Out of this world location...A great need to update certain areas that require maintenance as well as outdoor area including pool area ...hot foods to be served hot...hot drinks hot instead of half cold... Staff very plesant helpful & well mannered.....under this new management am sure these items will be upped to improve the fine tuning of this business

Booked for 3 adults with extra bed. There was no extra on arrival. On asking they delivered a very small and hard roll away and a pile of sheets. Towels were old. Shower either freezing cold or scalding hot. Not great for the money.

Room very dated and did not feel as clean as it could be. Beautiful view and on the waters edge. Staff excellent, but restaurant could do with an overhaul. Food average and overpriced.

I should have taken heed of the mixed reviews. If you got one of the few newer suites at the other end of the hotel you might have had a different experience. But the hotel is old and tired. We got a double which is perhaps orig 70s. The flush on the toilet stuck and then did not refill. When we lifted the lid to unstick it manually, it made a streaming sound all night. The heat pump made quite a racket and periodically turned itself off. There were coffee cups but no teaspoon or any bowls to have our cereal. Go stay at a motel in Opononi just down the road.

Fantastic view but Hotel in need of serious maintenance and cleaning. Our room had black mould in bathroom and dirty, rusty fittings. Light bulbs broken or too low watt bulbs. This hotel needs serious money spent on it if they want to advertise as 4 star. Was not value for money.

My Thoughts”
Enjoyed it immensely. The staff were always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The only complaint would be the size of the shower cubicles. We stayed in one of the Garden Rooms but I understand that the shower would be the same throughout the whole complex. I also think that your staff should be given better living quarters. e.g. curtains and general appearance from the outside should be made easier on the eye of the guests. Loved the idea that you mixed and mingled with the locals on the frontage and pier. Overall, a great experience and one we will definitely do again. Food was great. Especially the Omapere Fish.

I have stayed at this hotel several times now and once again I wasn't dissapointed.As soon as I drive into the resort I start to unwind.The location is sublime,I challange anyone to find fault with the outlook.A quick and friendly checkin a clean and comfortable room,I could feel the stress levels plummet. A gentle walk along the beach followed by an afternoon nap.Later on a one minute walk to the resturant,wine beside the fire followed by dinner.The resturant staff deserve a special mention,very high standard of the caliber not found often. I always feel sad when leaving this place and am already planing my next visit.

This is one of the only choices in the area, and as such it is a good stay. For me personally, the rooms are too small and too close together to permit real relaxation because I value privacy. But overall people are respectful and there are places to roam if you need to get away such as the wide lawn. Beautiful sunsets. I was a little unsure of the suitability of the water adjacent to the hotel for swimming, and the staff didn't seem to sure about it either. Overall the staff were very nice and the main reason to stay was to experience the Twilight Encounter guided tour which was well worth coming for.

Hotel with the views you will never forget!”
We stayed in Beachfront room and the view of harbor and huge golden sand dune was something we will not forget, quite amazing! Hotel has a great bar and restaurant with wide decks just right on the beach, a minute walk to a lovely pier. It is a great place for families with small kids,studio rooms open straight to the grass and the beach.Our daughter loved the swimming pool which had a shallow part as well, so she could run around and jump! It is a 3 star hotel,so don't expect amazing interior design, but room was clean and had everything we needed.We will definitely go back!Agi

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired - bathroom stank of old urine and floor was disgusting Staff - less than friendly, and not able to think outside the script they had obviously been given, yes appreciate it is not easy to get good hospo staff in a location such as Omapere but really do believe there are happier, friendlier people around than those on duty whilst there Facilities - tired, old, uninviting
