Excellent”

Clean, location, view

Great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. We were on the 15th floor and had an amazing view of the harbor and city. The hotel was super clean and well maintained. A/C worked but only marginally so room was a little warm at night. Could not have asked for a better location. Close to train station (walking distance), museums, harbor, parks, Busan Tower, etc. The Commodore has to be one of the best kept secrets in Busan. Would definitely stay there again. Very good value was an extra bonus.

Uniquely Designed Hotel”

High quality, spacious rooms.
A bit of a walk to the subway.

The first thing you notice about the Commdore is its design. It looks like an ornate, multi-storied Chinese Pagoda with an incredible amount of detail of its exterior. It is located in a very quiet area a short walk off of one of the main road in Pusan and a 10 minute walk to the Busan Station subway. Near this, is Chinatown and Texas St., full or Russian and Chinese immigrants along with cheaper restaurants and bars. Reputedly a sailor hangout. The Commodore boasts spacious, comfortable rooms with all amenities. Good value for the price.

Design & decor. Excellent hotel bar for relaxation. Leisure facilities. Generous sized room. Great location near to Busan Station and the downtown area. Helpful staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Commodore as we had easy access to all transport options including ferries, KTX trains, subway and buses, with Busan Station just 15 minutes walk away. Ideal base for sightseeing.

Enjoyed a lot the Korean traditional atmosphere hotel”

I brought my Japanese parents and families here, and they loved the atmosphere of whole hotel. The hotel has amazingly well maintained Korean traditional atmosphere even it is in the middle of the big city. And also the room was clean and convenient as modern hotel. The hotel is located 15 min far on foot from Gukje Market area but it is not that hard to take a taxi to there so we didn't feel so inconvenience about location. But the hotel is located on the hill side, if you have big luggage, I recommend you to take a taxi to hotel. Not that far from Busan station.

We loved staying at the historic Commodore hotel. We will definitely return. It is so fun to stay in a place with the pagoda style. Best way to access is a taxi from Busan Station.

Very comfortable stay! ”

Attentive staff, close to main areas, very comfortable rooms

I stayed with my brother here while my parents stayed in another room just opposite us. I only joined my family later but I had the check in was very good, and the hotel staff were very friendly and informative, and getting a taxi was easily available. The design of the hotel was unique, and it was quite close by taxi from the busan station. Pretty easy to get to Gukje Market, Gwangbokro and the major attractions in Jung gu. Our check out was very fuss free and efficient too. Would definitely want to stay here again.

A classic”

The most amazing interior, large room, great location
Having to pay for internet connection in your room, restaurants a little pricey

This is a classic hotel, perhaps built in the '50's with the most sumptuous, ornate and unusual interior and exterior. A real treat and would recommend at least a night there. It is a restful and quiet place after walking the busy streets of Busan. Price reasonable for such generous accommodation. Just a 10 min walk down the hill to the most incredible fish markets I have ever seen (more than Tsukiji in Tokyo).

Warm and cozy with an ancient feel”

Fast Wifi at the lobby and great picture taking of the hotel from the outside

Commodore hotel is widely known by the taxi drivers and is situated about 10 minutes walk from Busan train station. The rooms are generally clean but the furnishings are a bit old to match the decor. It was quite a comfortable stay. The area is quite hilly but presents a better view from the rooms. It is two stations away from the fish market where you can spend a day going around the market and the local stores which offers pretty much anything you need.

Very unique building, quality hotel”

The allure of the Commodore is definitely the building itself. Very cool place to stay. Everything was clean. Most staff were nice enough - not the friendliest ever but nice enough. The indoor pool was a refreshing way to start the day. It was great that when I asked for a high floor with a good view they upgraded us to a twin room on the 2nd highest floor.
All the extras in the room that would be included at a low budget motel (razors, toothbrushes, water, etc.) cost 3 times their worth.

I really enjoyed staying at the Commodore, and felt like I was living in luxury. It's a bit of a walk to get to the tourist spots but only about a 5-10 min walk downhill from the hotel to Busan Station where you can easily catch a subway. I was amazed at the level of detail used in the architecture and design of the building. It is definitely somewhere I would stay again in the future.

spcaious comfortable rooms

my 4th stay at this hotel and shortest stay due to nature of business trip. wi-fi in lounge and lobby area works well an is free. internet access in business centre on desktop also speedy and free. wired internet in rooms is expensive. lots of new staff but still helpful at all times. omfortable and good size rooms well serviced. in house dining and drinks are a bit pricey. plenty of options to eat out near by which are cheaper and good quality. close to busan station, market and short taxi drive to good upmarket lotte department store.

Nice hotel”

Friendly staff, Room had nice view of the port, Close to Busan station and high stand living conditions.
Room service portions were small, far from beach and lively nightlife.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel it was of the finest quality. It had friendly staff that were always at hand and willing to help out. My room had a nice view of the port and surrounding areas. I found its close proximity to Busan station very convenient. Its only draw back is that it is far from the beach and requires a lengthy cab ride which could be costly. I found the metro the most efficient way to reach the beach. If you are interest in nightlife you would need to take a cab at night time to the more lively areas. The metro is open late, so when you head out so this would be the cheapest option, but on the way back a cab is definitely required. Cabs are generally very cheap by UK standards. This hotel is a great place for business travelers, couples or those looking for somewhere calm and quiet to settle down.

Very impressive, staff could be friendlier”

Location, clean, beautiful decor

This was one of three hotels we stayed at in South Korea. It was my favorite for decor, it was beautiful and really made our stay special because it was very unique. The beds were hard as were all the beds we slept in while in S. Korea; it must be a cultural thing. The concierge staff was wonderful as were the bellboys. The front desk staff were not very nice. But you really only deal with them on check in and check out. I loved the location it was close to all we wanted to do and the Taxi drivers knew its location by name. I was only really disappointed by the beds in the room we got. I had requested one Double or Queen and one twin as shown on the picture when I selected this room rate. We were put into a room with 3 twins and when asked if they could move us they showed us a room with 2 twins (like 3 people could sleep in that) and told us that was the only other room type they had. The room across the hall from us was just as pictured on the website, but that was just how the front desk staff was. I would stay here again.
