Coco beach”
Coco Beach Island Resort is EXCELLENT! Although the regular rooms are a bit dark, the entire experience is superb! Although it is a bit isolated, it is the best place to be in Puerto Galera. We found a nice mix of foreigners and Philippinos. The morning free boat trips are wonderful. And the walk out of the back of the property to the Laguna beaches was beautiful . The snorkeling around Puerto Galera was better than El Nido and off of Panglao. We spent 3 nights there, which was just right for us.

one the best places I've ever vacationed”
Beautiful setting and accommodations, clean, great staff, great food, great scuba diving and snorkeling. What more can I say about the place, we will go back again !!! The only hard part was driving to and from Batangas Port from Tagaytay to catch the boat to Coco Beach. 2 main roads were closed for repairs and that turned an hour and a half drive into almost a 4 hour nightmare . Traffic is bad around Batangas also. If driving yourself bring a good old school map (if you can find one ) and know your routes before, because GPS and Google maps are not always accurate in the Philippines. Also if you are prone to seasickness, take something before you get on the boat. It is about an hour ride on a comfortable outrigger boat. The seas were rough on the boat ride from Batangas to the island of Porta Galera and I saw a number of people getting sick ,so you have been warned, but once you get to Coco Beach Island Resort you will forget all about it, I promise :)

Very relaxing, casual, laid back atmosphere, no tv”
Upon arrival we were greeted with the staff singing to us, smiling and presenting us with a lovely handmade shell necklace and refreshing drink. Our room was very traditional style, all bamboo, running water but cold only, however due to heat this was fine. Room had fan only however I think you can book a/c. The resort concentrates on minimum impact to the island which we loved the idea of. All guests are allocated a service family which come to help you upon ringing of a bell. The staff were very relaxed, friendly and english was great. The main pool area was very family friendly however if you wanted to escape childrens play a silent pool was offered up the hill. Drinks avail poolside at each. As we are divers we were stoked to have a dive centre onsite with awesome dive masters and a variety of dive sites 5-10mins. A visit to nearby Sabang made us glad we had chosen to stay at Coco Beach as Sabang was busy with hagglers and we heard other travellers saying it was loud at night with no rest. We would return to Coco Beach!

Relaxing and Ambience is great”
It was great staying in Coco Beach Island Resort. Place is relaxing and the food is delicous. I hope they change the location of the family staying with senior or older person. They cant walk that high to return on the room. They offering free activities like island hoping. It was a bad choice to join it, because our boat didn't tour us. We stop in the middle and they let us swim. Were dissapointed, we hoping that the boat will bring us to island. Im will still going back to Coco Beach but will NOT join again free activities. Maybe we will pay for island hoping to make it worth a vacation stay. Thank you.

PARADISE”
First time travel to Puerto Galera and I will definitely come back to this place. The room was superb! It’s actually cold at night despite having no aircon. The view from our room is hands down great and I don’t mind climbing the long stairs as well just to reach the room. The breakfast was not bad, I quite enjoyed it. And food offered at the restaurants are good! So much to do at this place and 3days and 2nights is not enough! We found a great spot by the beach where we just relaxed while drinking our fresh coconut juice. I can’t commend this place enough! So thoughtful as they provide a huge beach bag for you to put your things. The kuya who takes care of our villa even provided some freshly baked macaron for fee! Great customer service! The staff and the kuya’s offering boat transfers where kind and great as well. It would have been perfect if the water in the room is not sea water but all in all everything is great. Just bring your own drinking water as the 1liter water bottle here is expensive and they only provide you free water once a day. All in all, I will really come back to this place! Hopefully soon!

