Lovely boutique resort for divers”
Stayed here for 5 nights and from the minute they picked us up from the airport to them delivering us at their sister resort in Lembeh the service was excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Lovely pool. The spa was good too. The dive Centre is excellent. Can not recommend highly enough.

Great Place for Relaxing and Diving with family”
We are a couple with young children aged 2, and 5, and came to dive and relax by the beach. As our children are so young it's hard to juggle both, but this was not the case during our stay here. The staff was incredibly helpful in arranging a staff member who had experience as a babysitter while we went diving. The kids loved hanging out with her; so it gave us the pleasure to do multiple dives. The rooms were comfortable and spacious; a cot was placed for our younger child and the daybed turned into a comfy bed for our older one. The food at the restaurant was delicious and varied. Highly recommend and would come back!

Excellent”
The one night stay in Cocotinos was a great escape from busy Manado life. Despite the location is one step away the Kimabajo village, the atmosphere is different once you step into the area. It was very peaceful with beautiful birds chirping in the garden. Being a local tourist, didn’t make the staff treat us differently. They were all very helpful and warm. We booked the water edge room which was great as we had weekend promo price! Room is spacious, good view, hot water ran well, and hot tub was lush. We were also amazed how the resort provide a gigantic bottle of water inside the room to support the non single use plastic bottle. Great one! A hiccup tho, we booked double bed and got literally two beds merged into one. We didn’t complain when checked in as it looked fine at first. Until when we went to bed and you could actually feel the middle part that is not very comfortable for your back when you occasionally roll around. The merged of those two beds were somehow made it not very practical. For example we had to look everywhere to find some of the light switch and plugs that turned up behind the middle part of the bed. Not sure why we didn’t get the normal double bed, as we were the only guest on that day. Also, we had not many options for food during dinner. The breakfast was great tho! And almost forget that we had juice and sandwich for welcome thingy. Thanks!

SUBSTANDARD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! VERY DISSAPOINTED”
Staff was accusing me without having a decency to ASK first, given they didn’t have an on duty manager to direct the issue on the spot. The language was used was terribly rude. It was extremely unprofessional- Unacceptable! Will never ever recommend this place to any local friends and for sure that includes all my international friends! No procedure in place during on duty. One staff was claiming to be the fake manager! Had to check out earlier due to the nasty behaviours/service/communication were given to my family and myself. Didn’t want to apologise for what was done. THE WORST PLACE I’VE EVER STAYED AT SO FAR!

Weekend getaway and more”
From our arrival at the airport, we were greeted by the friendly staffs of Cocotinos holding a special sign for my husband who is celebrating his birthday. The travel from the airport to the hotel took around 30mins. The scenery was a mixture of small neighborhoods, coconut trees, mountains and then some. We were surprised to notice that the roads were all paved which made the drive even more pleasurable. The entire Cocotinos property has a cozy size. The room we stayed at, Waters's Edge, was FANTASTIC! It was clean, spacious, well-lighted (I like the fact that there"s plenty of natural light in the bathroom), and has an awesome view of the sunset. The room has a safe, a good-size container for drinking water, tv that catches 5-7 cable channels. You have the option of using the aircon or ceiling fan or both to ventilate the room. The bed was soooo comfortable-- made us sleep without any problem. Anyone who goes to Cocotinos should dive or snorkel. The Odessey dive shop is equipped to help guests with their diving/snorkelling needs. Definitely a must activity. Tip: bring along your dive logbook and ask the DM to help you complete it after each dive. This way you get to track your dives while the info is still fresh from your DM's memory.

Great Boutique Hotel for a relaxing time and Divin”
The resort is 30 Minutes away from the international Airport and 2 hours away from MANADO city . graet to disconect from the rat race / we took the best sea facing room and ir was BIG ,clean and comfartable . - not 5 star luxary but every thing worked and had space. there are no restraunts around the resort . but food was good ( the portions were generous)and the restraunt service was top notich . we were NOT board with eating at the same place for 4 days . Diving was great but we had to push them to take us to spots that were 45 minutes boat ride away ( but this was because other people on the boat had already dived there) - Diving is a little bit expensive compared to other locations in Indonesia ( try to book a package may work out cheeper) - THANKS Cocotinos we will recomend this place and hope we can come back again

