Perfectly located in Sihanoukville is this hotel, one of the latest hotels with well appointed rooms providing utmost comfort. Make use of every corner of the property, first enjoy breakfast on The Terrace, overlooking the world around, and later dine by the pool within a tropical garden setting with dim lights and a relaxed environment. Unwind at the on-site Jacuzzi or the massage spa after wandering around the city. Guests can choose to participate in the quiz, which is held every Monday at The Outback Bar, or just chill with a drink. Sample the freshest seafood and Cambodian dishes cooked by an experienced chef. Coolabah Hotel is managed by the Western staff to keep all the services up to standard.

Great location . Rooms are alittle pricey but you will get good value due to location. All staff are super helpful and friendly. Awesome in-house laundry service. The fellow in the restaurant take pride in mixing cocktails. I would stay here again.
Good hotel ”
Coolabah hotel has everything you need Great location! Reception staff are wonderful and go out of there way to solve any issues you may have. Cleaning staff need to pay more attention to details when cleaning rooms! Would stay again !
Chill out place”
Rooms are old but considering the price it alright. Near everything and the food at the outback restaurant is good and affordable. Near lots of casino and beside Utopia if you want to have late nights. Sihanoukville is pretty quiet and an acquired taste so rest and relax in Coolabah is ok.
Great location and staff”
The Coolabah at very good for the level of hotel it is. The room I had was well maintained and clean, plenty big enough for me as a solo traveller, and everything worked which is rare when travelling in SE Asia! It is not a huge 5 star resort and doesn't pretend to be. It is in a great location to get to the beach, dive shops, bars, etc. The pool is small but does the job and the restaurant provides a good range of food for reasonable prices. The staff are a highlight, very happy to help or simply have a chat! They young man behind reception was most helpful when my (Cambodia Air) flight was cancelled with little notice. He quickly sorted a bus for me. When I go back to Sihanoukville I will use this hitel again.
I liked staying here. It's got a great location, friendly staff and good food. I also felt that the security of this location was better than other places that I read about which is important in the city center.
Great base for exploring the area”
It felt safe, clean and the facilities were perfect for us with young kids. The pool is in the courtyard, to which the ground floor rooms open straight onto, we were in a family room on the first floor, room 18. It had two singles and a double and was nice and spacious as well as quiet and dark for sleeping. The food at the hotel was great, there was a wide-enough ranging menu and some nice Western breakfast options including oatmeal, toast and eggs, pancakes (American style) as well as hot (British style) vegetarian and meat. We were there over Christmas and enjoyed a hot cooked "British roast" style lunch complete with Yorkshire puddings which was a nice surprise. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a spa on site as well and the therapists there are very nice.
Good location, great staff”
First time visit to sihanoukville. Attracted to the hotel by the aussie name. Very good location. Able to walk down the hill 5 mins to the beach where all the seafood bbq restaurants are. Also minimart, bike rental, laundries, many restaurants lining the street. Staff at the hotel were great. Very friendly and helpful. Hired a bike and visited otres beach but found it ok for a visit but not to stay. Unless you really just want to chill out and do nothing but lounge around the beach all day.but the road in front of all the bungalows there is a dirt road and lots of potholes.when it rains big puddles everywhere. Anyway preferred to be in center of town close to the beach. Stayed in a premium double room. Quite satisfied with it. Wi fi connection was good. Didnt eat brekky at the hotel so cant comment on it. Lots of places around to eat. Hotel has nice little pool but swam at the beach. Caught the blue ibis bus from phnom penh. Their bus depot is only a short way away should only be a 2 dollar ride not 4 as we were charged.so watch out for the tuk tuk drivers there who swarm over when the bus pulls in. Anyway we were very happy with the hotel and would stay there again..again must say found the staff great!
Still friendly and enjoyable”
About three years after my first stay and two management changes later I stayed again at the Coolabah Hotel in Sihanoukville. The place was as friendly as before and Agoda got us some attractive rates, thanks to the low season. The hotel has a good kitchen and when the weather is too hot you could spend your time between pool and restaurant. I was upgraded to a terrace room and that was terrific. Comfortable and clean and great bathroom. How long will Sihanookville remain cheap compared to Thailand? That is the burning question when considering the changes taking place on the beach front and other beaches. Enjoy when you can!
Wonerful Hotel !”
The Staff & Manager are like one family Ready to help every customer - they book all your tours and also have their own Tuk Tuk. The hotel restaurant has amazing breakfasts and dinners - I Always ate there - Local & western dishes even Sunday Roast :) The rooms are very clean - powerful shower, cozy matress and great AC, Many foreign TV Stations, they give you towels for the beach which is just a 5 minute walk - behind hotel block have Bars Square for nightlife :)- they also have a pool for a dip after the hot day :) - I Stayed 5 nights and it was one amazing hotel feel so relaxed & Welcome - @breakfast always chatted with hotel manager Stan - He's so friendly & helpful !
