Great new resort with wonderful private beachfront”
We booked Coco-Palm Resort for our honeymoon because we were looking for a romantic and private get-away. We were not disappointed! It's only been open for a few months and they are still ironing out a few details but we absolutely loved our honeymoon and we plan to go back often. The beach at Coco-Palm is nicer than the one next door at Mango Bay. The room was private, clean and elegant with a pretty view of a lush garden and the sea in the near distance. The best thing about our stay besides the awesome beach was the people - Mr. Hom and his staff treated us as if we were family and made our stay so pleasant we didn't want to leave. Ever. The menu is smaller than at Mango Bay but it's cheaper and everthing is yummy and huge portions - the BBQ squid is to die for! The cook was always bringing us little treats to try like coconut jelly (mmmmm) and mango fritters (we made her promise to put these on the menu). They don't have any massage yet but they are planning to set this up. We went next door to Mango Bay for massages - their facilities are very nice. $20 per hour is more expensive than at the massage places on Long Beach but you get scented oil and a swanky spa so it's worth it. Things are going to change on Phu Quoc when the international airport opens. For now it's a sleepy little beach town with amazing seafood, pretty, fairly unpolluted beaches (Sao Beach was the nicest), and, if you stay in a smaller place like Coco-Palm, the warm hospitality that makes a vacation memorable for a lifetime. Thank you Coco-Palm and Phu Quoc! You gave us a perfect honeymoon.

Escape from the city and relax on the beach”
We have known the place since our last stay in Phu Quoc and wanted to get back especially due to the beautiful beach and scenery. As we have travelled with small kids (6 months and 2,5 years), we appreciated air-conditionned rooms (compared to non-air-conditionned Mango Bay resort which is next door)and clean, safe beach. Proximity to the beach, beautiful gardens.Communication with the restaurant staff was a little bit tricky (only some of them spoke english or fully understand what we wanted), however they were all very nice and attentive. As to the food in the restaurant, it was not that bad, the taste was very fine, nevertheless, portions were too small for adults (and also expensive). There is a limited offer for breakfast, you have to choose from the menu which is the samy every day. They do not serve even fresh vegetable, no assortment of cheese, ham etc. Only local bread. We can reccommend to dine in SAKURA restaurant which is app. 10 minutes of walk from Coco palm beach resort (the owner is very nice, english-speaking and a she is a perfect cook). Besides the food we were delighted to stay in Coco Palm Beach resort anyway and plan to come back for the next holiday.Ong Lang beach and this resort definitely worth it.

Fantastic”
Coco Palms Resort was absolutely fabulous whilst the staff and scenery make this a perfect location for relaxation and a romantic getaway. The ocean view rooms are approximately 150m from the beautiful uncrowded beach lined with hammocks and sun lounges. Although the resort is a fair distance from the town center of the island it is well worth the trip as is not only has the best beach on the entire island but offers a serene and tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle. If you want to get to town the resort offers a car service for a fixed price that will take you into town or motorbike hire that costs around $10 Australian for the day. Our room was also quiet spacious and comfortable with ocean views, air conditioning, fan, bar fridge and a nice little front patio with a nice see breeze. The outdoor bathroom was also a hit with us, capturing the essence of the resorts beach-side theme. a nice pre-ordered breakfast was delivered to our room every morning at a chosen set time which was always fresh and on time. We would also like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank-you to the reception staff of Coco Palms Resort, especially Yen who went above and beyond our expectations in accommodating our specific holiday requirements. We cannot thank Yen enough for going out of her way to accommodate our particular needs and offering us the most professional and friendly service. As the resort only has approximately 8 to 10 rooms we can highly recommend Coco Palms for its location and customer service, providing a more personalised holiday experience, something that you would not find in larger resorts or hotels. Overall we had a memorable stay at Coco Palms Resort and hope to return again in the future a 9 out of ten for us.

A bit far out but worth the trek”
my roommate and i had a few days off from work and had to get out of saigon. we found some reasonable flights with air mekong and off we went. the hotel is a bit far out of town so be prepared to pay a hefty taxi fare but we only paid it going because the hotel owner took us into town when we left three days later. during that time they fed us well. they're the only place nearby by so if you want to eat lunch and dinner you have to get it from them. the food is pretty good. nothing i tried was terrible. they would also bring us free appetizers or soup because they wanted us to try it. they also brought us some shredded coconut candy as a dessert and because i liked it so much they gave me an entire bag when i left. the beach was pretty much deserted for the entire first day but then some other backpackers checked in because they couldn't find room at the more expensive mango bay resort which is right next door. also, the beach at coco-palm is so much better than the mango bay beach. they don't have very many amenities but what they lack there they make up for in hospitality. they don't rent bicycles but they do have two motorbikes for rent. a bit more expensive than it was in town but if you don't want to head into town its worth the money. i would definitely stay there again if i ever went back to phu quoc.

