Excellent location with great neighborhood restaurants and small convenience stores ”
We were pleasantly surprised by the Corus Hotel. It’s centrally located across from Hyde Park. The bus stops and metro stations within a block or so from the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. They allowed us to store our daughter’s milk in the kitchen refrigerator. The rooms were clean although a bit small compared to American standards, but good compared to London hotel rooms. We had afternoon tea at the hotel restaurant which was delicious. There is a breakfast buffet available but we didn’t try it. We ate at a pub, ( the Mitre) and at a Malaysian restaurant (the Tudkin)in the neighborhood , both were excellent. We loved the lobby area with the elegant yet inviting seating area. Each night there was a live performance of piano music. The piano player acknowledged us with smiles which made the place seem even more warm and inviting. I wish we had more time to appreciate the music. I appreciated was the combination of elegance, warmth and convenience.
Great hotel”
I stay at The Corus every time I travel to London. Staff are excellent. Always willing to help with anything and gonthe extra mile. I have stayed in various rooms at the hotel, some are a little dated but always clean. This stay I was in a room that was very nicely furnished, very up to date and inviting neutral colours, really nice. The bathroom had a normal shower head and also a rain shower head. Good water pressure and looks like it had been recently renovated. So would highly recommend this hotel, great location to the Central tube line and the beautiful Hyde Park directly opposite. Can't get better than that.
Wonderful Week at the Corus Hotel”
My husband and I spent a glorious week at your hotel and loved every minute of our stay. This was a "Bucket List" trip for us (we're both 75) -- one week in London, and one in Paris. Your location is suoerb. Hyde Park is lovely. The underground is nearby, and lots of good restaurants are not far either. We ate your breakfast buffet every day, and it was fabulous! We commend Hannah and Vera for their great service and friendliness. All your Concierges were very helpful too. Thank goodness they were available, as we needed their advice often and booked tours through them. We look back on our time at Corus fondly. Nice stay in London”
We stayed 5 nights in Corus hotel this time and we liked the hotel lication. It is close to all main raoads by walking. Queensway is 15 to 20 minutes walk, Edgware Road is 25 to 30 minutes walk. Hyde park entrance is just opposite the hotel. Lancaster Gate tube station is very close to hotel. One thing disturbed us and was annoying, False Fire Alarm was activated during both of our stay in the hotel. We had to evacuate , there was no proper management from the hotel. I think hotel need to fix this problem and ensure Fire Alarms Activations are accurate, not just false alarm. Appart from that everything was ok. If you look for reasonable price and good location to the London attractions this hotel is a good choice.
Good for business stay”
I have stayed at the Corus multiple times for business reasons. I feel that the hotel is conveniently located (2min walk to Lancaster Gate tube station, close to bus stops, walkable distance to Paddington station, across the road from Hyde Park, near food choices) and especially since I take the Heathrow Express from Paddington whenever I travel to London. The morning breakfast is good, albeit the same exact choices every day. Staff is very friendly and helpful - I have never met anyone who wasn't accommodating to my questions or needs. Room sizes are standard for London - I'd recommend requesting for the newly renovated rooms as they are modern and clean. If you travel for business like me, the hotel lobby is really good for short meetings and discussion, as there is ample space and facilities to do so. I keep coming back to this hotel!
Heart of the action”
With a stylish lounge and fitness centre, Corus Hotel Hyde Park offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel is situated next to Hyde Park, just a 5-minute walk from Paddington Station. Rooms also feature work desks and tea/coffee facilities. The conservatory brasserie serves a modern European menu. Olio Bar offers light snacks and beverages, and overlooks Hyde Park.
Great location very close to Hyde Park”
Corus Hotel Hyde park is very happily situated close to Hyde Park, and the underground making it easy to reach all attractions in London. Also Paddington train station is a few minutes walk away for the Heathrow express. Corus Hotel also have two nice restaurants for those who like to dine inhouse.
Excellent Hotel by Hyde Park”
We were extremely pleased with our stay at Corus Hotel Hyde Park. The staff was wonderful. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. We were very close to local transportation and across the street from Hyde Park. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Plesant hotel and great service”
London was the first stop on our trip and I must say it was plesant to stay at Corus Hotel Hyde Park when greeted with wonderful service from the reception. Rooms are rather small but location is great with food all around.(Just have to walk towards Paddinton metro) and a gorgeous park just opposite.
Good Hotel & Fab Location”
Stayed 2 nights on a room only basis. Lovely hotel, great location for the concert we attended in Hyde Park, pleasant staff. Little bemused as to why if you book breakfast in advance it is £4 cheaper than if you just turn up on the day.....whats different that warrants an extra £4 ?? Fire alarm went off on the 2nd morning, it was somewhat disorganised. We made our way through the nearest fire escape and sat outside with a few other guests, an employee appeared in a high vis vest some minutes later, shut the fire door we had come out of then asked if we were residents, we replied yes and she walked off !! We weren't asked our names, room numbers or anything !! After 10 minutes we walked back into the hotel to find everyone else had gone back in ( if they'd bothered leaving the hotel at all !! ) eating breakfast and going about their business whilst we'd been left outside and told nothing. Being in the hotel industry for over 30 years I found this to be unprofessional and disorganised. I would suggest management review their fire safety procedure and maybe more staff training would be an advantage. Other than that an enjoyable stay.