Perfect chill”
We went to Cocotinos at the start of our holiday to thoroughly chill & relax. We had a beautiful chalet overlooking the bay. The staff were wonderful & a good laugh, making us feel most welcome. The restaurant was good and the free breakfast plentiful. We missed Bintang as they only had Heineken and cocktails weren't really available. But it was all about the atmosphere, large pool overlooking the sea, a variety of birds singing in the beautifully landscaped gardens and being made to feel special. We didn't dive (but had an amazing snorkel at the local reef, a short boat ride away), however the dive centre ran smoothly. It's a shame there isn't interaction with the village, there really is nothing else around. However we left the resort and went for a long walk, meeting lots of kids and families. If you want a good place to dive or just to loose the cares of the world, Cocotinos is the place. We shall return...

small resort with big hospitality”
the accomodations were very clean, comfortable and well maintained. the room was spacious enough and cozy. staff were friendly, professional and attended to requests promptly and courteously. price was very affordable and exceptional value for the level of service/accomodations. the resort location is about 30 minutes from manado airport. diving and snorkling in bunaken island are only 35 minutes away with boat from private jetty. we had two rooms with connecting door, 2 single beds and 1 super king bed, it worked very well for our family of 5. breakfast could be improved we would come back here for sure!

Fantastic Place at a High Price for Indonesia”
We had a great stay at the Resort. The diving is expensive compared to other places in Indonesia and South East Asia. However, they do have knowledgeable and great diving staff. Their dive prices include all of the prep, portaging and cleaning of your equipment before and after your dives which is nice considering the cost for the dives is 20% to 30% more than other places. They have a great location for access to dive sites and travel was never more than 1 hour to the dive site. The food was great and portions were on the large side. They were appropriately priced for their portion, quality and service. It is unfortunate that there is NOWHERE else to eat nearby. Which, while I am on the subject of location I will mention the resort is situated between a MOSQUE and a CHURCH. This means . . . calls to prayer and gospel music could and does go off from 4:30am until 10pm at night, everyday numerous times throughout the day. The resort is 30 minutes from the airport and about 80K to 120K for a 1 way trip to or from the resort. I as ESPECIALLY displeased with the resort in their offering of a vehicle to the airport which was priced at 280K EVEN WHEN THEY HAD TO PICK UP SOMEONE WHEN WE NEEDED TO BE DROPPED OFF. They wanted to charge the both of us a total of 560K for a 200K trip. Given their HIGH prices for everything and after spedning 20million rupiah on a weeks stay, diving and a tour to the lake for two they still wanted to nickle and dime us for everything. Such a shame, it is a good place too.

Secluded place but all is well ”
If you sit in the restaurant, facing the sea there is an abandoned cruise ship in sight at 10 o’clock . Very unique and interesting view. Although this is the only resort in the area surrounded by small villages with narrow paved streets, the rooms are very clean, staff are friendly, and peaceful. If you are into doing activities that involve water, you can go diving, snorkeling, and maybe rent a small motor boat for deep sea fishing. Otherwise you are confined within the small town as it is half hour taxi ride from Manado city. Expect to pay the about 200,000 IDR for Uber-like ride or taxi, and wait for the call-out service. Foods can be expensive for lunch and dinner but the free breakfast was amazing and delicious. Overall , it is a nice resort to relax and spend time in , for preferably up to 2-3 nights .

The best small resort that caters to divers”
My overall review on this hotel is good. Room is comfortable, clean and generous in giving us gallons size drinking water. Big containers of soap, shampoo also. My experience in resorts that is far from big city is : transportation is expensive because taxi is difficult to get (according to the hotel Blue Bird Taxi which is the best do not pick up their calls, which I doubted actually). So i ended up have to use hotel car and spent Rp.440.000 for 4 hours of use. Food is good because the portion is huge. There is one staff that stood out due to his understanding in giving clients the best service. His name is I believe spelled Helmi, he is from Banjarmasin and his work shift is evening. The rest of the staffs are courteous and friendly but they may need more training in how to serve customers. Overall safety is good. But i notice that the children that live around the resort always shouting, calling the guests offering themselves to be photographed and they ask for things from the guests. Some smaller children even throwing sands just to get the guest attention. Luckily his throw is too weak. This can caused problems to the guests. There was a security guy who shout at the kids from a far. And when ignored by the kids he just went away. The smaller yhe kid the more daring , they even come very close to the restaurant and keep shouting at us. It became so uncomfortable until we decided not to venture to the sea. This is too bad because without the children, we could have a perfect rest in this resort. Since we are not divers I can't say much about how good the diving facility. They look very well equipped. Also noted that they have no beach for sunbathing. You can only sunbathing around their pool but with nice view. Another important thing, they do marvelous job in keeping bugs, mosquitos, spiders away from the guests.

