    Exceptional”

We arrived few hours earlier to Coco Bay, and could occupy the room immediatelly. Albertina, the host was warm welcoming, gave us some tips at the arrival, organized taxi from and to the ferry, also managed car rental for us. Room was big and fine for two. Albertina performed full cleaning every day not only in the shared spaces but in the private rooms as well. There’s safe locker and plenty of space to store your stuff. The garden is super maintained, there’s a handy/gardner guy taking car of it. Also a big terrace is available to spend your breakfast/dinner in to the exotic garden. Wifi was very good, not only under the pergola, but in our room as well. It’s 3 min walk from the beach where local guys are selling relatively cheep excursions. 5-10 min from shops, restaurants. 5 min from bus stop. We would definatelly come back to Coco Bay! Albertina was an exeptional host, maybe the best we’ve ever met.

    Uncomfy stay”

Pros: location, nice garden. Cons : Bungalow : isolated in the very back of the property behind the main house, felt like being in an ex-garage, lots of humidity on walls and decrepit roof, mosquitoes due to holes in netted windows, no aircon, basic comfort (bed, fridge, small dishes, 2 fans, one sink, one toilet, one ok shower). Avoid if allergic to dust/humidity. No wifi in bungalow, but in shared area. Overall, cannot recommend this bungalow for couples. Maybe backpacker style trip on budget. Although staff is friendly, value for money is not met. And btw, not much take away food in the area, only one truck which sells overpriced food (80 rupees compared to average 50-60 rupees for La digue and mahe).

    Above average”

The rooms are old and need refurbishment. When entering, the characteristic smell of the "old house" rises. Equipment is a collection of everything that was at hand. Toilet and perch separated from the room wall so all the smells pass into the room. Air-conditioning is only available from 18:00 to 9:00! About 500m from the beach.

Avoid - the owner is a horrible person and a fraud”

We booked a bungalow, which was more expensive than room. When we arrived the horrible owner (described by locals as a 'very problematic lady') told us that she gave our bungalow to somebody else (we paid for it in advance) and if we're not ok about it, we can spend the night at the beach. She also told: we'll see about the next days (we paid for 4 nights). Of course we didn't get it. She was very rude and we didn't get what we paid for. That was our worst experience in whole Scheyshelles.

    Good budget option.”

Praslin is expensive and this place represents good value. It is very simple and rustic, in a big pretty garden with the natural nearby appearance of insects and lizards, has a good amount of space and many thoughtful touches. No air conditioning but the two fans were sufficient for us, Wifi only in the front pavilion but it worked fine, no breakfast option but has a fridge and a nice big communal kitchen for cooking and is a short walk to stores and eating places as well as the beach and bus stop. Our bed was a smaller double, not a queen, we are medium-sized and just fit, larger or taller people might have trouble. The owner is wonderfully friendly, she answered all our questions, helped us arrange a last minute boat trip and even gave us a lift to the starting point. Her helpers are lovely too. Highly recommended for those on a budget with realistic expectations!

Amazing place, excellent location and great staff!”

They welcomed us before the check in time with a cold wet towel (trust me, you will need it). Our room was perfect, had a fridge, kettle, safe box and mosquito net above the bed. Outside was a pergola where you had good wifi (signal reached the room), also a livingroom and fully equiped kitchen. The owner let us leave our bags the last day and even use the room to take a shower way after the check out. Really helpful! The hotel is a couple minutes walk to the beach and bus stop. Also near mini market and places to eat.

Perfect stay in Cote D'Or (Praslin)”

We had a pleasant stay here. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff here is very helpful. Jeanne arranged for us everything we asked her to (tours, taxis, etc). There are some good restaurants in 5 minutes walk from the property. The house is very close to Anse Volbert and to Cote D'Or bus station. Using the bus to move around the island was very convenient for us.

    Very nice Guesthouse ”

The guesthouse is very nice and clean. Also the stuff is very friendly and welcoming. We had a standard room, because in the bungalow the toilet is not really separated from the rest of the room. The only weird thing is that you are told, that you are just allowed to use the airport from 6pm to 9am and you will be told again if you use the aircon out of these times.