Nice hotel for the location and money”
The Corus Hotel Hyde Park is in a fantastic location. It is super walkable to Lancaster Gate underground and Paddington Station for going to and from Heathrow as well as taking the underground to other locations around the city. Its right between Hyde Park and Kensington, so the walk through the park is beautiful and easy. We had a nice size room for the 7 days we were there and stayed in an Executive room. The bathroom was quite small and the bed had a definite dip in the middle. Other than that, the front desk team and concierge were great and very helpful. We didn't interact much with the cleaning staff, but we did come into our room one day to have a half eaten cookie on our suitcase - which we didn't eat- so that was odd. It was clear that the staff ate it while cleaning the room. That made me feel a little leery about what else they helped themselves to in the room, so we kept the 'do not disturb' sign on the door as much as possible. For the most part, I would stay here again.
Great location and great hotel!”
For a mid-priced accommodation option, the Corus couldn't have been better! Rooms were clean, well presented and reasonably spacious. The tube stop in a 5 min walk max, while nearby Paddington station means you can be in your room from Heathrow within 45 minutes! Hyde park is opposite and a short walk (half an hour) brings you to Notting Hill Gate and a small but cosmopolitan collection of bars and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
Great Find for First Trip”
Corus Hyde Park was a pretty good find. Obviously the rooms are different from American hotels but I can't judge on that. The rooms were very clean and the beds were wonderful! Breakfast was really great as well! It's worth the extra money as there are tons of options! The staff was very friendly and was able to answer any question I asked. The air conditioner worked better than most in the states. Huge plus!!! The locations is pretty good. A bit of a walk but if you don't mind walking, this place is great! Hyde Park is just across the street which is great for morning walks! Overall, pretty good stay. The only thing I didn't like is that when someone ordered room service, their trays stay in the hall until the next morning when the maid's make their cleaning rounds.
Refurbished room, great location opposite Hyde park, short walk to Lancaster Gate tube and friendly staff.”
I stayed in a very nicely refurbished standard double #925. This a large hotel in a historic terrace in Lancaster Gate. It is opposite Hyde park and short walk to Lancaster Gate tube. It has all the services you would expect in a hotel of this standard including lift and restaurants including a large safe in the room and free WiFi. The staff were friendly and the room, linen and towels were immaculate. I booked the room without breakfast but the breakfast was a buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. There is a substantial discount on the price of breakfast if you book a room that includes it which is what I have done when I stay there again at the end of my trip to the UK. The only drawback was the walls were not soundproof in my room and the guests could clearly been heard talking in the next room. I thought the hotel was very good value for money.
Satisfied ”
Pros: Friendly staff. I came about 11AM and she tried to find the best solution to let me check in earlier. She understand we are tired due to Long flight. Staff at concierge was helpful as well. Location is the best. Buses just 3 mins walk away and it can go to Oxford street (390) and Piccadilly Circus (94). I took Big Bus for convenience and the bus stop is also 3 mins walk away (Bayswater). Sadly, when I was in London the nearest tube, Lancaster Gate station is undergoing construction. It is also 3 mins walk away. London Express/Connect stops at Paddington which is about 8 to 10 mins walk away. Cons: From the corridor to my room has a few steps (about 4 small stairs) which I was not aware and my mum has bad knees. But she said it is ok since it was a rather small stairs. But do take note! I am really satisfied with the hotel and I do not have any complaints. The room is just like most London hotels, small. So no complaints about it. Thanks Corus!
well located but without a view”
I stayed at the Corus Hyde Park hotel on 16 to 18 august 2013. I had booked and paid extra for an executive room which I thought would be a large room, but it wasn't. It was more like a standard room. I was disappointed that one of the two hotel restaurants was closed during my visit - I had not been informed of this during my booking. The hotel itself is nice. It is an old hotel which has been modernised and tastefully decorated. The hotel is just across from Hyde Park and close to the main road into Oxford Street which we walked to within 15 mins or cost approx. £5-10 in a taxi, depending how far along Oxford St you go. The hotel was also close to Paddington Station which was ideal to catch the Heathrow Express train
So Convenient!”
Corus Hyde Park- room was mostly comfortable and very clean. Hotel is centrally located, easy access to tube or bus 2 blocks away, across from Hyde Park and 3-4 blocks west of street with restaurants, some shops and another tube station. Tiny cafe with great cappuccino & a laundromat a block north. A guy at front desk bordering on obnoxiously rude however and one dopey bartender on first night said we could not sign charge to room.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff! ”
We had a great stay on NYE. They hotel is located alongside Hyde park by Lancaster Gate station. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the room was spotless and modern. This was our second stay and we would definitely come back. Thank you Corus!
Location, Location, Location”
Great location. Less than 10 min walk to paddington station, marble arch and Kensington palace. Just on the other side of Hyde Park from world famous shopping at Harrods. Tube station less than 5 mins walk. 24-hour London Bus #390 is less 2 min walk from hotel. #390 bus connects to London Euston and Kings Cross/St Pancras International Stations. Both are major hubs for national rail companies that have trains that travel all over the U.K., including to Scotland.
Good to stay :)”
I had a great staying during my holiday at this hotel. The room was not too small for one person. All staffs were kind and good. There is a beautiful garden in hyde park near this hotel. Tube station is close to this hotel. It might better coming to here by heathraw express or connect from airport. Paddington station is not far from this hotel. I'll definitely stay here again when i am next in london. thank you so much :)
