple. The room was basic but clean and tidy. The staff were extremely helpful. We wanted some water very late at night, and they helped us out.Breakfast was not a lot of selection.
Nice Boutique Hotel”
It's very value for money. Cheap but the room was clean and nice. Felt very cozy when staying. The staffs were very helpful as we got our luggage delay and they helped us to follow up with the airline.
Good value in Yangon”
Yangon is still emerging in the tourist service business and this hotel is definitely stepping up to meet the challenge. Some little things are a bit unusual to a regular traveller, but the hotel does a very good job and is good value for money in Yangon. Its a little out of the way but taxi is relatively cheap so not a problem. This hotel is a classic example of the contrasts in Yangon between good value and not good value. Some places , hotels and eateries are very expensive and not value, this place is the former, its good value. I would stay again.
Great staff, clean and comfy rooms”
The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. The room was small and standard but clean. The only negative is that the rooms were not very quiet. You could hear your neighbors and the outside. The breakfast was nice, but it would have been better if they had some more western food options. We stayed a week and it was hard to eat the fried food all the time. The shower didn't drain well either. Other than that, great.
New Hotel, Huge Rooms, Friendly Staffs”
First, don't get confuse. There are 2 Clovers in Yangon. 1st is Clover Hotel and 2nd is Clover Suites. Both are located in Bahan area. Good Things about Clover Suites: 1. It is NEW! 2. There's a roof top pool and a gym which has a nice view of Schwedagon Pagoda. 3. Cheap and good food in restaurant located at level 5 (suitable for Asians - around 1,500 to 3,500 kyat or $1-$3 USD). They're selling local beer (Myanmar Beer) and Tiger Beer for only 2,500 Kyat (around $2 USD). They have wine as well for 18,000 kyat (around $14 USD per bottle) 4. Clean and Huge Rooms. Complimentary items are water bottle, 3in1 coffee, disposable toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, body foam wash and a hair cap. Rooms have safe box, blower, water heater and 2 type of shower but no tub. They're using Plug Type G power sockets. TV channel also has a lot to choose from. 5. Staffs can speak English! You just have to consider and understand their accent. They are all very friendly as well and they will try their best to communicate. 6. Around 15 mins walk to Schwedagon Pagoda. 7. Great Wifi service. It was fast! Bad Things about Clover Suites: 1. Doors of the hotel are not anti-sound proof so you can hear the loud noises from the hallway which is quiet annoying. 2. There no other restaurants or any conviniece store nearby. You have to walk around 15 mins just to reach the nearest store.
Newbie suite room with nice rooftop view of Yangon”
Only 1 night stay, nothing much to complain. Location is a bit confuse at first time and seems many taxi drivers don't know this place much but anyway, this place is close to Japan, Germany Embassy and some international business hub. Might suit for business traveler i guess. 1.5 Kilometres to Shwedagon Pagoda and just a few footsteps to face the beautiful Kandawgyi Lake. Not much restaurants or convenient store founded, just a little grocery stall at opposite site of this hotel. Good breakfast but would be great if there has more choices. Nice view at 5th floor rooftop for Shwedagon Pagoda with landscape plus the premium gym equipment and relaxed swimming pool. Room is functional and very clean, comfy bed and pillow also :) Staffs are very attentive and willing to help you anything you need. Overall of my stay is quite impress and will recommend to my companies especially business purpose traveler.
The rooms [while relatively new and modern] are disappointing in terms of their design [small windows, not much light, odd decor] and are very small for the price band. There is a need for a F&B [food and beverage] with international experience as the restaurant experience is well below par. Breakfast is a big disappointment, with no real coffee [only instant], even though they have the espresso machine, which doesn't work. The cuisine at breakfast is ok if you eat local cooked food [ I do] at breakfast, but even then the buffet was cold cooked food and very uninspiring, and the cooked omelette requested was not well cooked at all. In short, it needs an F&B overhaul. The pool area also seems neglected and there is little attention to operating at the kind of level required for these hotel prices. On the positive side, the staff are lovely and helpful, although possibly not well trained on the F&B side. Sorry to not be so positive, I had high hopes.
Good clean modern hotel”
Staff very helpful but English seriously lacking. Rooms nice, clean, and very comfortable. Gym good and nice pool. Breakfast mostly Asian.
Small but good ”
Large rooms , breakfast is served on roof top and the pool is on roof top too . New hotel and convenient for people looking for decent hotel near Yuzana market
Clean and Value for Money”
I stayed there 3 nights and find that the staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful even though they dont speake English. However the rooms are not sound proof. You can hear TV in other rooms.. if you are lucky and dont have anyone living next door then its peaceful. Option for buffett is not bad considering the standard of this hotel please dont expect 5 star lavish buffett but no options for pure veggies.. if you are an eggitarian then you are good. Pool is amazing. Lift sensors are very sensitive, atleast I couldnt press the buttons and had to call for help all the time. Location is good. 15 min walk to Swedogon Pagoda and 10 min by taxi to the center like Bogyoke Market, China Town etc. I was very happy to stay there!
Value for money hotel at the great location ”
This is a Value for money hotel at the great location. It is quite close to Shwedagon pagoda. They have a swimming pool at 5th floor and you can see a nice view of Shwedagon pagoda. Staffs are friendly and willing to help. Improvements are done when pointed out. Such as, house keeping girls speak loudly and we commented about this to reception. No more loud talking for our remaining stay. Fantastic!!! They even extend our check out time until 2pm for free of charge as I was sick. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to visit Yangon.
Quite expensive for the quality ”
The room was quite big, but the bed was not super comfortable and neither was the bathroom. I did't have warm water for 2 days.... And breakfast is honestly not super good (and coffee really disgusting). However the gym is nice and the pool as well. The location is not super convenient though.
We spent just one night here as it was our last night in Yangon; we could check in a bit earlier, the room was ready nice and clean, the pool is a huge pleasure in the hot weather. The staff is really nice, kind , helpful and polite ; we got a great service! I would recommend to make a bigger selection on the beverages and during breakfast time top up the food more often. I would highly recommend this hotel!
It is what it is”
We were slightly disappointed with the hotel, but some of that is our own fault. The room was small (Clover "Suites"), but it was as advertised at 25sq.mt. The photos were slightly misleading, as the laundry and kitchenette are in a shared facility, not en suite. Another shortcoming is that the bar closes at 10pm (but then, by 10 we might be the only people there). But the staff are charming and very helpful, the hotel is clean, and they were kind enough to upgrade our friend's room so she would be near to us.
