Rooms are beautiful and staff is lovely. ”
We enjoyed our stay but there are few things we wish we knew before booking: most rooms are on the hills so make sure you can walk stairs or ask for rooms down hills. Pool is not that nice like in photo, low level water. No chairs or umbrellas on the beach. Beach has lots of dry corals hard to walk on. You can not wear bikinis in restaurant even it’s beach front. Lots of mosquitoes of course so be prepared. Cocktails need improvement mostly frozen or super sweet with cordial. Need to pay for small boat to get there and back and the price is depends on negotiation with the boatman. We got a boat he agreed with 300peso but when we get there he said 700 because he was helping carrying the luggage??? I said no and gave him exactly 300 because I know it is already more than enough for the trip. He was not happy and it almost ruined our day. The resort should have organise this better as it is the only transport available to get there. The free boat tour was nice but you usually ended up paying for extra service like getting smaller boat to go to snorkelling spots (200/p for each spot) because the big boat just stop at one spot and nothing much to see there (smart). So we enjoyed it but ended up paying a fortune. The main restaurant is good and has everything, you do not need to walk all the way uphill for the Asian cuisine.
Relaxing and Ambience is great”
It was great staying in Coco Beach Island Resort. Place is relaxing and the food is delicous. I hope they change the location of the family staying with senior or older person. They cant walk that high to return on the room. They offering free activities like island hoping. It was a bad choice to join it, because our boat didn't tour us. We stop in the middle and they let us swim. Were dissapointed, we hoping that the boat will bring us to island. Im will still going back to Coco Beach but will NOT join again free activities. Maybe we will pay for island hoping to make it worth a vacation stay. Thank you.
Perfect holiday location in the middle of the rainforest ”
The staff of the resort was very welcoming and always available. We really liked the food at the restaurant, especially the breakfast outreached our expectations. The international, Asian as well as the Italien restaurant have high quality food. The resort has a private beach and is situated in the rainforest. We can highly recommend to go here with a friend, as a couple or a family!
Dahlmann from Denmark”
Just perfect place -you fill like in paradis - a place to relax and if you want to be active the free boat tours are all so good - the staff is accommodatin and so friendly - the food and driks are tasteful. Absolut excelent and to recommend !!!
Pros: no tv, weak wifi.. thats why u get to enjoy time with family and focus on nature. Cons: im a returning guest, back in the 90s, service families and staff are much warm and friendly. They dont hesitate to greet u. They were friendly to not only foreign guests but to locals/Filipinos too Choice or food selections and how they are portioned need to improve, big time! Especially if people are willing to pay the price the resort is asking for. Improve the food please!
Bad staff ”
When you check in every one friendly then later u ask for glass of water from bar and bar attendant say I can give u water only one time next time come on lunch time . What kind of rubbish hotel is that even I went to front office and tell them how the bar guy told me for glass of water and front office lady telling me same bullshit . We spend thousands of pesos on lunch and dinner in 2 days and they cannot give glass of water . Rubbish hotel don’t go there
We will back again at Coco Beach”
Value of Money - Mura lang food nila at the same time masarap. Location - Private Resort and relaxing.
Beautiful place, but needs some love”
The beach is private and easy for kids to snorkel on. I like the simple rooms without WiFi and TV. They are cool, even without Aircon. However, the pool facilities and sports are in desperate need of some simple maintenance and they have some odd rules. You can’t order a cocktail in the pizza restaurant and have to get it yourself (even if staff aren’t busy).
PERFECT RESORT for Couples!”
This is my 2nd time to visit Cocobeach, the 1st time was last 2004 during college days and my latest was last April 2017, and I must say the resort has improved a lot in terms of the lobby, the dining area, the entrance to get to your cottages. Thumbs up! We had the Hilltop deluxe cottage room number 77 which is above the mountains so their's a 5 to 10 min walk from the beach up in the mountains and it just gives you magnificent feel of nature, you will be surrounded by trees, flowers, once you get to the top the cottages are postcard perfect even the balcony of the rooms, it gives you perfect seaview, perfect for couples and if you want to relax. We never had any issues with the water in the shower, except the water was a little bit salty and it made my skin a little tight and dry, i would suggest bring your own soap and shampoo because they only provide a sample size which is not enough. My only cons is that you might experience a 5-10 min blackout which is not a big deal
Pros: beautiful garden, away from other resorts, for kids beach at low tide is a great rock pool/nature experience, food good for Philippines. Staff are very good, but struggle with special requests. Cons: beach is rocky and so good to swim shoes. Overall resort is looking a little tired and things broken 1 year ago are still broken. Owner’s need to do some maintenance, which wouldn’t cost much!
