Studio twin room with a view”
We arrived early at the motel at around 12:30pm noon and was able to check-in early as our room was ready. Our unit was Studio Twin Room. We had to take a flight of stairs to our unit. Our unit as one queen bed and a single bed. Has a full equipped kitched. Room was great although a little bit too cold as there was only one heater in living room. There was no heater in the toilet. Toilet floor was freezing cold, had to wear socks. Receptionist was friendly. Bed was a bit too soft for me. Room as a great view. In Queenstown, went for KJet speedboat ride for an hour plus. Parked our rental car on a 15 minutes time limit parking space and received an NZD21.00 fine. Payed the ticket online via credit card. Visited skyline, went for a gondola ride, luge ride and had dinner on the Stratosfare restaurant. Bought souvenirs as well. New Zealand is such a lovely place.

Perfect View ”
What is pity I only stay for a night for transit. The view from our room is Prefect. There is a enough Parking lot for our guests if you are driving. I will come back Colonial Village when I at Queenstown, NZ.

Spectacular view”
Spacious room with attached bathroom and kitchen. The view from the balcony is spectacular. Free car park is provided. A short drive to the city center and airport. There's a bus stop in front of the motel for tour pick up. The down side is the low water pressure. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

My room had a nice view of the lake. And the lady staff (sorry forgot her name) was very helpful! Definitely will stay again if i happen to be in queenstown again!

Exceptional”
My husband and I spent 5 nights here and couldn't be happier. The downside is having to climb steps with our luggage but only had to it once and then again when we left. The view was incredible and the bus stop was right at the front of the Motel going out of town. The city centre was within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. Jenny

Quiet location, sport walk to town centre”
Good location if you preferred to be someone distance away from the noisy town centre. It has a bus stop for Connectabus from Queenstown airport, cross the road will reach the hotel. 20 mins walk to town, can book activities through the motel.

This venue is clean and in a good location. Walking distance to the centre of Queenstown, about 15 minutes brisk walk. The room we had was up 4 flights of steps which was definitely not suitable for those not nimble on their feet. The room had good facilities but the bed was a bit soft.

handy to town and the view is amazing”
Stayed 4 nights. Quick to town and quick to the airport. Yes, there are steps but they carried our luggage up when we arrived. Come on. Who does that anymore? We were first floor and I could lay in bed and see the lake and the Remarkables over my toes. Watched the morning sunrise on our deck with a cup of tea made in our kitchen. Bus pick up for adventures is right in front of the motel also. Stay here.

Good value for Queenstown accommodation at new years booked at short notice. Property while seemed clean and had an awseome view could be improved - get rid the dodgy curtain on the bathroom window next to the loo! Appreciated the clean towels to shower but when they were replaced a new tea towel and dishcloth would have also been good (and unusually facecloths were absent).

Awesome stay with scenic foreground ”
Apt location for any one to stay in Queens-town. Few minutes walk to the city, short distance to airport. Beautiful location with necessary facilities and a decent car park. I would say it is one of the best hotels in my 10 day stay in New-Zealand in different location !

Great quality budget accomodation”
This is budget accomodation with total care put in to it's service, cleanliness and facilities. We had a late check in with the manager taking our call and providing clear instructions including a map to the room, nice touch. Compact , clean and comfortable rooms with great views. About a 15min walk from town but the bus stop is just outside. Very pleasant stay

It is very clean and comfortable. The room is not really big for three peoples but can see the pretty lake view from the room. Bus stop just at front door. The kitchen is fully equipped with stoves and the washroom is newly decorated. Will definitely live again.

Compact unit”
Hi. Do not stay here if you do not like steps! I had trouble navigating the steep steps, although they did give me one of the lower rooms. If you are fit it is a nice place to stay. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Amazing view from the room, free Netflix and the staff were friendly, however the room was really cold in the middle of winter (July). I had the heat pump on the highest setting and the electric blanket on all night and was still really cold. The windows are not double glazed and I don’t think the walls are well insulated. I had to walk up three flights of icy steps with my suitcase to get to my room. The staff member did offer to carry my suitcase up to my room which was nice but I refused because I was going out and wanted to bring it up later. I think for older customers, an elevator (even for luggage) would be a good idea. The bed was comfy and there was a little kitchen where you could prepare your own food. The bathroom was fine and water pressure was good, however the shower was inside the bath and when you stepped inside the bath it felt very uneven, slippery and like it could break! Finally, when I checked in and checked out, there was no one at reception!
