Nice hotel poor food”
Hotel was nice, pool was great. Food was not good. All of us got food poisoning eating at the restaurant. Many menu options were not available every time we dined in. Very frustrating. When we did get the food we got sick, which was hard to watch my 12 year old barf and have diarrhea as well as my other two little ones. Breakfast buffet was ok. Front staff was not much help when I asked about booking a ferry boat to el Nido. I ended up asking a bell boy he ended up using his own phone and booked us tickets. A bit frustrating. I’d recommend for people with kids but suggest making food arrangements outside of hotel.
No service. I wasn’t able to use my phone at all, even for texting. You have to pay 100 PhP for wifi per device. L There was “wi-fi” at the lobby but it’s the slowest connection ever. Pool was great, there were three of those. We had a room with balcony, nice view.
place is great, very good breakfast buffet, pool is very nice, resort is clean and well maintained. the beef soup specialty in the restaurant was amazing :) people might be turned off because it's not in the city center, but there are a lot of local transport in the area ( pedicab ), 1 way is P60.00, no sharing just you or your group, not a bad deal. And there's not really much to do in the town so, the location for us was not an issue.
The internet is really bad . We paid the 100 pesos per day and it didn’t work . We had to call Daily and they would send the maintenance guy every single time . Pick up and drop off: they charge you without letting you know . 180 per person. We could have easily taken a taxi for way cheaper . Food. My son got sick off the food and it wasn’t the best . Given the that fact it’s nowhere near anything , you have to buy their food . My opinion.: get a hotel that’s nearer to the city. You will save more money.
Great value, don't recommend for romantic getaway with partner”
The rooms are spacious with super comfortable beds and the pool area is beautiful. Breakfast (included in our booking) was very yummy too and worth the extra money up front with the reservation. The cons: lots of children running around everywhere; I don't know if there were more children here than other resorts, but it felt like it. Maybe it was just a fluke during our stay, or maybe this place does attract families with young kids. Either way, it was not exactly conducive to a romantic resort vacation. Also, breakfast was a madhouse. The food was delicious but there is no organization and it's essentially a stampede of people squeezing into a tiny area (again, lots of kids). The stampede thinned out later in the morning closer to 8:30-9 so maybe wait until then to eat if you can? Unfortunately my body was all out of whack and I'd been up for a few hours, and getting hangry, already when breakfast started (6:30am). This resort is a 15 min tricycle ride from town.
Good 3 star hotel!”
They have clean rooms and a nice swimming pool. They also have very attentive and helpful staff. They upgraded 4 of the superior rooms I booked to accommodate 3 persons in one room for free. Great Value for money. Location is just okay because it is about 10 minutes ride by car from the main city. They provide shuttle service though. All in all we are happy.
Great place to unwind”
We stayed here for four nights at the end of our 3 week trip to the Philippines. It was an amazing stay after living on a boat for five nights when we traveled the islands from El Nido to Coron. Rooms are spacious, clean & air conditioned. There are three pools & a spa to choose from. Location is 5min from town (30PP) to catch a tricycle into town & 20min from airport (hotel arranges trf 180PP p/p each way) we had a massage which was amazing (650PP). Restaurant is small but plenty of outdoor space and reasonably priced for a chain hotel. Buffet breakfast included with option for freshly made omelette. Free WiFi in reception/restaurant only otherwise it’s 100PP for 24hours access.
For a hotel that mostly all its guest have an activity everyday..doesnt stay in there room. Every move you do , equivalent is money. Perfect example of a quote"mukhang pera" Nobu hotel, solaire, to name a few..have free wifi in there, sila per device 100,towel 100, transfer how many..walang complimentary... Better get a budget inn..than waste ur money un aexpensive room with no amenities. Only only in the philippines
Gteat hotel with all the amenities”
Highlights include: airport transfers, nearer the airport, amenities (pool, bar, beach towels, restaurant, etc), breakfast is superb, spacious room and bathroom, ample storage (place to hang wet clothes, drawers, desk, etc), friendly staff Lowlights: weak mobile phone signal, no free wifi in rooms (can be purchased per device per day), far from town proper or boat loading area (10-15min tricycle ride away from the action LOL) Overall, we enjoyed our stay here :)
Excellent location and facilities!”
