Clean and good sized accommodation, which could sleep 6 people comfortably. We used this as a one night stop over and suited us well, good location for Oamaru. Friendly staff, good facilities for a short stay or stop over. Would consider staying again. Good location to visit the Little Blue Penguin colony and visit the Victorian town,

Lovely Motel”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Colonial Motor Lodge. My room was perfectly clean and comfortable. e people at the reception were incredibly helpful and courteous. They helped me book a fantastic tour of Omaru and both penguin sites. There was a small but fully equipped kitchen and the internet access was fast and reliable.

Comfortable stay in the beautiful city”

The room is large with all necessary facilities equipped. All staff were very nice and took a good care of our group. We stayed with them on the Easter Friday and they also called the restaurant to checked they open on the holiday or not for our group as well as gave us a wifi password with free of charge. This hotel is centrally located in the city of Oamaru. You can go anywhere in the city within 15 mins driving.

a lovely motel along the main road. free 50m wifi, which is very helpful . a bit away from town centre but it does not matter at all if u drive a car. lovely town.

Clean and sizable room”

Our room was about 350 square feet with good size facilities like nice kitchen and a big table with four chairs. There were heaters in all the bedroom and the living room that made us feel warm all the time. However, although we booked the room around 6 months before our arrival we were given a room near the road which was quite noisy at night. I would suggest the motel can provide drainer for drying dishes and frying pan.

This Motel was perfect for our family of four, with plenty of space and all the amenities we could have possibly needed. It was immaculately presented and very comfortable.

I am a cleaner and I was very impressed at how spotless everything was. Staff were very friendly and they gave us food to feed the llama's which the kids loved. We were super warm and toasty even though it was cold outside thanks to the under floor heating and heaters in all the rooms. Would highly recommend this place.

Clean and friendly”

There were no problems. We we were checked in quickly, given some good information about the town,. The room was very clean, and bed was comfortable. When we booked out, we're were given some extra direction to another site we were glad to visit. Room was much quieter than I thought it would be, given proximity to the road. We had a great sleep. The hotel had no surprises. Great.

A great motel”

Great service, friendly, kindly and lovely. The only one weakness is the Internet. It was very easy to loss connection in Room1 which closed the road and is the most distant to reception. I had to access the Internet out the room.

Disgraceful”

Upon arrival I was greeted by a very rude lady who accused me of lying within 2 mins of being at this motel. Whilst unloading mine and my partners 4 small bags of luggage was I told “you have too much luggage anymore people you have to pay extra”!!!! Which I laughed off but the worst part came when whilst watching the football with 1 of my long time friends who lives in oamaru she banged on the door and demanded I pay an extra 50 dollar!!! Completely embarrass and confused I gave her money and she walk off calling name!! Stay away people!!

It was a great stay, especially full kitchen equipment. The room is very quiet and clean. Love it!

The host very kindly gave us a larger unit than we had ordered. It had everything we needed for a single night. We would stay there again.

Comfortable Family Accomodation”

Our stay was very comfortable and suitable for our extended family ie 4 adults and 2 infants. The playground and spacious garden was a plus and we appreciated being placed at the furthermost end of the units.
