The facilities are beautiful (gym, pool, spa), the food was delicious, and the rooms/beds were perfect to help fight/cure jet lag.

Excellent hotel for a relaxing holiday ”
My husband and I were traveling with our seven month old baby girl, so we were looking for a spacious hotel with lots of good facilities and dining options. Metropolitan fits the bill in most aspects; we joined our large metropolitan room even when we had a baby cot in it. We were on a gastronomy holiday so it is helpful that Nahm (Asia top 50 restaurant) is within the hotel. Best of all is the Como Shambhala massage that both of us had - so worth splurging on. If you like a minimalist theme you will like the hotel room. I wasn't too into it but my husband loved it. The amenities and bathrobe is awesome though. They also have complementary yoga classes every morning and evening. Location wise, they are close to all the major malls and some good restaurants such as Issaya Siamese Club. So if you are looking for a lovely hotel to chill in Bangkok, Metropolitan will be an affordable and wise option.
Amazing hotel, my favorite hotel in Bangkok”
This is my favorite hotel in Bangkok. Amazing pool, amazing rooms - spacious and well equipped, super comfortable bed and clean -, good food at both the pool, Glow and the Met (Nahm is rather disappointing in terms of food - but not the setting! - and overpriced but this is a separate restaurant and the object of a separate review that I wrote). Staff at the reception and at the spa is good overall albeit sometimes a bit inconsistant service on my second visit - depending on who you are dealing with). Staff at the pool is perfect however. Amazing limousine airport pick up - super comfortable, affordable and nice driver who drives safely :) The wifi in the car is available but didn't seem to work however. Gym is amazing and with a Powerplate machine!... Free snacks and bottled water (bananas, the fruit for exercice on top of just apples would be a big plus!). Talking about bottled water, one little thing: every single bottle has a plastic sealing around the cap, which really is a waste for the environment (the "click" sound from opening the bottle is enough to guarantee security, come on!!!). Amazing spa and massages, if you can afford these. Good daily yoga classes. One little thing, which I mentioned in my very first review for this hotel when I visited in 2015: the wifi at the gym is really really bad if not inexistant, which seems to be a little detail but is really, really annoying if, like me, you need to stream your music when exercising.... Please COMO, do sort this out! Amazing stay overall, I will keep recommending this hotel again and again and will return on my next visit. Congrats COMO. One thing: the location isn't bad but if you want to be close to all restaurants and bars, you may not want to stay around Sathorn road.
Great hotel, well-designed, huge roomsq”
sathorn as a location makes things a little difficult for vacation but not unmanageable if you have patience to deal with bangkok traffic and cabbies. for business, the location is pretty good (only beaten by wireless road hotels). other than that, the stay was perfect. service was great, even if not quite as polished as at hotels like the oriental and the sukhothai. nahm restaurant is amazing, consistently one of my best dining experiences in bangkok. the design of the hotel is warm, inviting and unique. details like the como shambhala bathroom products, robes and bed linen made our stay that much more pleasant and the rooms have to be among the biggest in bangkok for the price. one thing that could be improved is the shower - the place needs a rain shower head.
Boutique hotel with warm, friendly service”
I first stayed at The Metropolitan Bangkok 5 years ago and really enjoyed my stay so when I was heading back to Bangkok again, I was really keen to stay here again. My second experience was just a good as my first. The hotel provided a warm welcome to me upon arrival, check-in was quick and my room was lovely. I especially like how you always get a complimentary bowl of fruit in your room. I ordered room service both for dinner and breakfast and the selection and quality of the food was excellent. I also used the spa to have a massage and it was very good and reasonably priced for a hotel. I didn't have time to use the pool but it looked lovely. The only negative I would say is that there is not free wifi in the hotel rooms, but you can use the free wifi if you sit in the hotel lobby. I will definitely return to The Metropolitan Hotel Bangkok on my next trip.
Can't Get Any Better When You're Already The Best”
The Metropolitan Bangkok is just the coolest hotel in Bangkok and quite possible the world... I know it's a huge statement but the vibe is just so right. The staff are helpful and attentive without being overtly so. The restaurants are just right, Como Shambhala spa is exquisite, Met Bar is very cool and exclusive and the public spaces and pool area are divine, oh, and Mariah and Kylie have both stayed there...lol
Spacious room, Excellent staff, Good facilities”
I used to stay in another hotel nearby, but its pool is recently under renovation and therefore I chose Como Metropolitan this time. Everything is much more than I expected. Excellent and professional staff. Spacious room and hearty room services. The pool is great and worth spending a long time there. I will definitely choose Como Metropolitan when I go to BKK next time.