Very Personal Experience with No Crowds”
The room we got was literally 6 steps from the beach - that alone you cannot beat. The most important part is that it was not crowded. My girlfriend and I traveled to several other beaches on the island and ALL of them were so crowded you couldn't think with loud techno music blasting from sun up til sun down. We ended up just enjoying our private beach with no crowds and obnoxious techno music blasting. The Coco Palm sits on the west side of the island and you get to see the sun set every night. They do a seafood bbq with fresh caught seafood with very reasonable prices. If you want to switch it up and eat somewhere else you can walk down the street to several other options. The karaoke was very entertaining and both the women singing are truly talented. Loved our stay and very happy we went with Coco Palm instead of some big box resort with 1000s of other people.

Quiet, relaxing, and a wonderful staff!”
We spent the last 10 days of our 6 week Asian vacation at Coco-Palm resort! Nice and quiet which is what we were looking for! It was so relaxing when we wanted it to be, and just as busy as we needed. Tuan, the manager was very informative, and also extremely helpful in setting up tours, motorbike rentals, shopping adventures, and island sightseeing. We enjoyed all the personal attention that we received, the beach, the delicious food, and the fact that the entire staff takes pride in their work, - and it shows! Rooms, and grounds were so clean! Sometimes there is a little language issue with the younger staff, but nothing big, so just relax and enjoy your time!! There was a new bar on the beach being built when we were there, which should be done soon. We'd definitely return to Coco - Palm Resort anytime! Thanks everyone for making our stay so enjoyable! Beginning of the road from town is rather rough, but so are a lot of other roads on the island.

Wished we had Stayed Longer”
We spent two weeks at this resort and wished we could have stayed longer. We travel a lot and had in fact just been to the Maldives for a month (both private and public Islands) before going to the Coco Palm Beach Resort. We wish we had swapped the holidays ie 2 weeks in Maldives 4 weeks Coco Palm. The staff, accomodation, and food were in a different class, not to mention the location. We were treated like kings and I have to say we enjoyed every minute of it. If we can we will be returning, but this time for a month. Can't say any more. Thoroughly recommended.

newly opened beach resort on Phu Quoc”
this was a lucky find for us, as it only opened in 2012 so there are very few reviews out there. we really enjoyed our stay here. the resort is lovely - it has been well designed and built without compromise. it is on one of the nicest beaches on phu quoc, and the whole place is kept clean and tidy. we found that the standard of the rooms is better than other resorts of a similar price range. the resort is run by a family who don't have much experience of the hospitality industry. not many of the staff speak english which can make things a little difficult. however they are all very friendly and eager to please. the restaurant is nice but be prepared for a long wait. when it eventually arrived, the food was usually very good. but consider pre-ordering to avoid the delays. (they are also happy to take requests and cook you something special if you give them notice.) there are also several other options for dining nearby including restaurants and nearby resorts.

What a fabulous place to stay on Phu Quoc!”
What a truly exceptional place to stay on Phu Quoc!!! A great place to relax in a chilled tropical paradise! We stayed with our 6 year old daughter in late September / early October. We had a fabulous time - accommodation was very comfortable, set in beautiful grounds awash with every type of colourful butterfly you could imagine... Just a few steps from a gorgeous tropical beach too, complete with white sand, palm trees and a crystal blue sea as warm as a bath... We spent many hours swimming and snorkelling too. A lovely choice of fine food for breakfast, lunch / dinner too, overlooking the beach. Staff were exceptionally kind, thoughtful and helpful... We booked this on the basis of various reviews and, from our experience, we cannot recommend it highly enough! Thanks for a fabulous stay - we cannot wait to come back again soon!

The best hotel for relax ”
This wonderful small hotel is family run by a family without hotel experience but they compensate it with a very friendly atmosphere. They have luckily hired a receptionist with some experience but evenso they managed to double-book rooms so we did have to change room twice. The 11 bungalow rooms are better than the pictures shown by Agoda and the garden is fantastic and will be even better. They work constantly with the garden and are also building some more bungalows. They have the best part of Ong Lang beach which is much better than Long Beach where we also stayed. They could without problem double the number of rooms without the place being crowded but I hope they dont because now it is perfect for couples/families who want to relax. If you want to party go somewhere else. It is far to the city so you have to take a taxi. On the other hand you can afford to take a taxi every day. It will anyhow be cheaper than a hotel on Long Beach. The reastaurant service is not very quick but again friendly. The free breakfast is limited but extension cheap. English knowledge is limited to poor. Spa mentioned in Agoda page dont exist. The new international airport is on the other side of town so the taxi cost is min US$ 20

Best place to stay in Phu Quoc”
We loved Coco Palm and can't wait to return as it was we stayed an extra 4 nights. Located on a fabulous beach near the the over rated Mango Resort. we went to Mango Beach for supper one night, found the food to be average and over priced. The cream brûlée was amazing. The staff at Coco Palm were so nice by the time we were leaving they were like extended family. This place is a perfect 10!