Good place.”
You can only get here by boat. This is quite straightforward. Go to Muelle pier and get a boatman to take you to Coco beach. They all know it and it costs 250 pesos. The resort is primarily frequented by Danish tourists on a package deal which leads to an odd atmosphere. In the evening it is very quiet. Does Denmark close down at 10.00pm? The food here is very good and there are 4 restaurants. The prices are good too considering you are a captive market. One thing I'm suprised hasn't been mentioned is that there are a LOT of steps. Some bungalows are quite high up and take some effort to get to. They do have a real jungle feel to them.I wouldn't stay for more that 3 nights as you could get a bit "stir crazy" as you are cut off from the rest of the world.

Paradisiskt!”
"Coco" , as we nowadays say in the family, was paradise on Earth! Not only was it peaceful and beautiful - just as nice as one could expect on the internet booking! The staff was courteous , smiling and friendly and the least wish of the guests were met . The houses, not all with AC though, was top standard! The wi-fi worked slowly but OK - at the reception and nearest vicinity . Total absence of elevator music and the national ailment karaoke blessed our soules! Wonderful catamarans brought divers, (we “just” snorkeled) to a reef just a few minutes boat ride away! Crystal clear, emerald sea with horizons between powerful mountain islands completely without nasty jellyfish and sea urchin´s evil! A local "unplugged" band entertained discreetly and incredibly, incredibly I said, a few hours on the beach night or in the restaurant! However, one can not go by car all the way and we had slightly handicapped mother–in-law along and not in shape to do a jungle walk so we drove to a nearby bay hotel and took a catamaran around the cape and reached "Coco" within ten minutes. What a wonderful start to the stay there ! We recommend this amazing place on the very hottest ! Fam Tingsater / Orozco

Four Star but not for mod cons”
Coco Beach resort is world-famous in the Philippines, but be aware - no hot water, a delayed laundry service, no air con, questionable plumbing. Knowing this before you book will help you prepare. Take enough change of clothes if you want to feel refreshed in the evenings. You don't need hot water in a warm climate, and with practise you can master the bathroom facilities. These quirks might surprise you if you're expecting normal four star facilities. In fact, Coco Beach Island Resort is probably the closest thing to high-end camping for the modern family. That said, a fantastic location with fantastic staff, friendly but not naive, with a good choice of activities and eating options.

Love this place!”
We were given a solo deluxe hut, midway up the hill with a nice view and cool sea breezes. No airconditioning, a large mosquito net, but a bathroom with a flush toilet, shower (no hot water, but you really don't need it)... and a small veranda you could sit in, have breakfast, watch the scenery, etc. The beach was great, and outrigger motorized bancas were available to do island-hopping, snorkeling, etc. Many scheduled hotel activities, an upper and lower pool, and acceptable dining. No need for flash and dash.... comfort and relaxation is the key here. Many Europeans, low key,....admixed with vacationing locals. Nightly entertainment is your own except for an ad hoc roaming band singing old Beatle songs at dinner. Will definitely come back for R&R here. Just far enough from Manila on a 2 hour bus ride, plus a ferry, and a banca to get to Coco Beach.

Beautiful resort spoiled by Saturday night noise”
When you arrive at Coco Beach resort, you really feel like you're leaving everything else behind. The sea surrounding it is beautiful and the resort itself is beautiful - lots of bamboo huts built up the hills by the sea. The concept of 'service families' (they live in a house near to your room and will help you with anything you need, you just have to ring a bell) is brilliant and they were so helpful and friendly. The room itself was gorgeous - large with traditional furniture and a great balcony with a hammock. There were 2 things which really spoiled our trip though - first of all the 'Clambake party' on the beach - you eat on the beach, and it would be so lovely to be able to hear the sounds of the sea. Instead, there is really loud entertainment which includes a fairly average band doing covers. And the loud music went on after midnight and could be heard from our room. Secondly, the room was extremely hot. Whilst we did put the fan on, we also had the mosquito net down. The air from the fan couldn't penetrate the mosquito net so we were either really really hot, or being bitten by mosquitoes (even though we had used repellent). I would still recommend Coco Beach, but probably not on a Saturday night.