They have highly efficient front desk , dining and lobby staff . Location is fantastic. Away from the hustle and bustle but not too far to access the town center. Areas of improvement would be the cleanliness of rooms. Dusty shelves, cabinets and floor corners. It didnt look like day-old dust too. I am asthmatic and sensitive to dust so it is the first thing i look out for .
The staff at Coron Westown was the best hospitality I have ever gotten compared to all the countries I visited. Very quick responses and helpful when it came to assistance with things our group needed such as first aide kit. We had one run in where one person in our group didn’t get there food till we finished eating. However, they apologized and compensated us. Every thing we ordered was amazing. Would definitely stay there again when I visit Coron. Highly recommend it.
It was terrible”
There is no signal for 3G,4G,LTE ,,,ETC Even tough I bought 3G roaming but couldn't use in this resort Not kind staff Not clean swimming pool (terrible) Not good food Not enough water and No shop for mineral water and beer This is worse then whatever I expected
We appreciate the hotel staff’s readiness to assist guests. Still, there is room for much improvement on the promptness of service specifically in delivering ordered meals. We also appreciate the nice rooms which could have been better had they made sure that floors were swept thoroughly and tables wiped diligently.
Nice facilities, but some staff need to be more professional”
The facilities are ok. Just need to upgrade services to align with the claim of being a 4-star hotel. First, it is cumbersome to always request and PAY for the wifi service on a daily basis. Free wifi is already a standard service for hotels of same level. Second, staff should be trained on how to deal professionally with guests. I requested for additional bed because I was honest in declaring the actual number of occupants. I was told that it is Php 3k for 3 nights. But upon check-out, the bill reflects Php 4.5k. To add insult to injury, the personnel in question mentioned that I may have forgotten what he said. Of course, I insisted that I can't be wrong. I asked to retrieve the voucher/invoice and the telephone conversation, but they ignore it. If the staff had been apologetic and admitted his error, I may have just let it pass. Evidently they still lack the proper training and orientation on how to communicate professionally to guests.
Great hotel for the price”
Book this place quick because it sold out long before we arrived. Although it’s not in Coron town proper, it was 10x better than what the town had to offer. Plus it was a quick tricycle ride to town. My favorite part was their top notch Filipino food. Some of their meals were better than what we had in Manila or Cebu. I would definitely come again!
Good value for price”
We are not big spenders but we splurged here for a night. It was very nice. Great poolside room and the pools are amazing. The room was massive and very nice. Comfortable bed. Staff was helpful. Breakfast buffet was very good. BIG DOWNSIDE. Internet in your room is 100 peso per device per day. This leaves a bad taste in your mouth for a luxury resort because it should be included in the price. The internet in the lobby is not very good either. Location is bad. Far from town. Which isn't good because the restaurant food (not breakfast) is bad for a luxury resort. We had a pizza that I'm pretty sure was a reheated frozen pizza. Laundry is hilariously overpriced. We got 4.5kg of laundry done at another hotel for the price of 2 pairs of socks here.
The hotel is really nicely finished, just a 10min trike ride from the main town. Our room was large and always cleaned to high standard. The pool area was a really nice chill out area, and we loved the team Christmas tree competition! There is free internet in the lobby, but you can pay 100PHP a day to have access in your room too. The staff are great and really helpful, I'd recommend staying here.
Positives: Spacious and clean rooms and bathrooms. Sufficient amenities to hang your wet swimming attire and gears. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Nice surroundings. Will definitely stay here again.
Hotel room and facility excellent, Staff service needs improvement”
The hotel has a nice pool area and the room is excellent. Probably cheaper compared to other resorts with facilities but it may be a bit far and very low data or internet coverage. If you would like to go to the town its Php30 per person. For the hotel room i advise to get the premium room with the view and ask for 3rd to 4th floor for a good view. The bad points on this hotel is the staff, not all but the frontdesk guy and cafe were slow in their response rate or inefficient or slack. As a guest you should not need to followup everytime ; started from our check-in then on our last day we had an early departure flight so we booked our breakfast for room service the night before but breakfast didn't arrive = husband was furious. They should know that time is important to keep guest waiting. The front desk lady was nice though and bellman.
Good but with a few "buts"”
Probably the best place to stay in Coron in terms of appearance and staffing attentiveness. The "buts" include the fee for the internet which is ridiculous and adds up over a 5 day stay as it is 100 pesos per device. It is outside of town a fair bit so the tri rides also add up as well as there is very little around the actual resort.
