A unique and thoughtful guesthouse”

The location is very near to Lepanto metro stop and one metro stop away from the Vatican, and is within walking distance to the People's square but too far from the center of attractions. There's a large supermarket around the corner facing the river. Eateries are a little far away. The Lepanto metro station has no escalators so it is difficult with heavy luggage. The street below is a little noisy with traffic during the day. But the guesthouse is fantastic. The comical ambience is unique and welcoming. When I arrived shortly before 2pm and rang the bell at the apartment gate, no one responded. The receptionist was out for tea apparently. I was let in by a resident on the same block and then a guest returning to the guesthouse. But other than that the receptionist of the day Daniele was very nice and efficient. An additional city tax of €3.50 per night must be paid in cash upon check in. I was given a 6-bed mixed room with large bathroom attached (two showers without wall in between). A small fridge serves the room and there's a large bedside table for the lower bunks with individual power outlet and bed lamp for each bed. There is a locker with key for each bed, and a hair dryer and soap dispenser in the bathroom. Hot shower is available. But towels are not provided. A narrow L-shaped balcony opens out to the street below with chairs. There's a TV in the lounge. The small but well-equipped kitchen is convenient for cooking and making coffee. There's free pasta and cereals in the cupboard and condiments available. And it's the good place to meet and chat with other guests. Free wifi is good but a bit slow. And the receptionist is helpful in printing my boarding pass. I wish I had booked a couple more nights at Comics and would highly recommend it if you want to stay near the Vatican.

greatest budget hotel for sightseeing in Rome”

We only stayed there for one night, but I wish we could've stayed longer. Rome is such a beautiful city with ancient archtectures everywhere. The room is large, clean, the shower room is a bit small but that seems to be the case in Europe. The best thing about this hotel is that it's only 150 meters away from Lepanto subway station so it's easy to acess the city. The hotel owner is really really nice, we arrived three hours later than scheduled, and he waited for us. We would definitely come back.

loved the neighborhood - very quiet. supermarket and restaurants are nearby. very close to lepanto station loved the huge bathroom in the 6-bed dorm. there was another shared bathroom outside which was very convenient. loved the kitchen too. had the basics and all. very worth the price! i stayed in another hostel in rome, and this one was waaaaay better!

First i make a reservation for stay in comics Guesthouse but when we were there they told us that our room already taken and they already sent us an email but thank for the owner stefano, he told us that he already give us another room in other hotel, and he drop us to movie Guesthouse and give us a nice breakfast ... And we very satisfaction with his service ... He is very nice guy and I am glad that we make the right choice for our hotel in Roma

Furst time ever i stayed at such a unique style if guest house! Room is nice, bed is comfortable! Also in the room there is small fridge! Bathroom is clean, is good location, easy access!

I liked everything about this hostel except for two things. First the bed I slept in was very uncomfortable, the mattress is not firm and I could feel the metal bar under the mattress on my back. Second the outside door is hard to open with the key. I don't know who is responsible for fixing that but it seems like a easy thing to do.

I hope the power of shower more powerfull, a little bit weak it was.”

Just one shared bathroom even there are 5 dorms. It didnt crowded because of non pick season. Not recommended to solo travelers.

Las camas suenan mucho, te quieres voltear y suena tanto que se despiertan todos, y con las literas es igual, se mueven y suenan, la puerta para entrar no abre, y me quede afuera hasta que alguien me pudo abrir la puerta

Unico nel suo stile ”

Ho soggiornato per 4 notti nel dormitorio misto. Sotto tutti gli aspetti è un alloggio che consiglio! È stata l'unica soluzione disponibile in un quartiere di Roma in cui le strutture sono abbastanza costose, mentre il comics guesthouse non solo è economico, ma ha anche validi vantaggi per il prezzo così accessibile. La struttura è pulita, camera in ottime condizioni e spaziosa, con un balcone, letto provvisto di propria luce, confortevole e con prese di corrente accanto; il bagno in comune, ma all'interno della camera, è grande e comodo ; a disposizione gratuitamente asciugamani, phon, prodotti per la doccia e sapone mani, molto apprezzati. Stessa cosa per quanto riguarda la cucina, pratica per fare colazione o preparare da mangiare ; utile che tutto il giorno sono a disposizione caffè, the /tisane. Il WiFi è ben funzionante ; l'area comune con il salotto e la tv è piacevole. Il ragazzo alla reception è stato molto gentile e disponibile, mi ha dato info sulla città ed è stato raggiungibile telefonicamente durante l'orario di chiusura della reception. La struttura si distingue per l'originalità degli arredi e di ogni spazio, a tema fumetti /supereroi ; si nota che è curato con attenzione e per quanto sembri di entrare in un mondo surreale, è divertente vivere questa loro particolarità. La posizione è ottima : la metro Lepanto dista solo 2/3 minuti a piedi e la zona è centrale in Roma, permettendo di raggiungere velocemente le principali attrazioni e vicino a siti di interesse, oltre a numerosi bar e pub. Ci si sente a casa pur a fronte delle bizzarre pareti colorate e disegnate, che comunque rendono l'ambiente vivace. Sicuramente un punto di riferimento per un soggiorno a Roma.
