Front beach was not well cleaned. Resort is isolated with no nearby bar or go-to place to drink
Front beach was not well cleaned. Resort is isolated with no You need to ride a trike to buy food or drinks. Not much to do in the resort. But their accomodation is very nice.

A bit overrated, not going back
ocean view, ocean view & ocean view
Rooms are decent size but the comfort room space is a bit tight, can't swim in the front ocean since it's quite rocky, don't order the danggit it's way too salty.

let down
the dive shop, food, cabanas
There is only wifi at the reception area. The room was really out of date. We didn't have hot water for 2 days and on the 3 day no water at all. The beach was really dirty. The staff seem to have no clue of anything. Upon trying to call them for a car to pick us up we could not get a hold of anyone, only one of the numbers even worked. The only positives I would say was the dive shop to book tours and the snorkeling, food. However, the food was over priced. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

take your own drinking water, coffee.
Quiet. location. location.
This place would be so much nicer if they weren't trying to squeeze every possible peso from their guests. In most 3 star hotels you come to expect certain things to be complimentary such as a small amount of drinking water and a morning coffee. Not so here.There was no price on the bar fridge for drinking water.So we assumed it as free, only to be charged 120 pesos on check out for an amount of water you could buy at Gaisano for about 30. Also menu prices seem reasonable until they add the tax after. Most other resorts and hotels I have stayed in at Cebu already include the taxes in their price list. Also the servings are very small and side dishes like rice that you would expect to come with a Filipino meal are extra again. There are places that are just as nice at Panagsama and You will be gouged less.

Activities guide
The best thing about Club Serena is the activities guide, Kuya Joker. He was absolutely fantastic, he puts in a lot of effort, makes sure everyone is safe & having fun & doesn't rush you. The staff are friendly & the manager was very welcoming. The resto prices are a little on the high side but not over the top. It's literally on the beach, although it's a bit rocky & shallow to walk out, so try further down the beach to enter the water. The pool is clean & enjoyable & there are some cabanas you can relax in & look out over the ocean. The rooms are very clean but they're showing their age with broken bathroom parts, damaged walls, burned-in TV etc. No major issues but noticeable wear & tear. Comfortable beds; lots of pillows & covers. A nice selection of lighting & many power sockets. The mermaid room wasn't as impressive as I was expecting. The outside shower/bath is a little awkward & seems pointless since the walls are so high & the glass is mirrored, so you can't really see much outside. You have to clean it whenever you want to use it because there are so many birds pooping there, dropping twigs, seeds etc. If you leave clothes or toiletries, they will be pooped on. The idea of the open bathroom sounds nice but in reality it just sucks. We waited around an hour for check-in because they had to clean the room. This seemed a little ironic because they have a rule about charging guests per hour for staying beyond the check-out time :P The TV is prepaid & it ran out. They did reload it for us but it took a long time to get through to reception & then wait for it to start working again. Other times we went to reception to try get a trike to town, there was no one there & even after knocking on the doors & ringing the bell for 15-20 minutes, no one would turn up. We had a slight argument during checkout over tax being added to an activity price that already included the tax. The leaflet says 4k but the bill was 4480. Eventually the bill was amended to 4k.

elegantly furnished rooms and comfortable beddings
privacy, luxury and serenity
the pool is great; room interior is cozy and elegant; staff is approachable; cabanas are relaxing with great view of the beach; privacy is well kept as the resort has limited guests only; tranquility is achieved with its serene atmosphere.

modern and classy hotel
amenities, nice cabana, serene atmosphere
tranquility is achieved in the place since it's a bit isolated with limited guests. the hotel amenities are modern and has a sophisticated feel of a luxurious staycation. cabanas are relaxing and ambiance makes you feel stress-free. the beach however is a bit undesirable because of limestones and moss. white sand at the seashore is fine though. overall, it has been a great experience.