Perfect spot for a quiet and relaxing break”
Coco Palm is a brilliant place to stay if: - you want an isolated location (it is quite far from the town because of the poor roads) - you want to stay in a small resort - you want a pretty little beach. I thought the rooms were really nicely decorated and clean. The open air bathrooms were brilliant too. I went here to stay and study for 4 days and it was a perfect location. The weather was not ideal - but it is rainy season and just an act of nature. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you want 5* service and staff with perfect English, stay in an English speaking country. Accept that people in Asia are often speaking a second language (very different to their own) when communicating with people in English. Be patient. If you can't be patient, then try another country.

3 days on the beach ”
Great Great Staff , very helpfull and nice , we had an motorbike accident before arriving at this resort and the staff help us a lot with all we need and support during our stay The room is spacious and clean The beach is nice but very narrow , still, there is sunbed available for the guest for free , and rented to other tourist ( so it can be hard to have a available sunbed ) The breakfast is really nice (buffet) and a lot of choice The restaurant is limited menu: snacks ( hamburger and so) so for a good meal it is really much better to walk up street and go eat at one of the numerous restaurant outside the tesort So , we spent 3 days with great pleasure at coco palm resort would come back for sure

Dear Jonathan, Thank you very much for your detailed review. We really appreciate you taking the time to write it and are grateful for your tips for our potential future guests. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the service, that the staff were courteous and that you enjoyed working here too. Looking forward to welcoming you back in the future. Warmest regards
Exceptionally pleased”
Coco Palm is a truly magnificent place set on a perfect area of the Beach with crystal clear waters. The food is fantastic, especially the breakfast. My girlfriend and I were genuinely pleased with how our stay was very relaxing. The Coco Palm has scooters that you can rent on-site at a very reasonable price. If you're thinking of this place or another, I would choose this place. We will be back for a more extended stay next time.

Lovely beach and garden, great food and drink”
Our family of five with three kids under 8 enjoyed our four-night stay here. It’s a quiet and peaceful location right on the beach, which was worth the extra money. The service was wonderful—all the workers were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful with a good selection for different tastes. The fruit drinks and iced coffee were the best we’ve had in Vietnam. Restaurant prices were higher, which is to be expected on Phu Quoc, but the food was all great quality, well prepared and still a bargain compared to western prices. The only downside was that there were no family rooms available, so we booked two separate rooms that were next to each other.

Ok hotel near the beach”
Coco Palm Resort has a lot of potential. It is in a great location right on the most beautiful part of the beach. Staff are helpful and friendly, nice outdoor shower, internet is generally quite good. Rooms are generally nice and comfortable, but a few small changes would make massive improvements - eg replace small sachet of shampoo with nice bottles and soap, have somewhere to hang the toilet paper, have nice fluffy towels and a nice bench in the room to place your bags. Value was ok for Phu Quoc but maybe a bit pricy compared to other hotels in other parts of Vietnam.

Lovely bungalows with great service”
We stayed at Coco-Palm over New Year's and it was really relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are big and clean with AC. The owners and the stuff are very friendly and eager to serve. We asked them if we could have grilled food for New Year's eve and they organized us a grill party, where all the guests from the 10 bungalows participated. The massage was great and they rent motorbikes and arrange snorkeling and fishing tours. The beach was beautiful and peaceful - maybe 'cause there is 6km to the town!

Peaceful paradise. ”
We really enjoyed our stay at Coco-Palm resort - it is the most beautiful location on a very quiet stretch of beach next to the Mango Bay resort. The resort has a gorgeous and very well kept garden which enhances the tropical island feel. The staff were so helpful and friendly nad the food was good too. The room was a little shabby and needed a bit of a paint and the bed was a bit hard but otherwise we loved our stay and would highly recommend it and come again.

Perfect beach, great food, wonderfull staff.”
We were only booked for 5 nights but decided to stay for 14 even though we had to share a 1 room bungalow as a family of 4 without a baby cod for our infant boy. The atmosphere and feeling of calm here is everything we were looking for. The resort is located in what is best described as a jungle garden with a variety of palm tress, plants and a little lake with fish ind the middle. There is only 15 bungalows spread out in this garden, all within 30 seconds walk to the pristine beach that is equipped with comfortable sun chairs that are free of charges for the guest at the resort. The beach is 100 % sand and not a single rock in the water which is very calm most of the time. Great when you have small kids. Our 4 year old could safely play in the water while we watched her from the beach. We missed a baby cod at the resort, which should be easy for them to acquire. Food was great and staff was Wonderfull with our children that they played with every day. Our greatest recommendation!

Good Hotel with nice garden and an ok beach and frre pick up from airport for over a 2 night stay ”
i Spent 3 nights in this hotel this is a nice hotel with good staff , rooms are clean and big and the breakfast buffet is very good with a good variety , this has a ok beach in front of the hotel to swim and relax . next to the hotel is a private property and there is a little garbage and plastic on the beach , it would be good if the hotel would keep that bit of beach clean . This is a good Quiet place to spend a few days to rest and relax , if you stay for more than 2 nights they will pick you up for free at the airport in Phu Quoc .
