Fairly decent place to stay in Moscow. Good value for your money. There are some things that could be better, but hotels with everything as it should be are very expensive in Moscow. The most convenient thing about this hotel is location. It is close to center of Moscow and near metro station. You can reach any place in Moscow with no fuss. It is easily reachable from Moscow international airport Scheremetyvo 2 by taxi or combination of railway and metro. Nice thing about hotel Cosmos is also park across the street with amusement park, caffes, museums… In this park is also located exhibition center VDNH with international fairs.
I enjoyed the Cosmos hotel. My room was a standard room very large and Soviet and perfectly OK. Food was adequate. Breakfast is fabulous. Only complaint is that room service is very slow. There is a small casino plus a wide shopping area. A 24 hour supermarket is next door. Elevators are marked for different floors and there is a guard so you need to show a room key. Only drawback was too far from the city to walk. Metro is next door. The journey into town was only 5 metro stops and a complete pleasure on the Moscow subway.
Good location for Flower Exhibition”
Stayed in the Cosmos hotel many times before. This time I paid a very reasonable price for the room. Location is excellent for visiting Moscow Flowers Exhibitions across the street. Room is specious enough, internet (wifi) is not cheap but it works very well. I stsyed in a renovated room which was rather comfortable, I slept really well. The breakfast hall is not my favourite place, it is huge and not the most comfortable, I rather have breakfast somewhere else.
Your gonna like it”
Cosmos is a very nice and convenient hotel to all of Moscow via Metro . In the opinion of a seasoned and veteran traveler ,it is a very good hotel and I simply don't understand reviews disparaging the hotel which almost made me pass on staying there . Within a short taxi ride ( $10 ) you can find several good restaurants with ambiance and Russian flavor and some not very expensive . Lots of good looking girls in the lobby after 10pm on weekends . Hope y . Also, I did not have a problem with the cleanliness or confort of the room . I hope you enjoy
i stay there all the time, i love cosmos hotel, good location, nice stuff, Great breakfast,Good quality restaurants,
Good stay at Cosmos”
I had a very pleasent stay at Hotel Cosmos. The staff was freandly and the Hotel offers everything in one place. It is very big, clean and offers a lot.
The room of Cosmos is nice. The staff provided perfect service to me. I do love this hotel!
It is the hotel that i want ”
The hotel is a land mark and you will not miss it for first timer in Moscow. Great location that make you so easy to take bus to Trinity Monastery ( the bus terminal only 2 mins by walking), only 5 mins to Cosmonautics Memorial Museum, etc, 3 mins to VDNKh Metro station. The breakfast provide wide range choices, .... Great security team and service team. Although the facility is aging, but I'd like to stay there again next time.
very good hotel”
the hotel is situated close to the center (for moscow), 10 min with the metro (station in front of hotel). staff was ok, but the breakfast no so good. the hotel offers everything you would expect from a hotel.
A clean and secure time warp”
Everything was clean and tidy but the hotel was built in the late 70s and has ornery updated since. There was a lot of security to deal with though I understand it was for the safety of the guests. Breakfast was great! Trying to get a blow dryer brought to the room was difficult as an English speaker but we eventually managed. We tried to switch rooms to a hired floor than initially given because we wanted a higher floor than initially given but were told that the hotel was booked fully and we could ask again the next day. Then a security guard told us that the hotel was far less than 1/4 booked, so they obviously just didn't want to other. One thing that was disturbing was the fact that in the evening a number of prostitutes would suddenly appear in the main pub within the hotel. It was extremely upsetting but I assume that calling the police to report it would lead nowhere.
The cosmos hotel is a nice place to stay with an ok price to quality ratio. The services at the desk worked, visas were stamped and the reseption spoke good english. Apparenlty there wouls have been also a space exhibiton and pools down stairs. For someone open to metros and a little real Moscow experience the distance is no issue, as the metro takes you to centrum in 15 min for a few rubles.
