Could be a a 4 star hotel with some efford”

Awesome views lovely to wake up to with such a great view of the ocean and calmness from bungalow. The staff where friendly and helpful, I have to give Irish a special mention as she was wonderful. Unfortunately they let them self's down with poor management if you want your room cleaned you have to ask, no water, tea or coffee, mini bar, the toilet got blocked, aircon was small box style, no blankets, no tv and on check out we did not get breakfast that had been payed for and booked because cook was not there. This is a great relaxing hotel in a wonderful position they just need to these small problems

Nice painting in the room. Be aware this is a 2 star hotel. You can get a nicer place all around that whole area for $30 to $50. Horrible smell of suage, insects all over the room, no blinds or anything covering the window to the outside so we hung the 2 small towels they provided over the window which left us with nothing to dry off with. The way the owner charges these prices you may assume you're getting a nicer place. I think of this place and I literally throw up bile in my mouth.

The Best Option from 5 Star Resorts”

The room we stayed was a very big room. We are a family of 4 adults and 3 kids. They gave us the biggest room with 3 Queen size beds. The best thing about our room is we have a private garden that leads directly to bacuit bay. The sunsets in this part of the Philippines is without comparison. It is absolutely stunning. From our villa you could also see the moon sets at 4am. The resort is 5-10 minutes away from the city center so it is not crowded. We had a great stay at this resort and we are surely coming back.

Nice and quiet”

It was OK. The place was quiet thus allowing me and my wife to sleep longer. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Only concern is that the place was a bit old and seems to need a little renovation. Even though it's old the place was clean.

such a disappointment”

we were expecting a "resort" but it was nowhere near that.. staff were hard to find and they didnt really provide any service like cleaning the rooms except for the first day where they delivered breakfast. no one changed sheets, or provided extra toiletries, especially because this was not a proper hotel, but more of a house rented out by the owner. did not like our stay at all and wanted to leave after the first night.

Nice 2 star ”

We enjoyed our stay. Relaxing location. Beauty sunset views. Far enough out of town you get away from the hustle of the city but a cheap and quick taxi ride into town is always less than a min away when you walk out the gates (approx 50 pesos). Room was comfy and clean. Beach is much nicer on this side than in town. No wifi in the rooms. Breakfast was included and was very yummy, the typical eggs/toast and coffee.

Cute place but bare bones”

Overall the stay was great. If you are looking for a comfortable. no frills place then you will like Coral Bay. It's a 5 min trike ride to downtown but is on the beach and there a few dining options near by. They also serve free breakfast which was really good. Arrive before dark though as this isn't a traditional hotel and there may be no one available to check you in.

Nice people but horribly over priced ”

Coral bay is in a great location, outside of El nido and close to beaches and a great dive shop. However, it's ridiculously over priced for what essentially is a small private room not on the beach. They don't clean the rooms during your stay, offer minimal toiletries, no fresh towels and no sun loungers on the beach. A hostel next door costs a fraction of the price for essentially the same thing.

Nice location, but no value for the money”

The Coral Bay has a really nice location. And that's it. We paid 420 Dollars for 3 nights, got a standard which wasn't by far corresponding to the payment. All the equipment, installations etc. are worn down, there is no comfort at all. You get a small breakfast, and when I asked for another scrambled egg, I had to pay 200 Pesos on the top. In El Nido you get for 160 Pesos a complete breakfast. So it was a rip off. I can recommend it only to somebody who is willing to pay a lot of money on a nice place in an awful hotel. As there were reconstructions going on in the back part, it was quite noisy all the day.

The place is much nicer than the amateur pictures shown on its page. Overpriced is the norm in the area and this place is no exception but we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back if we had to return to El Nido. There is room for improvement in their cocktail making skills :)