Diver's Dream”
Loved this place. I've been to Manado and Lembeh several times for the amazing diving in this special spot. This was my first time staying at Cocotino's. They've various room styles, from a more hostel-like multi-person bungalow to the single room cottages like the one I stayed in. Not luxurious but very clean, quaint, and comfortable. Service was over the top. And the diving, wow...just wow. What a great team, excellent boat, and knowledgeable dive master.

Great Dive Holiday with Cocotinos”
Cocotinos is designed for divers and the staff have been trained like wise. This makes diving so much more comfortable. For example just out from the water, you have shower facilities and a soak tank for your camera on the boat. While you shower they prepare a hot beverage and fetch you a towel. I had a great time at the resort and is really meant for divers. I would highly recommend this place for any of my diving buddies.

Cocotinos is great as a base to dive at Bunaken.”
I loved staying here. The staff was fantastic. The location is a bit remote and only a twenty minute boat ride from Bunaken Island, the dive spot. I love that the resort is on the mainland and only half an hour from the Manado airport. There is a spa on site as well with great massages. There is a small outdoor pool overlooking the water. Very clean and just wonderful.

Great dive resort”
SERVICE: Generally very good service by the staff - very helpful and attentive. Areas of improvement on the service front - English language capability can be improved with some of the staff (I barely understood some of them and they misunderstood me). Also information flow (e.g. what the resort has to offer) can be better. For example, my partner and I heard from another couple about the BBQ for dinner option and luckily for us, we enquired with the staff earlier in the day and that allowed the kitchen to include us for the BBQ dinner. (Kitchen needs to know ahead of time so that they can cater enough for the number of people). There were a few displeased patrons who turned up at dinner seeing as how some of us were having BBQ for dinner and they are excluded cos they did not inform the staff/kitchen. ROOMS: By the dive resort standards (that I have stayed in), this was quite plush. Design is good. Recommend the Water Edge room, or the suite if you want extra space. Bath/toilet area is very spacious. DINING: Disappointing. Average. I was expecting more of the spicy Manado food I read and heard about. When you factor the price you pay for the food, it becomes below average to poor. Don't get me wrong - I am not saying the food is inedible. Just that for the amount they charge, I will rate it poor. Average hawker food in (high-inflation) Singapore is better and costs a fraction. Also, considering the location of the resort, dining outside of the resort is also virtually non-existent unless you suffer a long traffic jam afflicted journey to town.

it was a new experience”
It's not easy to comment on Cocotinos. There are positive and negative points. We are not a fussy couple when it comes to accommodation while on holidays. I gave pretty much good reviews on most of them but I was doubtful to give a real good comment here. First of, we love the area, it was out of the city area which is good to begin with. In fact, Manado city is pretty small. From the airport to Cocotinos took us 45 minutes and from Cocotinos to the city took us approximately 30minutes. Cocotinos is located in the village and the road to the hotel is pretty small. When we first arrived, we were offered sandwiches and juice as a welcome refreshments. That was nice! and later on we were told that our room was not ready and was requested to wait. We were a tad exhausted from the ride from the airport to the hotel. The only thing we wanted that day was too relax in the room for a bit. The man could see that we were exhausted. So he offered to let us go to the room (the room was not ready because we were given a 2 single bed when we wanted a king size bed). He told us to join the 2 single bed, they required 2 hours to get it done. So my partner and I were quite confuse as to what they were trying to do. Were they bringing in a new bed frame that's king size, were they waiting for get the bed frame fixed or were they just joining the 2 single bed to ONE? The thoughts of needing 2 hours to get it done made us really puzzled.
