When I was last in Ngapoli (2016) this resort was under construction - Coconut Island Resort sits at the northern end of Ngapoli Beach. The hotel is sympathetically built fitting into the natural beauty of the land and the British educated couple who have developed this area have an interesting vision for sustainable development and were a pleasure to talk with. The hotel is extremely secluded which may well suit couples and families seeking an escape from the brand box hotels and while facilities such as swimming pools and gyms are absent - you do have the most beautiful natural swimming pool outside your door! As for exercise - the hills to the east offer great trails - I'd recommend especially hiking to the reservoir to the southeast - this area is beautiful and seldom visited by tourists. You're largely reliant on in-house catering which is great but you need to be patient for it to be cooked :-)

Many people « work »there but they don’t know what working is... You have to tell them several time the same, they were not training to serve customers and they don’t speak english. The breakfast is not for occidental customers. The wifi doesn’t work well and many other things either...

The staff really gets out of their way to guess and accommodate you needs and wishes. Very quite location. Good cellular reception/internet. Even fast WiFi. Finally a resort with mosquito nets above their beds. I’ll be back.

Poorly trained staff ..bad room..food slow to arrive..really poor location”
On arrival we went to our room which was advirtised as partial sea view ..only view was of staff toilets .as we were the only guests we requested a sea view room which the manager tried to extort 120 dollars per night extra we talked him down to 40$. All rooms were supposed to have wifi ..there was none until we asked breakfast staff to turn on ..We had to do this every day. Its a good 20 min walk to nearest resteraunt. .the staff were poorly trained and inattentive. .the food was often cold and of a low standard there are know amenities or facilities at all at this hotel can't remember what star it should be but I wouldn't give it a piece of space junk rating ..needles to say we left two days early and had to take the loss on the chin ..ps the manager only appeared to take money not available during the stay ...bad choice on my part we live and learn

The normal rate charging 220$ a night was giving to u with the best offer by 140$ a night. Only your initial amount 100$ top up $40 extra as u wished to upgrade the room and you did agreed for it. I believe u have miscommunication occurred, Im afraid to say though staff can communicate English but they can not respond well with the native British but well with other Europeans. It was mentioned ‘partial view’, Not partial sea view pls. Regarding WiFi, definitely we will improve for that. As we are the new hotel just opened, we are on the queue of the best broadband operator to install the system and we can not wait for it. Thus we set up temporary WiFi system in Public area, that is at Dinning area. Truly sorry for your any inconvenience, take our pardon pls! We hope to serve u in more professional ways in the future.