Big room with aircon, good clean bathroom and a well equipped communal kitchen. The garden is lovely and there is a cozy patio where you can dine and relax. Owner Jeanne is very sweet and helpful. The internet is somewhat slow, but that is everywhere on the island. And who needs internet anyway, when you have such a gorgeous beach at only a five minute walk! Stayed three nights, could have stayed a week.

    really nice hostel”

Coco Bay Villa in Anse Volbert is a very nice hostel in a blooming tropical garden away from the village of Volbert, just 2 minutes from the beach and few hundred meters to the bank and shops of the place, where one receives everything needed as a tourist. The rooms are well furnished, also with fridge and fan, and are daily very thoroughly cleaned. The beautiful beach in Volbert however is very flat and wave-free, hence ideal for families with small children. By bus (twenty times a day) you can reach the last stop at Boudin in only 10 minutes, from there you arrive walking through a dark and cool jungle in few minutes the dreamlike amazing beach Anse Lazio with crystal clear water. The beaches of the island Praslin are completely undercrowded, in Volbert there are no more than twelve tourists per kilometer beach and each one his own cookie. Despite intensive search nowhere beach mosquitoes or other bugs were found (like in travel guides threatened). Don't miss a boat trip to the small island of St. Pierre (about 15 EU), in order to snorkel there, the water however is very salty. Because of the nocturnal dog barking on the island Praslin (it is mating season!) you can bring Oropax. Most of the guests in the Coco Bay Villa are very satisfied with this really nice hostel, negative reviews in the internet are subjective exaggerations. Also making contact to other guests from all over the world is easily possible. Who will be disturbed by some ants (it is their home country) should rather go to Greenland than in the tropics. For me, the Coco Bay Villa was the very best place in Praslin, where one can also spend the whole day: no need to go anywhere else. Dr. Manfred Rentel Berlin-Charlottenburg

    location, value for money, c;ean

In whole we liked it. Clean, good location esp. for stay with small children as the beach is not deep. All commodities for cooking. We don't really like intrusive service. we always felt like we are guilty in something but there was nothing for. So due to the hostess we felt not comfortable there. But in whole it was ok stay.

Staying at Coco Bay villa, feeling like at home”

nice stuff, close to the beach, quiet surroundings

I have spent 10 days on Seychelles islands and Coco Bay villa was the best accommodation I had. It's a nice small house with 3 rooms (each having own bathroom) and living room with kitchen where guest can prepare food and chat. Outside is a spacious terrace surrounded with beautiful gardens where are 2 bungalows. The rooms are big enough as well as the bathrooms, it's very clean and well kept. The villa is good positioned, in a quiet surroundings where local people live, the beach is very near just across the street as well nearby is the bus station, shops and restaurants. The owner Edith and house keeper Patricia are taking care well of the villa and are very friendly and helpful. I loved them very much. Praslin island is good place to have relaxed vacation, there is no crowd and night clubs, evenings are very quiet. The local beach is big and clean but around the island there are many of them to visit as well as national park with amazing nature and waterfall. Staying in the guest house like Coco Bay is a good choice, very economic and a chance to be close to local people, to meet them and get know about their culture and life style. It's a unique experience not possible to get staying at 5 stars hotels. I recommend Coco Bay villa for the tourist looking the place to feel like at home.

    Clean but bedraggled ”

Kind host, generally clean, but the furniture and the whole bungalow was bedraggled, not worth the money. Bad shower, uncomfortable bed and the kitchenplace was a joke and really bad equipped. If the price were lower, like 35eur, I wouldn't rate it that bad, but when you see the pictures and that money, you expect sth. different! You can get much better guesthouses for that amount of money on the Seychelles (at least on la digue and mahé we had much better ones!).

Valuable! 7 mins to bus stop (Cote Dor)! ”

    1. it offers mosquito net, kettle, fridge, kitchen, frwifi 8:00am~21:00pm, air conditioner time: 18:00pm~9:00am 2. i borrowed a basin to wash my clothes, it offered a big RACK & clothes pegs to dry washing clothes! they also offers laundry service is SCR100 expensive! 3. I took bus(to "Anse Boudin" on the bus LED board) from Praslin airport stop to "Cote Dor" bus stop, which is the nearest stop to "Coco bay Villa", after you get off bus, just go back/rear direction then turn right into a very narrow/small alley, then go straight until the end, you will find "COCO BAY VILLA " on your right side. or YOU GET OFF , YOU will find a big restaurant called "La Goulue Restaurant", then you will find a board show you "coco bay villa" direction! i was taking a big luggage about 28 inches and a handy bag with me, i was polite to ask bus driver if let me get on bus with 1 luggage ? then, bus driver told me that i could! 4. No.2 ROOM is wonderful! i could connect WI-FI at my private garden.