Great escape from Manila”
The staff were incredible. The location seems like one of the better beaches in Puerto Gallera. It's a little isolated but boats are available to other places such as Muelle and Sabang. Great reef right out in front. With a wide variety of corals and fish. Good for snorkling off the beach. Wide range of dining options within the resort. Easy access from the pier at Muelle. the grounds are well kept and fit with the tropical feel of the place. We will be going back to escape the manila heat and traffic

A Great, Nature Experience”
Three days are not enough to fully experience Coco Beach resort. Maybe because when we were there, the weather was not good. The place was quiet and the room was relaxing. The food was just ok, if I'm pertaining to the breakfast menu. But it was improved when you order in one of their restaurants during your lunch or dinner. We could feel that there was a little bit of bias in their handling of local and foreign guests. We think that the resort is built for foreign visitors. But overall, the staff were friendly to us which is a factor that we can go back to that resort.

Amazing”
we loved it. This place has all the conveniences of a resort, good for families and couples, but doesn`t feel like a resort. You trully feel in the middle of nature, reminded me of my backpacking days lost in an island in Thailand, but this time in a place I actually can bring my wife and our kids when they get older. Congrats Coco Beach team for making a really special place!!

Nice place go relax.”
Nice place, without alot of tourists. Many thing to do, that are arranged by the resort. Private beach and resort, but still just a 10 min boat trip to get to Puerto Galera, or other "sivilised" places. Nice snorkling places. The bungalow had no aircon, and no hot water. But thats the charm of it.

Perfect Vacation with ”
If you are looking for a place for gimik or intense activities well Coco Beach is not the place for you. However, if you want a place that is peaceful and away from the city, Coco Beach Resort is the perfect place! I and my Fiance went to this resort and here are the reasons why we love this place: 1. Very relaxing place. 2. Accommodating staffs. 3. Delicious foods. 4. Crystal clear beach water. 5. Honest people.

very much intersting place”
Guards are very helpful. Receptionists are very excellent. I was received with a nice welcome and helped immediately to get my room. Room is wide enough. Facing the garden but beach is just behind the room. Room is so clean. Wide bed. Satellite TV. Telephone line. Service to the room. Bath is so clean. Tidy. Hot water is not enough as the water heater depends on solar cell energy and some time there is no hot water at all. Hot water and air conditioning and tv are available only on the Heritage rooms only, all other types of rooms are with no hot water or air-condition or tv. Our agoda reservation was with the other type of the rooms and we had to pay for upgrading to Heritage room type. The heritage room is not provided in the agoda reservation. Internet is available in the room and reception area and restaurant but it is a very week connection that you cannot download a single document or a youtub file. It is just enough for reading and sending emails. There is a swimming pool. Garden is wide and well arranged. Has a nice restaurant. Cooking and food is so delicious. There are available transportation to the attractions and markets. boat service is available on call outside the resort infront of the beach. There is a specific family living in their home in the resort who is assigned for your service completely including the housekeeping and luggaging and to resolve all your problems and direct you to what ever tourist spots you like to go and avail you with boat transportation. I utilized the resort transport from Manila airport to Batangas port and then ride the resort boat direct to the resort. It costed me around 10,000 pesos because it was private transport. On my way back, I utilized the resort public boat back to Batangas port and then by van to Manila with only 800 pesos.

great resort to rest and to enjoy diving”
although the resort capacity is quite large, it never gives the impression it is crowed. there is plenty of space and bungalows are well spread across the domain. you only realize the number of guests at dinner time, when indeed the service can be a litle bit slow. the distance to sabang is a real plus at the end, because atmosphere at coco beach is very relaxing. i was staying in puerto galera specifically for diving and i have appreciated very good service provided by the in house padi center. thanks to the proximity of many sites, you can arrange totally flexible the number of dives you want per day. great spots with very diverse species and rich marine life. regarding accomodations, i stayed in a deluxe bungalow (no air-con) providing reasonable comfort, but don't expect too much. food is very good according to philippines standards.
