Superb hotel with awesome view”

I have always love Como hotels. This is my second time to Phuket and first time staying at Como Point Yamu and love everything here especially the Phang Nga Bays view. The hotel is located a little far from the airport (30mins) but that is what we intended as we would like to explore a little further. The hotel is less crowded and quiet in which we loved it. Thai food here is delicious and it was under Naam (same as the one at Bangkok) but a little pricey. There is another italian resraurant in the hotel too and the food served is delicious too. There is a private beach belongs to Como in which the travelling time from hotel takes about 30mins but the hotel will provide the transfer. We love the beach and we spent about 3 hours there relaxing and had lunch there before heading back to hotel. we always love the breakfast served at Como as on top of the selections of salad, bread, fruits , cereal and yogurt they do serve a selection of breakfast menu which you have to order and it is hot from kitchen. We engaged the local ground tour arranged by the hotel to Phang Nga Bay on our second day. The tour (Siam Adventure) was great, safe and reliable. The tour was managed professionally by the local tour centre and service was great (as we had bad experience in our stay with other hotel). Overall we had a memorable and enjoyable stay with Como Point Yamu.

Relaxing stay with a stunning view ”

After the horror encountered in another hotel in Phuket near patong beach I was ready to write off Phuket forever.. That was before we headed to Point Yamu by Como. It turned out to be a place where once you step in, don't feel like leaving. Rather than the heat I felt back near patong beach, Point Yamu by Como was cooling with a light breeze from the sea. The room was more amazing than we imagined, photos we saw on the internet definitely failed to do the room justice. Not to mention that it was ultra clean, the service staff even remove their shoes when they enter your room, whether to deliver your luggage or clean your room. This is definitely one hotel you can feel at ease walking around bare foot! Food was also amazing, especially the Thai restaurant! We ordered so much, and pretty much everything we ordered turned out good! The Phad Thai jackfruit curry clams mango sticky rice etc etc were Super yummy! Even though we shared, I'm very sure I could have polished off one portion of Phad Thai and one portion of mango sticky rice myself!! They also have healthier food options under the spa menu - loved the lentil burger, which was choked full of veggies, tomatoes, avocado and other healthy beans but still mega yummy! We were also told that they serve free ice cream from 2-4pm :) first day was an ice lolly, second day was...... Liquid nitrogen vanilla bean ice cream! Massively high tech freshly made on the spot ice cream! Was going to walk away when I first heard vanilla bean but I'm so glad I didn't! Seriously the best vanilla ice cream I've tasted. Rich creamy but not too sweet. You can add toppings to it too!! Polished it off and regretted not getting 2 scoops haha~ Visited the spa once for a Thai massage and the service was really awesome! Not to mention they reserved the best view of the Andaman sea for the spa :) All this comes at a price thought~

Excellent stay with impeccable service”

I love my stay at COMO Point Yamu and it was everything I had expected and more. It was my friend's and my first time staying at a COMO resort and we were there to surprise my friend for her birthday. Our butlers Nutty and Jane provided excellent service and we were pleasantly surprised every step of the way - from the quality of amenities and activities in house to the thoughtful touches by the service crew - for eg chocolates by the bedside or constant refill of iced water when we were lazing by the pool. They even managed to retrieve our watermelon float which had floated out of our pool at our private villa into the forest below and returned it to us! (we didn't tell them that our pool had dropped down so we have no idea how they knew the float belonged to us). They helped us with the planning of several surprises and did such a wonderful job. The resort is gorgeous, the rooms are clean, and everything was just splendid. Thank you for the marvellous experience, team COMO Point Yamu

We absolutely loved our stay at COMO Point Yamu. Our 2 bedroom villa overlooking the Andaman Sea was just to die for. The architecture and design of the hotel is brilliant with everything so chic and well considered. Our butlers, Natty and Faii, we’re just delightful. The food was fantastic in both restaurants. There are also a couple of other restaurants nearby if a change of scenery is required called Taste Yamu (western food) and Lay Yamu (local Thai restaurant). The beach club was fun to visit for a one off day trip and the Elephant Sanctuary is a great experience especially for kids. All of the staff were kind and wonderful to us and our children. We love the COMO Hotels concept and this is another of their spectacular successes.

Amazing 3-BR Villa”

Totally amazing stay with COMO. This is my 2nd visit to COMO Point Yamu but my first time in their villa. The villa stay was an outstanding experience. Gorgeous view + perfect infinity pool + amazing service from the villa butlers Pom and Nicky. The villa offered free laundry services (5 pcs per day per person), free mini-bar items (refilled daily) and free afternoon snacks delivered daily. I wasn't that impressed with the Thai restaurant in the hotel (overpriced, small portions and not that great), but the in-room dining options were sumptuous. Staff all around the property were very friendly and carried themselves very well. Location of Point Yamu is a little isolated - everything is at least 20 to 30 mins away - but we didn't need to travel out much at all.

Fantastic vacation with wonderful sea view ”

The breathtaking ocean view from the suite and from the pool area. Great spa experience. Well organised activities and great food.

