The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are all polite. The only drawback we had is that we wanted to go out around 4am to do stargazing at the beach (because the hotel doesn't have a beachfront) but we were unable to do so because the gate was locked at that time and no one was there to open it for us.
Worst hotel we've stay in a long time”
We booked this place because most resorts were fully booked. We kept an open mind even though we already saw how bad the rating was. It wasn't long until we figured out how bad this place really was. The staff were always away. Check in an hour after 2pm because they were just cleaning the room at 2pm. The room was literally crumbling and the bed had BED BUGS. I had multiple bites the day after. The service is just really slow. Book in advance other better resorts so that you'll not regret staying here!
Good place to stay”
A good place to stay very near Mangudlong Rock. The room is okay. You get what you paid for. The breakfast is enough to satisfy. We did't get to try there swimming pool since it was't cleaned that time (or I dunno if they have scheduled cleaning for that)
Nice place but I would expect that for 5 night stay at least once our room gets cleaned...”
We had big problem how should we pay for our stay since resort does not accept cards ,no atm was working for int cards on Camotes and manager was not very upfront to help us out :( , so we struggled with finding possible online solutions, traveled around San Fran and Poro and lost one full day on stressing how we should pay them...bring cash if u r traveling to Camotes and do not own local atm cards
It was a nice experience but lacking of staffs but we are contented of the services offered. The priced you pay is the the price you get. We loved the pool but they don't have sea view. You need to go to Mangodlong Beach Resort but it is a free access when you are staying at Coco Grove. It was indeed a nice vacation for it was a sunny day.
Looks better in the photos”
Don't be fooled into thinking this is a beach resort because it's not. This place needs serious renovation. The pools are about 2 feet deep and don't get maintained properly. The billiard table which features prominently in the photos is fcuk'd and the cues don't have ends in them. The rooms with fans used to be Aircon rooms but when the Aircon broke down they didn't bother fixing it. The bathroom was built by a total idiot who made the drain away from the lowest point and the shower taps disintegrate in your hands so the water just pours everywhere. I THINK YOU GET THE PICTURE... BIT OF A JOKE REALLY. Plus side, you can use the beach from the resort next door (see photos) and there is a reasonable sari sari store outside where you can buy most things and hire decent scooters for 300-400 pesos/day depending on how long you want it. The breakfast is ok but we didn't eat here apart from that. It's ok for sleeping. The WiFi works ok and it's a nice enough if a bit shabby place.
Value for money”
They.dont have beach but u can access free the beach of the Mango..... resort that is 20 meter down. The swimming pool is decent, clean and big enough. Rooms are very simple, a bit dark, but for the price paid its ok.
Place is good, quiet and good food. It has swimming pool that is being enjoyed by the children. Access to Mangodlong Rock Resort makes it more enjoyable. It's like staying in 2 resorts and enjoying the amenities of both resorts. I will definitely come back!!!
Overall a pleasant 3 nights stay at Coco Grove. The room/bathroom can do with some repair. The shower never worked but aircon, electric fan & TV all worked well. There was a shortage of water but that was because of the El Nino. The 2 pools are a great feature of the resort.
It's near Mangodlong Rock Resort. You will have free access to Mangodlong Rock since Coco Grove is not a beach front resort. The linens and room is enough just to stay for the night. But other facilities is not okay: no water heater--therefore you have to get a cold shower; There's only 1 cook--food is not okay, there's limited menu and not everything is available; breakfast is so-so--I advise to just eat at Mangodlong Rock Resort, they have a lot better restaurant; The place is under staff-- not enough to accommodate bulk of guests. In short, the price is not okay compare to the services they can provide. Preferably choose other resort or hotel that has same price but better facilities.
Checked in to our room (double fan room) after a long ferry journey- the loo didn't flush and there was no water to the room- when i tried to shower the shower head came off in my hand. We complained and moved to another room where we stayed 3 nights and were unable to get the shower hot at any point. Our room wasn't cleaned during this time. Staff were friendly and helpful (mainly). Location was not great with no access to the beach as it was closed off by other hotels. The included breakfast was very basic and limited (&expensive) eating choices nearby- would recommend staying near San Francisco where the food is good and the beach lovely. We hired a moped from the stall opposite the gate for a very reasonable price and spent next to no time at the hotel
The best thinh about it is it's very near Mangodlong beach and Consuelo port! I've read that Wi-Fi is not okay but it was during our stay. The pools and the whole place were clean too. Room was simple but okay.
ang room rah aqng gnhn ky daku and worth sa price”
ilang foods mahal nya gamay ug servings and dli completo.like naa sa menu nila pro ig order wla.loading ang wifi.gnhn q sa rooms nila ky daku worth ra sa price pd.ang mga staff bati ug services esp.ang naa sa ilang dinning/kitchen.hinay ug aircon, mau gne nay efan rapd and no cable ang tv so useless ang flat screen nga tv ky karat rah ang salida..
It was a cool stay. How I wish however is that the property will install wifi extenders so that the wifi signal will become available even inside the rooms that are far from the restaurant area. Staff are all polite.
We were stranded in Camotes due to the tropical depression and so we decided to book for 3 nights and 4 days with them. We liked their pools except that it’s not that clean and it’s got a live crab in it and we had to ask for it to be removed. No internet/data signal ans their wifi is not working at all. Good thing that their staffs are friendly and accommodating but other than that, it’s not a good resort
okay for a night or two”
overall a okay stay but nothing really special. close to the beach rooms a bit old but well maintained. clean and comfy beds ! a lot of mosquitos in the evening so best keep your windows closed. okay for a night or two and good value for your money. would stay again
Kudos to this Resort”
All I can say is WOW!!!
Value of noney”
Staff are friendly
Staffs are friendly, accommodating and approachable. The place is so nature and I loved it because it has more plants around the resort. And also very quite. Facility is okay except with the heater room 10 because it didn't function well.
Very relaxing gardens”
Don't expect luxury from this little oasis of relaxation. The rooms are basically but comfortably furnished, clean and the showers work. The small gardens are well laid out and the two swimming pools are to be enjoyed. The menu is limited but the food is inexpensive and you have the free use of Mangodlong Rock Resort facilities just down the road