Good location, but not very friendly servic”
this is a big hotel located in a fance semi-circle building, it´s located very near to the metro station and is a good place to hold conferences (i attended a conference held in the same hotel). the rooms are ok, however the carpets are very old. they don´t have teaapots in rooms, instead in some floors there are water coolers/heaters. security staff and room cleaners are not very friendly nor polite (reception staff and restaurant staff are polite). note you´ll have to show the guest card each time you want to enter. the hotel has a big dining room called klinka restaurant. you can get buffet breakfast (included in room price), lunch and dinner there. the food is ok and the price is about us$20/each. they also have a lot of cafes and restaurants in teh 1st and 2nd floor, and a big panoraamic resturant in the last floor. these are ok, but not cheap, and the personnel is a bit slow. free wifi connection is only available in the lobby, if you need internet in the rooms or inside the conference area, you´ll have to pay. swimming pool and gimnasium are also paid.
ow season ”
Airconditioned bedroom, airconditioned living room and pantry, multifunctional toilet & bath and private terrace/balcony. Has hot & cold water in the bathroom and pantry, ceiling fans in the bedroom, living room and terrace/balcony, refrigerator and water boiler. King size bed and in the living room, 2 built-in sofas that convert to beds for additional guests. Maximum number of guests in the unit is 4. Price quoted is for double or single occupancy. Includes breakfast.
Just so so room bed no tea/coffee table tissues ”
I can rate the Hotel generally as good due to they do not provide the following convenience to the guests: water jug, hair dryer, round pin plug, tea/coffee/sugar, earbuds, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste not provided inside the room. We are like patients inside the building to go outside our rooms to get our Hot and Cold drinking water. Hope the Hotel will have the facility to improve as its appearance outside doesnt match the interiors inside. Thanks.
Good location and rooms, unsatisfactory services”
It's a huge hotel and even if there was a big line for checking in, we did it in just 15 minutes. We had room on 25th floor, it was cozy and big, with clean sheets and the view was good. But one problem was that they don't clean floor every day; the second big problem was that even if we had a room for not smokers, we could clearly smell a very annoying cigarette smoke, maybe because of the ventilation system. The hotel is situated next to metro station, supermarkets, farmacies and it's easy to find parking for free if you don't want to pay the expensive parking of the hotel. The vast park nearby is beautiful and there is also a free skating rink in winter. Even inside the building there are some shops and a small farmacy. Though most of the staff is unpolite and the services provided are too much expensive for their real value. Even the gym is not free for the hotel guest (800 rublos for 1 entrance!). However, the most disappointing thing is breakfast: food quality is poor, there is not a big choice, milk is terrible so as coffee; for the price we paid in Europe is usually provided a much better meal. If u can book this hotel for a good price, it's a perfect compromise for moscow standards. Of course it's useless to pay more for their breakfast, just go somewhere else: save money and eat better.
Huge Hotel - Name Suits It Just Fine”
I will stay again at the Hotel Cosmos because of the cheap price I was able to get and its proximity to the metro. It is not a luxury hotel, many tour groups come through here, but if you need something basic, this will work for you.
Excellent hotel for the price”
we stayed for 3 nights. Fully satisfied since very near metro station and many restaurants in the hotel. Rooms a bit old but quite clean. The air con is a bit low considering its very hot outside. All in all its a very good hotel for the price we pay...will stay again the next time.
I Extend 2 days for 2 rooms through agoda i was with my wife and 2 daughters 9 and 15 years ... But at Reception they said you have to pay extra for ur daughters because it's showing 2 adults .. i said that's why i made 2 rooms they said it's under ur name so u have to pay for each child 1500 Rub otherwise they have to get out of hotel i explained that 2 rooms for 2 adult each it's normal they even don't want to listen in final i Paid
Nothing In the Hotel-Cosmos”
this hotel's location is very nice, close to the metro station, by 5 minutes' walking only. Big hotel, breakfast buffee is nice, from 8 am to 10 am. But, they promised us there is free bus to the exhibition center, while, there weren't, nobody can give us the answer of why. Also, internet is very expsensive there. I payed more than 200 USD for internet charges, which supposed to be included in the rate of room, I think.
Value for money”
Nice hotel, pleasant staff, a bit old but great for experience or business. Very close to metro, although the hotel is located a bit to the northeast of Moscow.