One of the better Puerto Galera Resorts”
Just an overnight stay but, coco beach was one of the better resorts i've stayed at in puerto galera (and there've been a few!). But, at approx AUD$100 a night it's out of my budget-i only stayed there because of my agoda points.
You can only get here by boat. This is quite straightforward. Go to Muelle pier and get a boatman to take you to Coco beach. They all know it and it costs 250 pesos. The resort is primarily frequented by Danish tourists on a package deal which leads to an odd atmosphere. In the evening it is very quiet. Does Denmark close down at 10.00pm? The food here is very good and there are 4 restaurants. The prices are good too considering you are a captive market. One thing I'm suprised hasn't been mentioned is that there are a LOT of steps. Some bungalows are quite high up and take some effort to get to. They do have a real jungle feel to them.I wouldn't stay for more that 3 nights as you could get a bit "stir crazy" as you are cut off from the rest of the world.
Coco Beach Island Resort is EXCELLENT! Although the regular rooms are a bit dark, the entire experience is superb! Although it is a bit isolated, it is the best place to be in Puerto Galera. We found a nice mix of foreigners and Philippinos. The morning free boat trips are wonderful. And the walk out of the back of the property to the Laguna beaches was beautiful . The snorkeling around Puerto Galera was better than El Nido and off of Panglao. We spent 3 nights there, which was just right for us.
Peaceful & relaxing”
The hotel and surrounds were a pleasant surprise! The staff make you feel very welcome. The huts were quite simple, but adequate. No TV in the room was not missed, and with the tropical climate the lack of hot water didn't bother either. The gardens, beach and swimming pools all made for a very nice stay. I would recommend and even go back again.
very much intersting place”
Guards are very helpful. Receptionists are very excellent. I was received with a nice welcome and helped immediately to get my room. Room is wide enough. Facing the garden but beach is just behind the room. Room is so clean. Wide bed. Satellite TV. Telephone line. Service to the room. Bath is so clean. Tidy. Hot water is not enough as the water heater depends on solar cell energy and some time there is no hot water at all. Hot water and air conditioning and tv are available only on the Heritage rooms only, all other types of rooms are with no hot water or air-condition or tv. Our agoda reservation was with the other type of the rooms and we had to pay for upgrading to Heritage room type. The heritage room is not provided in the agoda reservation. Internet is available in the room and reception area and restaurant but it is a very week connection that you cannot download a single document or a youtub file. It is just enough for reading and sending emails. There is a swimming pool. Garden is wide and well arranged. Has a nice restaurant. Cooking and food is so delicious. There are available transportation to the attractions and markets. boat service is available on call outside the resort infront of the beach. There is a specific family living in their home in the resort who is assigned for your service completely including the housekeeping and luggaging and to resolve all your problems and direct you to what ever tourist spots you like to go and avail you with boat transportation. I utilized the resort transport from Manila airport to Batangas port and then ride the resort boat direct to the resort. It costed me around 10,000 pesos because it was private transport. On my way back, I utilized the resort public boat back to Batangas port and then by van to Manila with only 800 pesos.
Perfect place to chilax and commune with nature. You should not miss snorkling at the coral garden. This is haven to diver enthusiast. Try to join their 101 activities such as table tennis, darts and others to complete your day.
We arrived this resort little late. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Ask for a free upgrade and was giving this already. The room was up in mountain and with azaming views. Just one thing no hot water. If back in this area would stay here again and would tell me friends to stay here.
The best place to relax is in Coco Beach! Its simplicty will not stess any ine out, instead, will ge”
the absence of TV, airconditioning sytem in our kubo, and absence of refrigerator, plus there is. No wifi in the room, made us more inyimate and gave us, couple, enough time to talk and listen to one another. Just the perfect place to be for us after a week a hard work!
NEVER TOOK the TRIP but liked the SERVICE”
Hi, i would like to thank you all for changing my trip earlier, however since my kid was sick i couldn't make it. since i was told that i cannot change my dates again i couldn't request again for change in dates. However i would like to thank for accommodating my changes previously. Thank you Good service !!!!
This place is a paradise! A great place to take a break from the busy (and polluted) city life and relax. It's a shame we only stayed for a night so we didn't get a chance to try the activities. We'll definitely go back an stay longer.