It is simply the best hotel to stay in Phuket. We will return for the great sea view and delicious food.. The activities such as spa, yoga, flower arrangement, boat cruise to nearby island are simply wonderful. Although the location is not central and away from town, the panaromic view of the ocean and decor of the hotel as well as the great hospitality of the staff and wonderful Thai restaurant and hearty breakfast spread will certainly draw us back to this hotel. Many thanks to the helpful staff of como point yamu to make our vacation truly memorable.

A great getaway with an awesome service”

I have read and heard a lot of this resort, it is what people say. Awesome! The hotel lies at the edge of Point Yamu. It is about 45 minutes drive (without traffic) from the Phuket International Airport. The rooms are beautiful while being very functional and comfortable. I stayed at the Veranda Room which have a small area outside of the room to chill. Given that the location of the hotel being far from commercial area. It is closest 7-11 is 5 KM away, which cost THB 400 for a round trip via taxi. It provides excellent restaurant at affordable pricing. There was great selection of food and alcohol to choose from. The service of the staffs were beyond what I have expected. Friendly, helpful and informative. The pool area is large with children friendly features over-looking the sea. The pool bar is open through the day to late at night. The hotel organizes activities like kickboxing, Yoga and flower arrangement. Some are chargeable some are free. It is well equipped gym with spa fac

Lovely Stay at Point Yamu Resort”

We were greeted by spectacular views surrounding the hotel. Beautiful architecture by Paulo Navone. Love aquamarine color used in the very spacious room.

Lovely stay at Point Yamu. Wish I could stay a little longer to truly experience their hospitality. What sets Point Yamu apart is the spectacular sea views, the architecture and hotel interiors and its almost immaculate service. You are greeted by a 360 degree sea view practically everywhere you go. My room had an awesome sea view, a huge round bath for a long nice dip. Bed was very comfortable although I do wish they can have their signature welcome drink available by pot in the room. I just cant get enough of that refreshing drink! Breakfast was a great variety of specially concocted fruit juices and good assortment of thai, chinese and western spread. The only down side was, I wish the staff at the pool can be more attentive. I had to ask twice for the menu. The trip to a private beach was also a let down as i was expecting a nicer beach with clearer water. Otherwise, everything is perfect here. Will be back for a longer stay.

Much Ado About Nothing”

If you are keen on a relaxing holiday to essentially do aboslutely nothing, then COMO Point Yamu is for you. Every conceivable need has been pre-empted, whether you are travelling as a couple or as a family. The only 'downside' is that the location is rather remote, if you want to go to Phuket Town, it is pretty much a day trip. Then again, if you are up for doing nothing, why are you going to town?

Very nice holiday”

So far the best place we stayed in Phuket. What i love the most is the cleanliness of the towels & bedding. Beach Club is also amazing but quite far away (30-40 mints by car then 20 mints by boat). Location is great for city escape, Love Yamu, so peaceful place to be.... BUT BUT taxi is extremely expensive (Cost THB1600-2000) for round trip. Hotel restaurant got very limited choice and especially Thai restaurant is way over priced ( Tripled ) the price with very limited choose and portion also little. Sadlly we we walk in, the whole restaurant is kinda empty. Breakfast is awesome : got Gluten free option and healthy options., Fresh coconuts everyday ... Kids menu not too good... suggesting to review the kids menu. One more thing : the reception should telling the guest to not put room card close to mobile phone... because in 4 days, more than 3 times our room card not working and need to be reset over and over again. Until last day i learned...

Como Yamu is one of the best wellness retreat hotel. The view of every corner of the hotel is breathtaking. It is calming everywhere you look, surrounded by the sea view and water feature of the hotel. There are two restaurants in the hotel. Both are okay. Fresh ingredients but not the best menu. I tried the veggie burger and it wasn't as good as i expected it to be and same goes with the salad. The thai food is great. Activities : They have a private beach club that you can go but other than that there are not many activities provided within the hotel area as activities like yoga, kick boxing, village tour are limited. The hotel is far from any nearest town and shuttle service is not provided. I went for what i thought a yoga retreat but the instructor was not that good. Overall como will always be one of my fav hotel. The hotel service and the hotel itself is breathtaking.

A wonderful getaway”

Simply luxurious. Great food with friendly staff.

An amazing getaway spot, tucked in a quiet corner of Phuket. We are lucky to get an upgrade to the Bay Pool suite. Love the pool adjacent the bedroom and the huge bathroom. Food is amazing at both restaurants (La Sirena Italian Restaurant or Nahmyaa Thai Restaurant) and the service staff is always there to make the stay a memorable one. All in all, a wonderful weekend with Point Yamu. Thank You for the hospitality and wonderful memories.

