Great base if you want to be in the City. For the money the rooms are good value but quite small. If you just want somewhere to sleep and wash then it's great. If you want to spend time in the room it's ok, just quite small.
Basic accommodation at a decent price ”
The hotel offers no frill basic facilities. But the important criteria for me like cleanliness, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer were all met. M&S, Boots, Pret a Manger were 5 minutes walk away so it was very convenient. Tube station was 7 minutes walk
Good location, clean rooms ”
Location was good. 5-8mins to bank station which is the Central line and brings you to most of the top visited places in London. Shops selling food also littered around the location. Slightly pricey though
Good but not so convenient for tourists”
Location is good for people on business trips but not so for tourists. The pavement outside is quite narrow and busy with people rushing about. There are pubs and a good Indian restaurant nearby. Staff was helpful. Stayed in a triple room which was equipped with microwave oven and fridge. Thank God, room was airconditioned as London was terribly hot this summer. Overall a good and safe place to stay. Took a long time to reach places of interest due to heavy traffic though.
Room quite small , and very close to another room which created more noise than normal . ”
More set up for business people , but comfortable enough
The hotel is in the heart of the financial district, about 2 blocks from Bank and Monument Tube stations. Many of the shops and restaurants nearby are closed on weekends. The hotel provides many amenities like free snacks and wine, filtered bottled water, and a coffee machine. Room was spacious but the bed was worn and sagging, and the linens had holes in them.
affordable hotel near london bridge ”
location is in the middle of 2 tube stations (5-8mins) and liverpool st station (10mins walk). right opposite the hotel has meals options including breakfast. the lounge at the lobby is a very nice gesture and wine is served between 5-6pm. the water refill at each level was also very convenient for travelers. room size is considered big for the price paid except toilet is a bit small. however, this club quarter is not as centrally located as its other branches. wouldn't mind staying again for my future London visits!
Excellent value for money choice in the City of London!”
Minutes walk from most of the major landmarks in the area, and also hidden bars and pubs in the alleyway. The hotel offers refreshments that change three times a day, which makes it extremely pleasant for business travellers. Would definitely consider staying here for future trips.
Located near amenities such as the supermarket and several restaurants. 10 mins walk to Bank station, which is the Central line that brings you to many of the attractions in London if you have time to spare for visiting. Room was nicely furbished and clean. The complimentary bar counter in the lobby adds a nice touch to the stay.
Location was good
Loved the Place, but Breakfast was Lame ”
The staff were fantastic and proximity to the tube was excellent. Be warned, this area is very sleepy on weekend days. Most shops are closed and the pubs/restaurants that are open close early. The room was excellent and spacious. The only compliant was the breakfast. Cereal bars?!?!
Great location, facilities and location at an affordable price. The staff were great..”
Great location, facilities and location at an affordable price. The staff were great. The rooms were very clean. The lounge at the entry was a great place to relax with free coffee, tea, other drinks and snacks. The location was excellent, being only a 10 minute walk to the Tower of London. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again if in London.
Good but can be better”
Happy to secure this place at the last minute at decent price. It is pretty close to metro station but this is CBD area so you will see massive working crowd on weekdays. Not so pleasant if you are on holiday mood. Perhaps closer to touristy areas such as covent garden is better. Need to change train from airport. Staff wise pretty friendly. Room wise pretty decent but a little outdated and tired looking. Should put effort to brighten up the room. All in all it is fine but i will look for other choices for my next trip.
Easy access to various locations, good price and great location
Great location for a quick trip to London ”
The hotel is located in the business district between bank and monument. This makes it easy to get around on the tube, but it’s very busy during the week and a dead on weekends. Nothing is open on weekends Hotel rooms are comfortable with fridge and microwave. Staff are generally helpful besides one Asian lady, manager I assume. She’s rude and blunt. Shouldn’t be in hospitality. Otherwise great stay!!
Beautiful hotel with great complementaries. Convenient location, friendly staff, spacious room, and great value. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is the bathroom was TINY. Similar to that of an airport bathroom. Considering how spacious the room was, I was shocked at how small the bathroom was. Regardless, would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
nicer room than I'd expected”
Comfortable, nice room. Smelled a wee bit like someone had smoked in there before we arrived, but we were still very pleased. Everything is right outside the door or within easy walking distance. Close enough to Bank Underground station to allow us to avoid a cab ride. Staff let us leave our luggage there after checkout, which allowed us to enjoy a walk to St. Paul's and a pub for lunch before leaving London. A really good find for something in the heart of the financial district. Thumbs up.
Great location, with a selection of mainline train stations and underground services close at hand”
The welcome was friendly, the room spotlessly clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is well positioned with a selection of bars and restaurants close by. Ideally located for the City of London, Barbican Centre, Museum of London, Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral and it's only a stroll over London Bridge to Borough Market with access to the South Bank, as well as being only a No 15 bus ride to Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square.
Great location, perfect room ”
Friendly staff, check out lines were a bit mad. I had a lovely stay, quiet room, close to a lot of pubs and restaurants and tube stops. Very easy to navigate London from. They also let me check in early and waived the early check in fee which was nice since I took a red eye and arrived around 11am and really needed a nap!
Great location, perfect room”
The hotel was in a perfect location, close to a few tube stops and even walkable to lots of fun pubs and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. The check-in and check-out process was a little mad, seemed to be long queues for each. This reservation was to add an additional night to my stay without paying full price, so I booked again through Agoda. The room type I selected was the exact same, however I ended up having to pay 10 additional pounds to stay in the same room. I also had to insist they keep me in the same room. I had to repeat "surely it's not necessary for me to change rooms." Another traveler did the same and packed up her stuff and had them move to the new room, that might have been a better option!!
