This older hotel still has its charm but needs hel
The hotel's location is just right as it is not in the middle of busy Cagayan de Oro. It actually comes before downtown CDO when coming from the new airport. It is also walkable from the national highway - about a 3-minute walk. That said, location, for me was the best attribute. In other aspects, the room was relatively "clean" but I don't know what will show up with I had one of those black lights. The floor tiles in my room was stripped off the floor so I had bare concrete under my feet. The room has a weird smell, could be of mold, based on my limited experience. The bathroom needs either a paint job or a fresh coat of paint. The sink is leaking and all they could offer was a pail under it to keep the floor dry. The shower head was a bit dingy and needs serious cleaning. As for the water, we lost running water for a few hours early in the morning. Water pump supposedly broke and so everyone who needed to take a shower had to wait. Too bad for those who were already in the middle of a shower when the pump broke. As for the food service, the "free breakfast" had limited choices: canned vienna sausage, canned tuna flakes, or canned corned beef with scrambled or sunny side up eggs, and a cup of fried rice. Coffee was instant 3-in-1 coffee and orange juice obviously came from a powder mix. For someone who stayed for more than 3 days, I knew I had to repeat one of my breakfast choices. The hotel restaurant wasn't any better. Menu items are very pricy and when the food arrives, you realize you don't get much value for money. Better yet, just walk to the national highway and you will have better options for lunch and dinner (if you don't mind canned meats, the breakfast is tolerable). WiFi connections were fast though. :) The location and accessibility of the hotel was a primary consideration for so I chose it over the others. I guess, for a fee of P1,000 a night in a twin room, I knew I had to manage my expectations. It's good I didn't expect much because the h

Only good thing is the pool
Booked for few rooms with family, upgraded rooms from standard to superior with additional payment. The room have a different smell, the walls are stained,a lot of things doesnt work e.g hot water, kettle, electric wires not installed properly,no cups and the staff are were not very accomodating.Their breakfast was poorly serve ,kids are not included qith the free breakfast so you have to add an order that cost 240 for somethng basic, its not even worth the price. The only good thing about this hotel is their pool, children enjoyed swimming. Will not go back again .

The place needs renovation. It would be acceptable if it was next to beach or in a nice area
We looked at our rooms and decided not to stay, forfeiting our Pre-paid no refundable fee for 3 nights. This place would be ok if your just looking to save money

Helpful staff big rooms and nice pool tiny sauna
The rooms are spacious but dark. When they messed up two times my sauna booking and I said two times we came early for use sauna now we go out again taxi and we already loose 400 pesos taxi they upgraded the room. So they try. The sauna not hot temperatures. It is maximum 50 degree Celsius not enough plus small. The pool nice and pool pass needed which u get " not" at reception automatic when telling them keep my bag safe I go swimming and having swim clothes in hand. So when I was in the water a worker ordered me walk lobby wet and get it. I said wait called another walking worker and told him to do it. It is located not near any Mall or shops no load for phone at reception available and in nighttime no food available. U need taxi to come and go and if all taxi busy you may wait long! Long means fifteen minutes plus. Only stairs to rooms . Water is free outside in corridor but at 10 pm room service call room last chance for order. I wanted water small bottle cost with service fee 80 pesos. Hot water they bring by request. Before 10 am no food orders in restaurant. Noisy functions can disturb breakfast. They have conventions in Hall next to breakfast restaurant. If u like listen noisy insurance brokers or church conventions while try talk or eat that's your place! I stayed cause a flood made all city hotel fully booked and no access to busterminal. They offered a single room no electricity no light no Aircon but Not lowered the price! Welcome to Country Village no hot shower by the way!

Swimming pool for the kids was not clean when we were there.
Short staff, they have 6 people on the counter desk when we checked in but nobody assist us to our room, the waiters are friendly and accommodating but it took awhile to have our food served. It was an average stay overall.