Perfect until the Prawn Roll”

Romantic, Breath-taking views and Great Service

My partner and I spent a couple of days in the Khao Sok National Park before we arrived at Point Yamu for a bit of RnR. We spent a total of four days at the property. The location is slightly out of Patong (which I was happy about - perfect for a romantic getaway) and the Italian theme/decor was a refreshing change from the corporate type hotels that I normally stay at for business travel. The Spa is absolutely fantastic - we had a couple room and the views as you enjoy your massage are absolutely breath-taking. The staff are friendly, attentive and well-spoken. Unfortunately my partner contracted Gastro while we were at the hotel. I know this because we didn't eat outside the hotel for the last two days of our stay and she started to feel the effects on the last day of our stay. She was hospitalized in Singapore for the day we were in transit in Singapore and then admitted in hospital when we returned to Australia. The deputy GM of the hotel did see us on the way out and offered us his sincere apologies but not much more than that unfortunately. Would I go back? Yes. To the hotel's defence they are still in the soft opening phase so I expect they are working through the teething issues. Still there is no excuse for poor food quality standards. Hopefully my next visit will be a more pleasant one.

A Prefect Getaway for Serenity and Peace”

Superb Views, Great Food and Excellent Service

This was our first time staying in a Como resort. As we deliberately wanted a quiet holiday, therefore, we decided to choose this resort over the rest more popularly located at Patong Beach. Como is situated right in the middle of a point that extends out to the ocean and the rooms are architect in a way that you will get to see a superb view from either side of the point. As we drove into the resort, we realised that hotel rooms were only part of the offerings. Many luxury villas were still in the midst of construction. But we were pleasantly surprised that none of the noise affected us in any way. The overall design of the space was clean, minimalistic and quite understated. So be prepared that that you won't get to experience opulence like any mega 5 stars brands hotels. Having said that, the service level was top notch. We were welcomed personally by Warapot the front office manager who gave us a rundown of the place, the complimentary activities etc. The main activity here is really just to chill and relax so you are better off at Patong area if our itch for more happenings. Big thumbs up for food. The breakfast is so delightful, offering a great variety of healthy choices. Love their Como breakfast menu which offers specially crafted healthy dishes. We also tried the Italian and Thai restaurants and both times left us feeling satiated. The only downer for us was the room. Greatly spacious but somehow lack some thoughts in creating comfort. The lounge chairs were not meant for long sitting and we hope that there could be some chairs outside the balcony to enjoy the superb view. Strange thing was that even the simplest toothbrush was not given. With those aside, superiority of the views and the customer service gave the brand an edge over the others.

First of all I have to say that even though this is a great hotel to stay at, I believe that the rooms are a little overpriced. The location itself is in the middle of nowhere which is nice for some quiet time, however it is a terrible location if you want to leave the hotel complex to explore other restaurants / things to do etc. Apart from that, i have to say that the Como point is one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world and the staff will bend over backwards to accommodate any request that you have. We booked a standard pool villa suite and were upgraded upon arrival to the next suite up on the price bracket which was a nice surprise. The room was incredible and the pictures on the website really don't do it justice. The room was huge with a beautiful main bathroom and a smaller seperate bathroom with toilet and shower which was cool. The private infinity plunge pool was quite large and had an amazing view, however it was unusable at night due to the mosquitoes

An exercise in understated style”

The service, the spacious rooms, the food

We were looking online for hotels and we were tossing up between Como and a few other ones. Como was the furtherest from civilisation, a little pricier and the photos made the hotel look a little spartan. Boy were we wrong. Perched on top a hill, the views of the ocean are everywhere, from the pool, the restaurant, the spa, your room, you name it. The hotel space and rooms are absolutely stunning. The photos online don't do the hotel justice. The room is so spacious and comfortable we had to drag ourselves out every morning. Breakfast was delicious, the spa was amazing and worth every pricey cent. The pool is great for hanging out and the Thai restaurant, Nahmyaa was a highlight- southern Thai street food. Yes it is far from everything else. There's no getting around that. We drove and it took us roughly an hour to get to anywhere else in the island. But if you're just there for a weekend, there really is no pressing reason for you to leave the hotel. And yes, it is pricey. But the cheapest room- the veranda room was more than adequate and pretty plush already. The spa was also pricey, but somewhat worth it. Here's a tip- you don't have to pay for the spa to use their other facilities- smaller pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna. It's located above the main pool and it's more private.

Ideal for those seeking to recharge ”

This is my family’s second stay in Point Yamu, the first being around three years ago. We absolutely loved it when we visited as a small family of three and we decided to bring our mums and aunts along for this trip. The youngest member of the group is 2 and the oldest 79. I must say the staff is still outstanding, from the friendly manager who greeted us upon arrival to the very patient Thai boxing instructors who guided my wife and I through the basics of the martial art. Special mention must go to our ever-present butlers Jim and Jane and the fabulous Umi at the Kids’ Club. She’s my daughter’s favourite person in the place after her mum and grandmas. Possibly ahead of the father too. The breakfast spread at La Sirena is great, and the folks are obliging with off-menu orders too. While we enjoyed the food at Nahmyaa, it wasn’t as good as we remembered it to be, especially the crab curry and durian dessert. It’d be great if there’re more activities for older folks as well.
