5 star tranquillity and cosiness”
Coral View Resort is one of the only 2 resorts on Sai Daeng Beach. It is a small resort with around 25 bungalows/rooms, located right on the beach where black tip sharks show up in the morning (around 6-7am). During our stay we saw 2-3 baby sharks 2 out of 3 mornings. Great breakfast (American/Thai), very nice common area with beautiful view of the sea, comfortable onshore breeze, and a billiard table. Friendly staff and clean rooms with good taste wooden furniture. Loved the Thai massage on the beach and a private long-tail boat snorkelling tour arranged by the front desk, which were both very reasonably priced. One and the only thing that could be improved is the food at the bar/cafe' (the restaurant at the next door resort offers better food, though slightly more expensive). Having said that, overall very happy experience and highly recommend Coral View!!

Good value, happy with everything. Included breakfast was nice, Thai and western food. Super beautiful location at the beach. Nothing negative to say, thanks to the team. Notice that the way to this resort is very steep. But manageable with scooter, just not to recommend if u are afraid of steep roads or riding scooter first time maybe :D

Exceptional”
Staff are very friendly. Food is good. Cocktail is nice. Prices for fodd are reasonable. You can do snorkel in front of the beach of the hotel. Snorkel materials are available. 7-11 is quite far from hotel so whatever you need, buy it before arrove the hotel. There is a timetable for car pick up if you want to go out to town. Overall it is one of the best stay.

Location View and Steep Hills”
Right on the water with its secluded beach. This resort would be one of the best on the island if it wasn't for the extremely steep access road to get to the resort. Staff are nice rooms ok. pushing 3 stars almost no in room amenities but hey you're here for the location and the beach and water activities Right?

Private beach, cool restaurant and bar. My parents had problems with insects but they fixed it. If you rent a bike you need to know that the road to hotel is too difficult for the beginners

Wonderful location”
Very quiet and feels very private. There are only two resort in this bay and one great dive shop. All staff are friendly and very helpful. We saw sharks and turtle just off this beach. Food is limited but delicious

I have lived in thailand for 13 yrs and travelled extensively. the staff at the coral view was simply outstanding. location is isolated but truly my favorite in koh tao. been to the island 7 times, so have perspective. rooms are just ok but bar location, shady beach, good snorkelling, and helpful staff make it an outstanding choice. easy to get transport to other side of island too. highly recommend.

The bay is awesome, yet remote, so no other food options while the restaurant is good and the prices are ok. Room for improvments: staff. They are superfriendly, but problemsolving and organisational topics seems like a big hussle

Great Snorkelling ”
Bungalows are really well kept and clean with brilliant access to the beach. Snorkeling is the highlight here as its quite remote and not walking distance from anyhting other than the hotels facilities many of these were shut whilst we stayed due to COVID.

Amazing spot by a gorgeous beach”
We had a lovely stay at Coral View! We loved being right by a great snorkelling beach and we particularly enjoyed lazing around on the deck of the beach bar/restaurant in between swims. The resort has its own dive shop, equipment and boats which is very useful as the location is a little more remote. They provide you with free snorkelling equipment on arrival and the resident kitten even shows you to your room. The beachfront room we stayed in was basic but right by the water with a balcony! Breakfast was okay but the restaurant serves great meals in the afternoon and evenings. A car or scooter is a must here due to the location (down a big steep hill) but the views are all worth it! Miss Koh Tao already

Wonderful scenery with not so good food”
Access to the beach with only a few steps. Great location not too far from the pier. They provide free rental snorkel and fins too. One thing that needs to be improved is the food and menu. They re more expensive than a 5star hotel food there .. with only a few option .. and the taste was just so so.

Not worth the price”
the resort location is very hidden and its not easy to travel in out especially in the night time. When the time the staff brought us to our room, we saw a snake at the balcony, but the staff tried to comfort us told us it only eat insect, very safe. WTF. telling lie to us . you can google this snake - Viridovipera stejnegeri . very positioning. although we stay at the beachfront seaview room, but we never dare to go to balcony, and they have tinted the window so its dark in the room. The environment is dirty and worse maintain. The restaurant food is worse and expensive. The Only advantage is the seaview of the restaurant. They are very slow preparing the food, take almost 40 mins for only 2 dish. The wifi is not stable, feedback to reception, they said signal is poor. so i rather use my hotspot better. In the morning breakfast time, i request for additional fried egg and they told me need extra charge. Then i said no. After that, i request for a bottle of water for my new day but they said today is my checkout day, so i cannot have new bottle of water. Well, this is a resort for nightmare, dont waste your time , go choose another any resort out there, unless you just want to have a dinner here that's fine. nice view but bad for staying overnight. Got SNAKES.

We saw whale shark”
After spent 2 nights at coral view and six nights total on Koh Tao. I have found Sai Daeng beach to be my favorite. The resort is quiet and has this calmness to it. Great place to get away and relax. There is also a dive shop run by an English guy that only do small group, we saw a whale shark at shark island right in front of the bay.
