Family of 4 (couple with our 2 teens) 3-5 Nov 2023 Family room with loft Room: we booked thru agoda the Superior bedroom but we were told prior our checkin that we will be staying at 2nd floor with no elevator and a bit of a long walk to the pools as it is near the main gate. Since my husband is PWD, i requested for a room transfer with an upgrade that will not cost too much. we were transferred to the newer hotel building, the one closer to the main pool. And yes it has an elevator. We stayed at the Family room with loft (Sampaloc) which is big enough for a family of 4 adults. It has 1 queen bed and a daybed at the 1st floor where the mini kitchen is, and another 2 queen beds at the loft. The queen beds are kinda hard/firm for me because i suffer from backpain so i prefer a softer bed, which fortunately the daybed is, so thats where i slept. Pillows are ok with 2 per bed. Although it has no balcony, our room has big windows with a great view of the taal lake and the volcano on the left side, and the front window faces the main pool which is the best for us so we could easily check on our kids (teens) while they swim. The minikitchen has the stuff you can use to eat with, a coffee maker, which comes with free bigsized coffee packs that is really good, no microwave but has standard sized ref. The bathroom looks like its kept clean, with free toiletries, with hot/cold shower, bidet but no hairdryer. Minor issues: no phone in the room so it's hard to call for room service. Housekeeping starts at 3pm so you will have to wait for cleaning and replenishing of stocks. Parking: not a problem because the resort is so big, it has plenty of spaces to park in. We parked just in front of our building. Getting around: there are e-carts to take you to where you want to go. You just have to tell the front desk or the waiters at the restos to call one for you. The carts only service up to 8pm (we were told) so you either go on foot after that or bring ur car when u

This was our second stay at Club Balai Isabel, and while we enjoyed our time, I have to say that the experience was very different from our first stay in The Residences. The Residences are much bigger and far more convenient because they’re like a fully furnished house—you can cook there, which is a huge plus for families or groups. It had everything we needed: a microwave, stove, plates, and other basic essentials. This time, we stayed in a regular hotel room, and it didn’t have those same amenities. No microwave, no stove, and not even plates, so if you’re planning on preparing meals or want that extra space, The Residences are definitely the better choice. The hotel rooms are comfortable, but for the price, The Residences offer a much more complete experience. If you’re planning to stay, I highly recommend booking The Residences instead.

They have a list of items to be provided and there were missing drinking bottles that should have been provided, and the attendant provided them right away. Staff are attentive and polite. Maybe they can add a guide on how to use the TV because the internet won't connect to it. We just let it be because we have our portable data. The facilities are clean and the pool has the right temperature. Maybe add more sheds to the tables next to the pool in case it rains. The location is great and there are nearby convenience stores and plenty of ATMs around. We should have stayed longer. We really love the place!