Great place, great value, great location”
Coolabah Hotel is well located near the nightlife of Sihanoukville, with several bars within walking distance. You can even rent a motorbike just next door and ride to the many beaches. If not, you can just walk to Serendipity Beach and spend your day there relaxing.
A good place to stay while in Sihanoukville”
The location of Coolabah is excellent - easy access to all major hot spots! The restaurant is very good and the staff is always very friendly and willing to help and assist when asked. Unfortunately I feel the price of the rooms were a bit too high for what it actually was - but when factoring in all of the +'s it was overall ok.
3 nights in Sihanoukville”
Unfortunately we thought the room was smaller than in the pics and information. Also all the rooms were accessed by a common outside walkway, (so everyone passed your room window & door on the way to their room). Also, there was a sitting area outside our room where people sat and chatted and smoked. Our room had a problem with the toilet drain - basically the room flooded when you took a shower, the toilet choked the first morning. The staff were very helpful and offered to move us the next day as they were full the day we checked in. When I asked if I could have a refund if I moved to a another hotel (we wanted to be nearer the beach) the manager said that wouldn't be a problem. So that's what we did and although our new room was huge and had a fantastic sea view (The Serendipity Resort Hotel) the noise from the surrounding bars until 6am spoilt our time there. We therefore regretted moving from The Coolabah and wished we had just moved room. The main reason was that the hotel was quiet at night and the food in the restaurant was really delicious. Great salads and deserts as well as good Asian and Western mains. Oh one last thing the pool is basically for children only as it's small. All in all I recommend this hotel particularly for families.
cool place to stay in heart of Sihanoukville beach”
second stay was excellent, nice friendly staff, great location near walking street, beach, and ferry, good room with free wifi and cable TV and nice bathroom, excellent menu with live saxophone at night. only problem was air con kept freezing over but they did fix it.
We stayed in the terraced room on the third floor and it was lovely. We had comfy deck chairs and a view of the sea in the distance. The room was really clean and comfortable and even though the location was central, it was very quiet. The staff was very helpful and we would recommend this hotel!
My stay in this hotel was extremely pleasant. The layout and the ambience were just right. it was in the low season, but the staff were very alert, helpful and polite. Unlike the many restaurants in the area. I would like to mention Elizabeth, a charming lady from Bulgaria who as front of house was excellent. She gave me a very warm welcome on arrival, and is a top professional. I stayed 2 nights and she always asked if everything was O.K. The rooms were very clean and had all the quality toiletries of a higher star hotel. I travel a lot, and this was by far the best 3 star hotel I have stayed in. Great value for money
Smart little Hotel”
Stayed at Coolabah for a week and found everything great. The food was fresh and cooked very well with some great choices, The staff very friendly and helpful, The pool is small but adiquate for the moring or late evening swim. Location is perfect with only a 5 min walk to the beach. There is no lift so if stairs are a problem I would advise against staying here but overall a lovely hotel to spend your time in Sihanoukville
Great central place to stay ”
Coolabah Hotel worked out great for me. The rooms were fine, staff were all professional and friendly, the small pool was nice, and the place is centrally located in the Serendipity Beach area and an easy walk to restaurants, nightlife, Occheutal Beach, etc. (Otres Beach is a great beach for day-tripping, but a bit too quiet at night for my taste.). Only minor criticism of Coolabah is that the wifi was spotty and sometimes weak, but it wasn't a big negative. I'd certainly stay there again.
Good value, good restaurant and central location.”
Decent 3* Hotel in right in the center of the main area. Room was clean and spacey, with proper equipment. enjoyed the food of the own restaurant more than once. if you are sensitive regarding noise take care not catching a room to the backend. there is a club in the area. staff was mostly very friendly and helpful - but dont trust the recommendations for tours / trips. had a negative exp for an island stay - i guess they have their share ...
I had a pleasant and excellent stay. ”
I had a pleasant stay. The staff was especially attentive more particulary the receptionnist who greeted me excellently. Good advice on activities. The only regret is that breakfeast was not included. I escially recommend this hôtel.
Clean & comfortable with great cuisine”
A quick initial visit to the beaches of Cambodia. Hotel is conveniently located a short walk to the beach area, but not in the middle of the beach front bars (so relatively quiet). Plenty of restaurant choices nearby and various local shopping options (mainly tourist oriented). Hotel has a great restaurant/bar with both asian and western cuisine options. Would definitely stay again if back in Sihanoukville.
