Value for the money, including breakfast”
It's need Khao San Road. Throung there is no Sky line or meter, but we could choose bus or boat. If you don't know how to take the bus, just ask the lady in reception, she is really nice. And Counting Sheep receive the simple breakfast, it's hard to find in Khao Shan Road. It's a good choose to stay here. I has recommand my friend to stay here.
It was nice hostel, tho i and some other backpackers had to leave the hostel before we went to sleep as we noticed that all the beds were full of bedbugs.. i hope they do something about it as i think the hostel itself is nice and cozy, they offer free brekky and drinking water, close to khaosan road, but not in the middle of all the crazyness! They were nice to refund our money back as we didnt stay in the hostel. I would recommend this hostel if they get rid of the bedbugs.
Unfriendly staff ”
I stayed at the counting sheep hostel for four nights. The staff is very unfriendly even if you go up to them with a smile. When you have questions or you need anything, they give you the feeling you're not worthy of their time and don't really help you out at all. The beds are not really comfortable but the rooms and bathrooms are clean. There are many hostels in the same price range so if I return to Bangkok I will stay somewhere else. I just don't like the feeling of not being welcome.
Worth the money”
We were a group of 7, the room itself is really "compact" but has everything we need. clean and tidy. Location a bit of a struggle, +-1KM from khaosan road. and public transportation is a bit hard to reach. Overall, satisfied!
Nice silent place”
+ Free breakfast, renovated showers ater 3 months my last stay in this hostel. Staff girl cleaning rooms everyday. - Too early closed socialisation room 19:00.
missing a real common area”
so this is a cheap hostel with all basic services. It has even a basic breakfast.... better than nothing to start the day. For the price you practically have a bed, with curtain and a locker. As i mentioned in the title, the common area is actually only open from 7am to 7pm. so if you bring food or something as i did the first night and you want to eat it, well you have to do it in the room where it is actually forbidden to bring food. So not practical... The following night i was eating in the street near by.
Great staff and facilities.”
Overall i enjoyed staying this hostel. Especially breakfast for this price is unbeatable!
Place is Quiet and Clean”
The place is quiet as there are only few guests checked in while I was there. The shower/toilet and the dorm are clean and they do it regularly. They serve bread, coffee or tea, and eggs in the breakfast. I don’t mind the stomping on the wooden floors of some guest as I am used to staying in a hostel dorms. Nice stay!
Nice stay. Real value.”
Love my stay here. I initially struggled finding the place cause it seems near Khao San, well it is but not that near. I love the stay I had here. I booked the bus service from Bangkok to Siem Reap and I felt I should have been informed that Cambodians are ripping people off at the border. I should have known these scams earlier. More than that, I’ve had a really pleasurable stay plus good breakfast.
Okay for the price”
The breakfast was good. Other than that it was just okay. I feel like the potential to be good is there but somehow was not carried out. The beds are clean and have privacy curtains but it covers maybe 50-70%. So basically like no privacy curtains. Also the beds are very narrow. There are lockers underneath the bed but the doors opens up and it gets very awkward to open and to get to your stuff. The restrooms have no hooks to hang your towels or clothes. The walls and floor are also cement. One thing that bothered me a lot was the tiny spiral staircase going up to the dorms. Only one regular sized person can fit in it at a time. I used to live with similar staircase inside the house for a while and it was definitely a hazard, especially when you've had a few drinks. So be careful! Great location near Khaosan road and still far enough for some peace and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Overall an okay stay.
Best in area”
Cheap, breakfast included and quiet. So many hostels have crappy pop music blasting in the lobby thankfully this one didnt :)
Friendly staff. All doors have electronic locks( no manetic) full service, free water but no food, clean comfortable rooms and blankets for this price.
Inexpensive cozy hostel, normal breakfast, good location close bus stop and pier for boats.
Good price. For a few days, that's it.”
Located in a quiet street where there are many hostels of cafes and bars. 15 minutes to the bus stop. Good breakfast. For such a price is good.
Clean, simple place in nice, quiet location. Breakfast with fried eggs a nice bonus compared to usual toast and jam. Good for the price.
Good clean hostel for individual backpackers.
Calm and quiet”
The hostel is very quiet, you can actually get very good sleep ! The beds with curtains are nice and you have free tea and coffee all day. But the staff is not very sympathetic, they didn't smile or even looked at us during the 3 days we were there...
This hostel have our cafe with a/c for
Lovely and quiet!”
Comfortable bunk in a quiet room (apart from the odd resident, which is to be expected in a dormitory). Breakfast is simple with bread, jam and fried eggs. Free water refill available and loads of restaurants and street food around.
Very quiet ”
The hostel is really quiet, so good for just sleeping. The qiuetness created a weird atmosphere though... everyone even the staff was whispering even throughout the daytime and it made me not feel welcome. It was ok for one night i wouldn’t stay again though.