Excellent Stay - COMO never disappoints”
We are big fans of COMO hotels and have high expectations every time we stay at one - we were not disappointed at The Metropolitan COMO. Service was top notch from all staff & we were made to feel very welcome from the manager Rohan Chandra who always took the time to check in and chat with guests. The pool is lovely, food at breakfast and Nahm was top notch, spa was fab - can’t ask for more really. The only minor minus is that it is not next door to a BTS station but free shuttles are provided every hour and the MTR is an easy 5 mins walk away. Will definitely stay again. Thumbs up to the COMO team
From the moment we arrived, the staff from Rohan the manager down were fantastic. This is how all hotels should be. We travel constantly and this is for me the best. I have been traveling to Bangkok and the rest of Thailand regularly for 26 years and was amazed by the metropolitan! I have been using the same hotels in sathorn for a long time and fancied a change . Will definitely be staying here from now onwards. Special mention for Jack at the pool area ( I knew him from a previous hotel) , who provided great friendly efficient service. Had dinner at nahm in the hotel and this was a truly memorable meal. Fantastic value suite as well . Don't stay anywhere else for a 5 star experience.
Great service, great space, great location”
the hotel is very well located along sathorn. while being a heavy road, the sidewalks are actually very walkable by bangkok standards. a few good restaurants, cafes, and even silom were accessible by foot. we had the metropolitan room which was big and comfortable. there was generous provision of drinking water and toileteries. the nahm restaurant in the hotel was fabulous, really living up to its reputation. the pool was unfortunately east facing, so don't expect to get much sun in the afternoon.
beautiful hotel, lovely finishes”
I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Bangkok but I always make sure I spend my last 3 days at the Metropolitan. Why? Because it's so relaxing. The service is always good, the staff are all friendly and attentive. The room are well appointed with hard wood floors and wall partitioning. I got the smallest room (city room) this time and was just as pleased as I have been with it as I have with much larger suites. I spent alot of time lying by the pool. The breakfast restaurant was pretty good. They were aiming for a healthy, tasty mix and it's pretty spot on. I liked the wheat grass decorations in the cafe too. My main gripe about the hotel is the location. There really isn't that many places to eat around here. It's fine if you want to walk 10 minutes to Sala Daeng but if you are a bit tired it's a drag having to plan an outing. The hotel food is pretty expensive for Bangkok but then it is a hotel afterall.... It's pretty cheap getting taxis around Bangkok and the staff were very good about hailing reliable cabs for me. I would recommend this hotel if you just want to hang around the grounds or Sala Daeng. I liked Sala Daeng...there is alot of weird stuff going on. The plus side of the out of the way location is that it is quiet and nice, a great respite from the bustle, dirt, and relentless chaos of Bangkok.
Truly world class service witha deeply humble yet courteous smile. My room perfect, wonderful hotel”
Truly world class service with a deeply humble yet courteous smile. My room perfect, it's proportions were vast, the cleanliness spotless, and the legendary service leaves an indelible print on your. The food was spectacular, in essence I really cannot fault the hotel. I was traveling for business and will most assuredly return and next time bring my family to rest and revive here before we head up to the coast. Thank you COMO Metropolitan.
Always a pleasure of staying here”
It has been my 3rd time this year visiting BKK and staying at Como Metropolitan. Everything is wonderful as usual, including friendliness of staff at front desk, Glow restaurant, pool, spa, etc. Though someone may complain that the location is a bit far from BTS, I specially like this as I enjoy the 15 min walk to BTS and pass by the local food stalls. Hotel facilities are maintained in good condition, and it is no doubt that I would stay here again when I visit BKK next time.
Last time i visited Bangkok i was taken here for lunch by some friends of mine living in Bangkok - and i was impressed by the look and service - so this time around i decided to give it a whirl. The Metropolitan is a fantastic designer boutique hotel for those who expect and care for the details. I stayed here for three days, and ended spending most of two by the pool. I felt fabulously cared for here and was upgraded to a metropolitan room which was spacious, chic and comfortable. However - one thing - if you want to see the touristy sights of Bangkok, the location in the heart of the business district is a little out of the way. Not too far, but it can be a little difficult when traffic is gridlock. Yes, Sala Deng station is not too far walk (around 10 minutes), but this seems to be the only way to get around as traffic in the afternoon in Bangkok is generally more akin to a parking lot. But if you want to stay local, or get about in off peak times then this is perfect. I'd also highly recommend checking out Vertigo on top of the Banyan tree next door for some high altitude drinks, and i had a fabulous thai dinner at Taling Pling thai which is a good brisk walk away...
