The only hotel in Agoda in Ambon at sea, and cheap”

I had wonderful time. Snorkelled and freedived all days, went in Ambon city by free rented hotel bike, et fresh fish every evening. Very bad wi-Fi, but they have LAN in some rooms. When I went to the city and bought an USB-LAN adapter, they transferred me to the so-called "premium" room with cable for free as all others were busy.

Good budget hotel to rest”

Pretty good budget hotel. However, it is really far from Ambon City. Agoda should change it from "Ambon City Center" in the website. From Ambon city, you need to take angkot to Latuhalat, which is about 45 mins from Terminal Mardika. The road was bad and no public transportation after 6 pm. However, if you like quiet surroundings, you may like this hotel. It has its own beach, but you can also go to Santay Beach and Natupulu park nearby. The food is so-so. And you cant find any restaurant nearby this hotel. There is a warong just across the hotel which serves a pretty good soto ayam.

Nice escape from the city ”

Collins Beach Hotel is a beautiful property in the Latuhalat area, about a half hour drive from Ambon. Nice open grounds facing the beach with large, clean rooms. The hotel is clearly in need of a remodel, especially the bathrooms, but if you are looking for an inexpensive retreat from the city, it's ideal. It's close to the beautiful Pantai Pintu Kota and some great sea views, and the surrounding village is very quiet and suitable for walking around along the coast. However, be prepared for being somewhat removed from easy transport, and know that there are limited places to eat other than the hotel. Also, during my stay, the nearby church started with hymns over the loudspeaker right around dawn, and this went on for nearly half an hour on Sunday morning.

This one stay, I got room with bathroom isnt as clean as before. But still, this hotel is pretty good if you just need a place to lay down and rest. They have activate their wifi in this stay, so I'm happy because internet in Ambon sucks, but their wifi is pretty fast.

Fine hotel in Latuhalat.”

Nice hotel by the beach. Beautiful view over the sea. Friendly people. Some nice beaches nearby. Namalatu and santai are nice.

Cheap hotel at the beach with friendly staff”

I liked it. When it turned out that my room has got no wifi, I was transferred to premium room for free (honestly speaking, there was no much difference in room facilities/condition). Staff allowed me to use hotel bike for free. You can also ask to cook your catch, /i mean fish, but it's better to pay extra 20-25k for this.

Good but not great”

Beautiful garden and sea view. Great breakfast that changes every day. They rent scooters for 100.000 rp per day, which is a little pricy, but necessary because of the location and they have a free laundry service. In our five days, they cleaned the room twice. Reception staff is very nice, restaurant staff not so much, but neither speak proper english. We found four cockroches and hundreds of ants in our room. The bathroom was super dirty and on the bedframe there were multiple smashed mosquitos and stains. The door handle came off a few times. They say that there is a private beach and swimming pool.. there isn’t. It’s just rocks and wall seperating the sea and the land, so it’s not save to swim there. On our first night we woke up at 6:59 by the extremely hard sound of drums.. they were having a celebration without telling us. I think this hotel has a lot of potential, but they should change a lot first.

No Internet in room”

I stayed in an Economy room which was spacious and clean, if a little lacking in character. Breakfast was adequate and the food in general was not bad. Beautiful sea view and passable snorkelling. One reason I booked this place was the advertised “free Wi-Fi in all rooms”, so I was disappointed to find out that there was only Wi-Fi in the reception, not even in the restaurant. I know this is quite normal in Indonesia, but still they shouldn't advertise something they don't have. I asked if they could fix the problem or move me to a room with a working LAN connection, but they said no. Another problem is noise. There's some sort of an improvised truck workshop on the grounds that can be quite noisy in the daytime. But the worst part is the nearby church that plays (sometimes very loud) music from between four and five in the morning, sometimes going on for hours.

We enjoyed our stay here the staff are so kind. We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds and surrounding they have.

Bad experience. The hotel is in remote area”

It was very bad experience to choose this hotel. Actually the yard is good enough but The hotel is very far from airport, is in remote area, and we can't swim to the beach because there are full of rock. After we check in, we was order for lunch in hotel restaurant, but seem the fish is not fresh and we've got stomachache. Don't choose this hotel, you will be very disappointed. The only things is good is the staff is very friendly.

El personal encantador y muy servicial. El restaurante regular. El desayuno bastante básico. Las habitaciones no están mal, pero los baños están sucios y con falta de mantenimiento. En general el hotel tiene muchas posibilidades pero le falta un poco de cariño.