Beautiful Understated Glamour”
my husband and i stayed at the metropolitan for two nights in november 2012 on the last leg of our thai honeymoon, and it was. we were incredible impressed with our room (metropolitan size), which was designed in a minimalist and spacious style. the bathroom was large with big mirrors, a large tub and shower, and carefully chosen complimentary products. the bed was very big, and the entire room (particularly the lighting features) created a beautiful, glamorous atmosphere. it was our honeymoon and the hotel was lovely enough to send up a bottle of complimentary prosecco, chocolates and green tea on our first evening - which was an unexpected surprise which we very much appreciated. the gym and spa areas were fantastic and very underused (which was great for me!). the outside pool was huge and again, well designed. breakfast was lovely - i really appreciated that there were healthy options. we visited the met bar on our first night (we live in london and have been to the london branch many times over the years) - and whilst the cocktails and service was of a high standard we were surprised at the lack of people - the place was completely empty on a thursday night. it was a bit a disappointing. on our last night we visited the restaurant nahm for the a la carte menu and we had a great time - the service was incredible, the food very impressive (although some courses were extremely hot!) and the price reasonable considering the standard of cuisine on offer. overall we were very, very happy with our stay at the met and would most definitely recommend.
Preferred business hotel”
metropolitan bangkok hotel is a business like hotel. efficient, effective and professional. we had a company training there and the staff hotel was very responsive towards our needs. all things needed were there - supporting the training session smoothly. required stationaries were readily available. water was always replaced.snacks were wonderful. tea and coffee were available at all times; and the hotel staff was there to serve us, even to pour hot water over our tea choice. in addition, the hotel staffs were kind enough to take care of me when i fall sick during my stay - called the hotel nurse to check up on me, sent flower to cheer me up, and set up a hotel car to send and pick me up from bnh hospital every day. i'm grateful for their kind hearts.
Metropolitan rooms is huge but not empty. The room are equipped with all ameneties and it feels more like a studio apartment than only a room. The bathroom are huge too with seperate showers & bath tub. The Como Fitness Centre are equally great with Jacuzzi & Steam room and a well equipped gym. The only setback will be the swimming pool that get only 4 hours of sunlight in the morning (8a.m. - noon) due to the high rise building surrounding the hotel.
This is my sixth stay at the Metropolitan. It is always pleasant. the staff are friendly and professional. The vibe at the hotel is designer-eco luxe. There are organic, gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu. The toiletries are the best - eucalyptus and/or lemongrass scented. I did notice while relaxing in bed that something in the room was making me feel very comfortable and worked out that someone had designed the interior of the room very cleverly - it feels contemporary, clean but not sterile. The beddings are very luxurious, lovely sheets and wide, soft pillows. The pool area is nice if a bit dull. The area is not so great for walking around. Salaeng Deng is the closest strip and is seedy. I would stay at this hotel if you planned to have the whole 'spa' experience or if you were OK with getting taxis everywhere or you had business in Silom or Sathorn.
Beautiful hotel with exception service”
We chose the Metropolitan Bangkok after a rave review from one of my friends. We were not disappointed! The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly even though our arrival at the hotel was after midnight. The room was spacious and relaxing with a wonderful pool. The location was pretty good as it was next to the Banyan Tree hotel but we still had to take taxis to get to different areas of the city.
Excellent service as usual”
We continue to be drawn back to this hotel. The new manager introduced himself to us (which was nice) and we were not shy about confirming that he has a well trained and dedicated staff who go out of their way to assist. The Metropolitan is a 5 star design hotel which offers good value for money and is an oasis in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The Metropolitan room is large..with all amenities...the signature products are luxurious...We were impressed to see that free wi fi is now available throughout the hotel. We love the large swimming pool. Glow restaurant has tried and tested menu. We were given vouchers for cocktails at the Met Bar and for wine with a meal. We'll come back.
Stylish hotel with excellent service”
This was our 2nd stay at the Metropolitan and we will definitely stay again when next in Bangkok. While some other hotels will provide you with more 'traditional' luxury and perhaps more services, the Metropolitan provides a more stripped back, yet stylish boutique experience. If you like a modern, design-led hotel then this is for you. The fact that it's relatively small also makes it feel somewhat more relaxed compared to the larger hotels with reams of people constantly traipsing through the lobby. The staff are excellent, both friendly and attentive. The restaurant was superb, serving up authentic Thai cuisine.
